(( sweatdrop Heh. I swear, I did not start that. You can go and look. I didn't start it, the not-creepy non-internet-rapists started it. ... Yeah. Moving on.))
Jaclyn looked like she as about to object, but at the last second she seemed to change her mind. "Yeah, whatever," she growled, but she followed Paul inside without further comment.

Lito cringed as she spoke, then began to follow along silently. Maybe if she didn't see him, she wouldn't kill him.
((Ever seen Advent Children, Bayer?))

((I haven't, in fact.))
Inside, it was just as he had described: really nice. It was hard to tell where they'd be sleeping, but there was a projector that appeared to be hooked up to more than a few recent gaming systems - a game of Gears of War IV was paused in the middle of chainsawing a Locust to Kingdom Come. Carpet, pool table, foosball table, ping-pong table, sofas, computers, laptops, random firearms, more random firearms, more random ammunition, more random magazines for both random and more random firearms, scopes, knives, grenades, everything - it was just sitting around, almost rat's nest like. Little did the rest of them know that Paul had managed to make this mess in just two hours this morning, directly after General Jimson had left. The walls were better - stupid warning signs, a lot of H&K posters, video game posters, several "Secured By " signs, and the like.
"Yeah, the sleeping quarters are off there and the showers and bathroom are over there," Paul told them, pointing out doors. "When you want to get something productive done, you can go over there to the 'Serious Room.'" It was so marked, too, in large, colorful letters cut out of construction paper and glued to cardboard and then taped with a lot of duct tape to the door. In fact, the more they looked, the more they realized there was a lot of duct tape sitting around, probably more duct tape then ammunition and firearms combined.
Which was saying something.

((Damn it! Go watch it. Now.))
Lito whistled as he looked around. "Wow. I like this place." He wandered over to the bathroom, emerged a minute later, and went across to the sleeping areas. "Are we getting roommates, or can I have my own room?"

At this point Lito remembered that he had been shot in the freaking stomach.
"You get your own room unless you want a roommate. And don't ask Jaclyn," Paul suggested cheerily.

He had been wearing a bulletproof vest, but it never hurt to get checked out. Well, it did, but...yeah. "Awww, damn! You got me!" he said as he rolled his eyes. He looked around. "Where's the med facility?"

At his request several people burst out of the "Serious Room", nearly knocking the sign off the door despite its gallons of duct tape. They grabbed Lito and dragged him back through, apparently rough and fast since his injury wasn't very severe.
The Serious Room was a lot more boring, it was true - it looked like basically the Serious Room referred to everywhere else on the base, which included concrete hallways and rooms and such disturbingly similar to the ones they had so recently left.
After brief operations, Lito was doing well enough that they told him he could go back. All in the space of like thirty minutes. Creepy.
In the meantime everyone else discovered that their stuff was in the hallway of the rooms, already lined up and put together. Jaclyn had her own room, rather distant from the others - the one at the end of the hallway.

Jaclyn glared at Paul, but before she could retort, Lito was forcibly dragged off into the Serious room, which was entertaining enough to thoroughly distract her. By the time she remembered that she was supposed to be cussing someone out, it no longer seemed worth it. Muttering incoherently in spanish, she retreated to her room and slammed the door.

"Who would really be insane enough to choose to room with her?" Devin pointed out when Jaclyn left.

"We had a couple newbies try it for the sake of womanizing. He left very quickly," Paul informed them.

"That sudden switch from plural to singular implies everything I have come to suspect about her," Devin declared.

((Aaaaaaand this conversation is over.))
Lito laughed, holding his stomach. "I like fiery women, personally. You should see them back home, they're just like that."

"There's a difference between a woman who's fiery and a woman who would probably enjoy having v****a dentata, man, and I'll bet you I can guess which one she is," Devin replied in a faux-conspiratorial voice.

"I do stand corrected," Paul told him. "We only had one guy try. We dissuaded the rest.
"And do they have a tendency to shoot people they don't like back at home?" His seriousness was debatable, but given what they'd just seen, it wasn't actually all that hard to believe.
---
After a moment, Jaclyn realized something was wrong. She could hear her own breathing, and...
"Down, lay down and put your hands on your head," a ragged voice demanded from... my gosh, he was hiding in her closet. He was bleeding pretty badly from several bullet wounds to his arms and torso, as well as what looked like a cut from a knife from knee to hip on his left leg. In his hands he cradled an AKS-74u. His expression was one of utmost contempt. He was badly shaved, wearing glasses, shaved head, white... he looked remarkably similar to Paul, in fact, except for a few distinctly Russian features, and his accent, even though his English was perfect.

"Oh, come on," Lito laughed. "She's not even that bad. My little sisters were just like that. I'm gonna go introduce myself, if no one else will." Lito skipped down the hall and knocked on her door.
