Heron watches his sister succumbs to her giggle fit. He shakes his head, telling himself not to think too hard about what it is she is laughing about. At the same time, though, he couldn't help being curious.

"And just what is so funny? Surely you don't find the idea of your dear brother being scared out of his wits amusing, do you?"

A beautiful roaring scream, of joy and sorrow so extreme...

Her mild annoyance fades with the newly replenished blush and repentant admission. "Well.. it isn't as if you are the only person I've ever heard ramble on like that." She tells him, a small and playful smile forming. "The elders of my tribe are known to go on and on about the glory days. We are taught at a very young age not to get them started. Especially if they are drunk."

Realizing that she has no idea which tent is supposed to be hers for the night, she scans the camp around them. "Oh, and by the way. I wouldn't talk to Eva like she's one of my kind. She was obviously raised with your people. I don't think she'd appreciate being grouped in with us. Say um.. which tent will I be in anyway? I'm assuming that we have to share since there are so many people here."

"It was more the way that Aerith is going to beat you when she figures out you were checking out her keester..." She confesses, her eyes dancing with mirth. "It's because her hair is blue too, isn't it?"

Ky nods in response to her inquiry. "Very astute of you to guess that. Yes, we are quite overpopulated. For tonight, you and Evalin will stay in my tent. It is a bit larger due to my stature in the Iron Fist, and should accommodate the two of you well. I still have much to do tonight, so I most likely will not be sleeping there if at all. Is that alright with you?"

Heron blushes, he averts his eyes from Naelonni. I an attempt to maintain his composure, he clears his throat. "As a matter of fact, no. It is not because we both have blue hair. Aerith is a stunning beauty, and I was intoxicated by her mere presence."

A sly smile forms on her face. "You know, I've been invited to many a young man's tent before but you are the first to be so bold as to invite a second girl as well." She teases Ky. "Or are we not to be the reason why you aren't going to get any sleep tonight?"

Standing tall on her tiptoes, she places her hand over her heart and raises her eyes towards the sky. "I was intoxicated by her mere presence." She mimics, her arms swaying dramatically as she gives it her best wooing voice.

Shaking her head, Nae snickers again while picking up the next box to hand over to him.

"Do you have any idea how silly that sounds? The only girls who like boys that talk like that are those flashy noble girls who hover around the knight's practice yard. They pretend to drop their hankies on the ground, then bat their eyes and coo when some boy scoops it up for them."

"You don't want a girl like that, do you?"

Ky blushes yet again, but clears his throat and collects himself. I must not allow myself to succumb to my baser urges. I will conduct myself as a gentleman.

He smiles to her, "I have many tasks that I need to attend to before we depart tomorrow. Such is the duty of a person in my position. If you or Evalin need anything, look for any men with a small lightning emblem on their shoulder. They are the soldiers under my command and will be instructed to provide you with any necessities. Is there anything else I can do for you before I go about my business?"

Heron playfully shoots her a dirty glare and snatches the box out of her hand, "As a matter of fact no, I wouldn't want a girl like that. Those bubbly rich maidens who attended class with us were absolutely unapproachable. I don't see how any man would desire one of them."

He places the box in the cupboard with other ones that look alike and muses for a bit. "I know I must sound silly when I talk like that, but there's something different about her. Although a fat load of good it's going to do me, she's our senior. I highly doubt that Kae'dryn Ishtarelm is going to allow me to court her most favored apprentice."

{Rizel}

[I hope ya'll saw my post on page 21...]

Relieved to see Talise leading Ky away, Rizel smiled to herself. If there had been guards watching her, they certainly weren't now...

Making the decision in an instant, before she could fully think it out, Rizel sprung up and sprinted away in a most deer-like fashion. She dodged around people, who hardly realized she was a human before it was too late. Her long hair and cape fluttered behind almost weightlessly.

Taking large bounds into the ever-thickening forest, Rizel's usually strong legs gave out, due to the previous exhaustion and pathetic recovery. She rolled down a shallow hill until she hit a log. Her chest heaving, she crawled in the log and waited. A small, curious snake slithered on her warm leg and seemed to wait, too.

The sounds of the camp were faint now, covered up by the overwhelming and comforting sounds of the forest.

{ I did see your post on page 21, but it said that you were trying not to be noticed, so I didn't notice you. I thought it would be rude to make my character see you if you were specifically trying not to be seen. I didn't realize you were leaving the roleplay entirely! I'm sorry we didn't really get to play together. Have fun wherever you are going!}

Asmyrra's angular features took on a much more serious expression as she listened to her friend's words, for once exhibiting a level of control over her typical verbal outbursts. Johannes knew only too well how prone Asmyrra was to voicing her opinion... it was one of the reasons he took note of her, initially. Hearing the shush-motion that was made regarding the attacks on unpopulated areas... or, at least, not populated by Humans... she shifted slightly, those almond-shaped eyes narrowing faintly as she considered the implications.

At the notice that a full-blooded elf had decided to join their small army, however, those dark-coloured brows arched upwards sharply. "Did she say where she came from? Is she Faen'dorei or Kael'dorei? ...and the Paladin's Rod had a half-elf within it's walls?

Never mistake tears for sadness...
Eva watches the pair wander away with faint amusement. Though she was still more than a little embittered by her remembered past, the humor of the moment was not lost on her. Dropping her small pack to the ground, she removes the bow from her shoulder once more and unstrings it. The trip had been an uneventful one, for which she was greatful, but she had kept her bow strung until she was sure of her acceptance into the group. There was still at least one gaze on her that she could feel boring into her back but that was to be expected. Caution did not necessarily indicate mistrust.

Coiling the thin wire around her first two fingers, she drops the wire into a small, well-oiled, cloth bag which in turn went into a leather pouch which hung from her belt. The motion was an oft practiced one with a tone of caution. Eva had once had the unpleasant experience of a snap bow due to an uncared for string during a skirmish which nearly cost her life. Regardless of her own suspicions of certain soldiers who had wandered near her gear, she took the blame of the malfunction stoically and resolved never to be caught unawares again. Three spare wires settled in their own oiled bags, ready for use should she require them. A bit much but her caution had served well in the past. it did not mean she did not trust her bow. Merely those around her. She smirked at the dark humor, leaning lightly against the scarred wood bow. It was older than her but strong, and made of wood she could not name. The stain that had been used was a dark one mirroring that of blood stained earth.

Eva considered it appropriate.
...that will only bring you grief.

Noticing the blush and the signature throat clear, Talise was pleased that her innuendo did not go unappreciated. That makes her smile.

"It must be very important indeed to pull you away from the company of two fine young ladies." She replies smoothly, that playfulness still hovering in her tone. "I suppose the only other way you could help would be to point out the tent to me. I think I could manage collecting Eva and bringing her in for the night."

Slipping her arm free from his, she shifts the hand to her hip. "Is there anything we should know or do before morning?"

Ky ponders for a moment and nods, "Since we are relying mostly on you as a guide, any maps or records of the Elven territories would be most helpful. If you could compile everything you have I would be forever grateful to you."
