((Lolz.))
Mei lifted her head when Talen talked and Abel took a step away, trying to fix his hair that she had rubbed around. He looked up and shook his head. "It's not his fault, don't listen to him. I was stupid enough to just take him and get away...I didn't know what I was doing..."
Mei stood there and shrugged. "It's both of your faults. Stop trying to take the blame. He got you into the mess, as far as I'm concerned. And you were the one who followed after him and decided to play guardian angel. You also never stood UP for yourself until you were so confused and so distraught that you let instincts take over and went crazy. So honestly, you both should be yelled at and punched in the face for being so stupid to get involved with someone like that disgusting excuse for a living being." She said and then stopped, looking to Talen. "Huh?"
Abel laughed lightly and watched Mei as she grinned and tilted her head in that cute manner only a woman could manage. "Well I was talking about you. But Abel's cute too, in that...innocently pure kind of way. But sometimes a guy who's more tough and dirty is good too." She said with a tone of voice that sounded a bit more seductive that should have been used.
Abel rubbed his face and shook his head. "Mei...um. Could you tell me why the other two aren't here?"

((WHEEEE. I have two fingers taped together... so typing is weeeeeird... LOL. And hahaha, I like her XD She's SILLY.))
Talen stared down at his feet as they were both scolded. He was almost grinning and kept glancing at Abel, eyebrows raised high.
"I guess we're both losers." He said while rubbing at the back of his head, but somehow was satisfied with this response. "She's right." And he laughed. "I LIKE her, I dunno what you were talking about, Abel."
What she said next drew a single word from him: "Oh." And he seemed distinctly ruddier beneath his tan. He stared at nothing in particular and seemed distantly embarrassed. He could hear Alice laughing from the kitchen door and he tossed her a look and tried to shrug it off. "Dirty." He mumbled and scratched at his tattered hair.
When Abel asked his question he seemed to come to. "Why ARE you here?" He wanted to know. "Are you like... the last resort? Has Abel screwed up so royally they had to send you?"

"Losers." Mei agreed and smirked slyly before Abel spoke up. She watched him with an unreadable face and then looked at Talen when he repeated the question. "Is there an echo in here?" She asked and then ran a few fingers through her dark hair.
"Most of the time I am." She said simply. "But I usually don't get called for protection. I'm here to keep an eye on you folks, but most importantly you two. I really don't know the major details in all of this. Usually I am called to clean up the mess made with demons. I get rid of the problem. But for now I'm just here to make sure you fragile things don't die or that Abel doesn't get so screwed up that he goes crazy."
Abel stared at Mei, paling slightly. "What do you mean?"
"Awww s**t...did Hans and Gabriel not tell you ANYTHING about the world? You're so damn sheltered. Goodness." She took a deep breath and cocked her hip to the side. "Let's just say that there have been some incidences when angels got too far over their heads and they kinda..." She pushed Abel's forehead with a finger. "Lost what was in there."
Abel swallowed and he furrowed his brows. "You...what...happens to them?"
"Abel...you're already beaten up, let's not add to your pain with all these stories okay? I smell food, you gonna feed me or what?" She laughed and pat his head. "Go on, go make something for me."
He sighed softly and nodded. "I'll heat it up." He said softly and disappeared into the kitchen. After he left, Mei turned her attention to Talen and made a grim face.
"Your friend, with the reddish hair? The dead looking one? Do you trust her?" She asked Talen. "I know Abel does, he trusts anything that breaths. Hence why I can't really know if she's okay or not by asking him."

((Gooo pooost goooo... then I need to laaay down... ahahaha, good grief. WHY COLD WEATHER?! WHYYY?!))
Talen grinned almost sheepishly. "But I wanted to contribute to the conversation." He said and rubbed at his neck and then he frowned. "Protection?" He looked behind himself as if she might have been talking about someone else again. "I'm not the one who needs protecting."
Then he titled his mouth thoughtfully and stifled a laugh for his friend's sake at the sheltered comment. When Mei ordered him to make her something to eat he watched him go briefly, and might have followed had he not been met with the young woman's grim look. He crossed his arms over his chest and waited expectantly. What she asked almost made him laugh.
"Lilith?" He said, and grinned. "Yes. I trust her." He nodded slowly. "I mean... I've kinda seen what she can do, but... I trust her. If it hadn't been for her... I'm pretty sure Abel wouldn't have needed protecting... he might not have been here anymore, or me either for sure. I dunno how it works with... you people... if that's what you are too, but she protected Abel, if that's what you can call it, and that's enough to earn my trust." Talen then nodded and patted Mei on the shoulder.
"Abel makes some extra mean crispy bacon." He made sure to mention before striding off to be with the others in the kitchen.

Mei listened quietly to Talen and nodded a bit. After Talen went into the kitchen she lowered her eyes and slipped out a cell phone from her pocket. It was perfectly black with a single light blue emblem on the back in the shape of a circle. She typed in a message, sent it, and then put the phone back. Afterward she followed everyone else into the kitchen.
Lilith looked up briefly when Mei walked in before turning back to Saul. "You want to get out of the house or something?" She asked him. "I need to just walk somewhere..."
Mei smirked towards Lilith at her conversation before moving behind Abel who was busy over a pan. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and stood on her tiptoes to place her chin on his right shoulder. Abel glanced up but went back to cooking. "How come you never cooked for me back home?"
"You never asked...and you were never there when I did." He said quietly, turning over some bacon. Mei sighed softly and shrugged.
"I was always busy...I still am. They never give me a moments rest it seems. I'll always be trying to prove myself to them I think." She whispered and let go of Abel. She lifted one of his wings and frowned. "You don't even know the simplest thing."
"They never taught me." He said and turned off the stove.
"They're worthless aren't they? My goodness, not even preparing you to fit in! Did they expect you to walk around and just say your mother mated with a dove or something?" She snorted and took a step back to let Abel pull out a plate and put food on it. "Well I'll teach you then. It's decided, today you'll come with me and you can learn all these things they so happened to not tell you about."
Abel smiled at Mei and shook his head, handing her a plate and then moving towards Talen with the remaining bacon. "I can't leave...I have to..."
"They'll be fine! They have that thing to watch them." She said of Lilith which produced nothing out of the other woman.

((hahaa, I am tiiired.... rrrrrr.))
Saul looked to Lilith surprised but seemed to grin easily. He gave her a nod. "I'd like to get out... being in one place kinda drives me nuts." He said, still smiling in his quiet way.
When Abel approached Talen with the rest of the bacon he burst into a broad smile. "Awww yeah. You know me too well, Abel." He took the plate from his friend and grasped a piece in his fingers before vanishing into his mouth. He munched and raised his eyebrows at Mei. "Teach him things...? Like what? Can he fly?" He glanced at Abel curiously.
Saul quirked his mouth at the woman. "Lilith." He said. "Her name is Lilith." And gently he tugged her from the kitchen to walk outside.
((hahaha, oh Saul.))

Lilith stood up when Saul tugged on her and she glanced at Mei when he spoke to her. "Huh." She grunted in agreement to Saul, her tone as hollow as ever and she followed the young man outside of the house.
Mei laughed as the two left and she looked back to Talen and Abel. "You didn't think those feathery masses were just for show did you? The guy just doesn't know how to fly, so they kind of just...sit there like useless limp limbs." She said and put some food into her mouth.
"They get in the way." Abel said quietly as he leaned against the counter, rubbing his hands together. "And since Lilith left...I should stay here..." He protested, as politely as a protest could be, and looked at Talen nervously. "I don't want to leave and then something bad happen."
Mei chewed her food as she studied the two and she rolled her eyes. "I guess we can bring him along. It shouldn't be too troublesome. At least I'll have something nice to look at while I'm teaching you." She grinned at Talen playfully and scooped more eggs into her mouth.
Abel breathed out and he closed his eyes for a moment. "Are you sure it's safe for him to be there? I might-"
"Hurt him?" Mei laughed out loud and she tilted her head back. "You're afraid you'll loose control of whatever it is I teach you? Don't you worry about that angel-face. You won't hurt him, not even a tiny little bruise or scrape. That's the magic of it all. You can't hurt someone you don't intend to. Isn't eternal life just dandy?" She finished up the rest of her food and put the plate in the sink. "Go get dressed. I have the perfect spot in mind."
((Haha we'll probably just skip the part where she's teaching Abel...since that would be no fun for you.))
When Lilith got outside she let out a deep breath and shook her head. "I wanted to punch that girl in the face." She said blatantly and looked up at the sky. "Then again, that's not unusual for most women I meet."

((wwheeeeee gooooo!!!!... yayyyyy.))
"Well, no." Was Talen's answer to her question. "But... I dunno, I mean, when I first met the guy he wasn't exactly FLYING... he kinda... well, it hurt." He paused then grinned at Abel when Mei revealed Abel just couldn't fly. "Oh. That makes sense." He frowned. "That's terrible."
Talen seemed a touch upset by Abel's reaction. "If I had wings I wouldn't think they were in the way." He said passionately. "ABEL! How could you... flying has got to be one of the... I'm so jealous right now, if you can't tell." He grinned at his friend, shaking one of his shoulder gently. "You HAVE to go! Maybe then you'd loosen up."
He glanced at Mei at her offer for him to go. He seemed momentarily shy at her remark, but was too distracted by the idea of actually being able to fly to be deterred. "You HAVE to!" He insisted along with Mei.
"And you couldn't hurt me if you wanted to." He teased. "You HAVE to go! I'm MAKING you go. You can't say no. I won't let you." And with that he drug the angel off to push him into changing clothes and did the same himself. He stood by the bathroom door, shoulder braced into it to deny any escape attempts.
"This'll be great! I promise!"
((hahahah, Oh Talen XD))
Saul glanced up at Lilith. "I kinda wanted to punch her too." He said. "But I'd probably break my hand. I just didn't like how she spoke about you...Maybe I'm just being stupid." He gave a slight smile and rubbed at his hand. He looked to her.
"You don't get along well with others, I guess?" He joked. "I dunno... she kinda seemed like she was asking for it." He seemed to wonder.

((Haha it will be like Superman and Louis Lane. And Abel can be superman and fly Talen around everywhere! YES.))
Abel watched Talen with a curious expression. "They are though...They're too big..." He said with a bit of a pout as Mei laughed at their exchange. Abel rubbed at his arm a bit and sighed softly. "I don't need any loosening up...what if I...fall or something?" He began but was interrupted by Talen's persistence.
Then suddenly he was dragged away, despite anything he did. "I mean really! It's not that easy! And I'm terrified of flying, the heights and the possibility of cracking my spine or worse...my skull!" He cried out, getting flustered as he was shoved into the bathroom. He stumbled in, turned around, and pushed at the handle but found it barricaded by Talen.
"Oh man..." He said quietly to himself and took a deep breath. "I'm gonna break my pelvic bone or quite possibly even my foot or shins...I'll have shin splints..." He spoke out loud, as if hoping Talen would hear him and decide that the risks were by far outweighing the chance of flight. After a few minutes he realized it wasn't working and grudgingly pulled on some jeans. "I can't wear shirts." He said to the door. "I can't walk around looking like this!"
((What a worry wart.))
Lilith shrugged slightly and put her hands in her back pockets. "You would break your hand. And you're also not the strongest guy in the world. You're a stick." She declared. "It's alright, it's not the way she talked...I just wanted to punch her is all. I've heard worse." Her green eyes shifted to look at Saul.
"I don't like people. They're annoying, they get in the way, and they always just want something out of everything. You should know that, you've seen it enough to know." Her head tilted and she kicked at a rock. "I just get tired of seeing the same thing. But I don't think she's like that...she just...I don't know. I couldn't figure her out. I can figure anyone out by just watching them, but her...I know nothing about her."
"Enough of that though. It's pointless. Are you feeling better?"

((IMMA POST... Or... yanno. Attempt.))
"Not gonna work, Abel! You're doing this! If not for you, then for me!" Talen said grinning. "Geesh. I didn't realize you were such a wimp." He laughed a little. "I'm tellin' ya... you'll like this!"
He waited a bit before peeking in to make sure he was mostly changed. "Ready, sunshine?" He paused, and then frowned in an amused fashion. "He has a point... those things kinda... yanno... stand out." He rubbed at his chin. "... What if you wore a cape?"
((hahaha XDDD SUPER ABEL.))
Saul laughed at her blunt statement, rubbing at the back of his head. He grinned at her. Though, then he frowned a little. "I don't know about her." He said honestly, because being honest was all he was really good at. "I just didn't like her calling you a thing." He touched her hand briefly.
"That woman..." He seemed thoughtful. "Maybe she is just as confused about you...?" He wondered aloud and then he grinned, nodding. "Yeah. I'm all good now." He joked quietly and shrugged his shoulders. "And you don't feel like punching strangers in the face...?" He smiled again in that quiet way and pretended to punch her lightly in the shoulder. "That's frowned on, I hope you know."

Abel took a step back as the door opened and he gave an unsure smile. "I'm not a wimp...I'm cautious." He replied and then looked in the mirror when Talen agreed with the wings. "I told you..."
Yanmei came around the corner with a look in her eyes. "Lesson number one is how to put them away, then." She said with a grin and walked close to Talen to examine the angel. "Just do what you did before. Relax...and just imagine them gone. It's really not that hard to do.
Abel frowned and closed his eyes softly. He took a slow and steady breath.
"There, now just imagine it..." Mei calmly said and leaned against the doorway. Abel tilted his head to the side just slightly and breathed out. A subtle light covered his body, making his figure seem blurred and hazy. As it disappeared there were no wings, only a few feathers on the bathroom floor. His face looked pained and he winced.
"Ow..." He muttered and pushed back his shoulders. Mei laughed a bit and shrugged.
"That wasn't too hard was it? And it hurts because your wings are injured...the pain just transferred to your back. Now lets go, we don't have forever...well WE do...but he doesn't. So let's move it. Get a shirt on." She said and walked out of the room.
Abel picked up his shirt and pulled it over his head and shoulders. After he was done he looked at Talen with a smile that seemed to have just the littlest bit of pride and excitement. "I guess we're going now." He said and walked up next to Talen. "I feel weightless..."
((Uh probably because you are, ya crazy...))
When Saul touched her hand, Lilith looked down at it and back up to him. "It's okay. It doesn't really phase me...names aren't important anyways." She gave a little shrug and kicked at the rock again. "No, I don't." She watched him when he playfully punched her in the shoulder.
At that moment she wished she felt excitement or humor. But maybe the want was enough. At least she now WANTED to feel things. That was as close as she got to feeling things in years.

((hahaha, overdue post is overdue... I hate when I get busy :/ ))
Talen grinned as he watched Abel's wings vanish. "Pretty." He said. "Though I half wished you had sparkled for me, Abel." And he batted his eyelashes jokingly.
He glanced after Mei and then grinned broadly at his friend's remark. Reaching out he slung an arm around his friend's shoulders and escorted him after the new stranger in the house. "Well, I hope you feel like something light... otherwise I dunno how you'll get off the ground... ya fatty."
"Let's go already! This tension build up is driving me nuts!"
((lololol.))
Saul grinned at her reply and looked embarrassed somehow. "I guess it was just me that was bothered then..." But then he seemed relieved at her next answer.
"Good." He breathed. "Because I don't think anyone could stop you if you wanted to." And kissed her lightly on her cheek.
Somehow he didn't seemed put off by her cool nature, the way you could tell a joke and it didn't even earn a flicker of a smile. Maybe it was the idea that he understood her, or maybe even being near her was enough to keep him content. Either way, he smiled at her like he always smiled at her.
"I haven't been home in like... five days." And he laughed, shook his head and then shrugged a little. "You want to walk somewhere? It's nice out... and I've been laying around for a good part of the week."

Abel looked to Talen with an amused expression. When he had an arm slung around him and Talen called him fat, Abel burst out laughing. He really didn't know why it was so funny, but it was at that moment. He leaned forward slightly and put a hand to his face, snorting when he tried to hold back. "I'm such a glutton." He responded in light sarcasm and followed his friend downstairs to meet Mei who was waiting patiently at an open door.
"FINALLY! Are you two girls or something?! You take forever!" She cried out and grabbed Abel and Talen by the wrists. She tugged them out the door with surprising strength and then closed it behind them. "There's this place really close by that no one goes to. It's huge and open. And beautiful too. A perfect place. Trust me."
Abel smiled pleasantly at her and nodded. "Of course I trust you." He said sweetly and Mei glanced to him with a look of curiosity.
"You're so cheery all of a sudden..."
"I guess I just..." He trailed off and shrugged a bit. "Yeah..."
Mei raised a brow and turned back around. "I like you smiling. I feel depressed when you don't. I've never met someone like that...that makes you feel sad when their sad. But you have some amazing power of feelings or something, handsome."
Abel blinked and looked to Talen as if he was supposed to say something in response.
((Dumdumdum.))
Lilith watched him and let him kiss her cheek. She nodded and put her fingers slightly up as if to touch the kiss, then dropped it. "True. I'd probably punch them anyways." Down in her stomach she felt a strange sensation of lifting weight for the briefest second when she reflecting on Saul's subtle gestures of kissing and hand touching.
"Walk where? We're walking now. I'm fine with that, just walking. I do it often. No goal...just letting my legs move." She said and looked away.
((Hahaha they are an odd couple indeed. Lilith is like Saul's pimp or something. I can imagine her as the dominant person in the relationship...
because she IS.
What a beast.
Literally. Hahaha.))

((WHEEEE. GOOOOOO.... And... hahahaha, this movie coming out.... Drag Me to Hell...? LOOKS HILARIOUS. Just for the record.))
Talen gave a sideways smirk at Mei's girl remark and batted his eyelashes, swinging his hips out with a fist planted firmly on his hips. "Only when it comes to getting ready, darling. This?" He used a hand to widely indicate his face to his lower regions. "Doesn't happen on its own. THIS takes WORK."
And with a comical sniff he glided down the steps in his best impersonation of a Miss America contestant. He then grinned at Abel when she remarked he seemed happier. He waggled his eyebrows.
"Us girls connected on a emotional level... you know. Nail painting." He punched Abel lightly on the shoulder. "Pretty in Pink is the colour, if you must know."
He then shook his head at the somewhat helpless look Abel gave him. "It is hard to be up when you're down. Don't sweat it. You can't help you're so pitiful and in need of... well... pity... when you're sad." He stood out in the sidewalk glancing at either side of the street. "So where is this place? Lead on!"
((WHEEEE.... THAT FELT GOOD.. Oh yeah! Saul too.))
Saul watched her almost curiously when Lilith reached up to touch her cheek. The corners of his mouth twitched. That simple gesture somehow inspired him to take her hand and intwine his fingers in hers. He felt a heat in his ears, but ignored them and focused on how easy it was for him to feel so light around her.
He then gave a slight laugh, a sort of chuckle, which for Saul was more like a shaky sigh. He shook his head. "If you just want to walk and let your legs move... we can. I didn't want you to feel bored with me..." He ran his free hand through his hair. "Maybe I could..." He frowned. "Ask you some things... about you." He seemed somehow unsure, but managed to bring his eyes to attempt to make eye contact.
((OKAY SAUL. But yeah... I figured KNOWING SOME MORE ABOUT LILITH COULD BE INTERESTING. YOU KNOW. AND ALL THAT.OKAY YAY ME.))

((Oh man. That avatar. What a HUNK. If only I could pull of your pixelated boxers and- ))
Abel frowned ever so slightly at Talen's comment and looked away. "I'm sorry...I didn't realize..."
"Don't apologize for you being you. It's...you..." Mei made a face as if disgusted at her words and shrugged. "More smiling!" She turned around as they stepped outside and pushed Abel's cheeks upwards. He quirked his brows, making his face look even more adorable. Mei burst out into laughter and grasped Abel into a hug, leaning her face against his chest. "Oh man! You're great. You're just wonderful!" She exclaimed and took a step back, watching him smile at her. She rubbed tears from her eyes and shook her head. "If I hadn't already made it my goal to make Talen fall for me, I'd so be making out with you right now!" She nodded, smirking as Abel's face turned red.
"Uhm...yeah...where's that place you were talking about?" Abel said, changing subjects. He waited for Mei to collect herself. She turned back around and pointed to the right, skipping as if ready to take flight and then started in that direction, not giving the two boys time to pause.
In only about ten minutes of cutting through people's backyards, running away from dogs, (One of which was a yippy poodle that Mei kicked in the face with much pleasure.) they arrived in a secluded field of yellow and green. The sun hit every blade of grass so perfectly it appeared as if it were glowing. Abel stood there, staring at it for a good few minutes. Mei wandered into it, arms outspread, letting the long grass touch her. She then turned around and watched them.
"Well? Come over here, angel face! We've got work to do!"
((Lol, angel face...literally!))
Lilith looked over to Saul when he wrapped his fingers in her own. She didn't do anything to remove it. She just looked ahead and felt the beat of his heart through his hand, feeling the pulse of blood go back and forth with each pump. She studied the heat of his finger tips. They were so warm against her cold skin. She had felt intense heat before, thanks to her brother, but there was something different about the normalcy of the warmth of a human's body. It somehow made her a bit more relaxed.
"About me?" She glanced at him, catching his gaze. Her lids fluttered a bit and she looked away. "What could you possibly want to know about me? There's nothing nice or worthy really. Either you'll be disappointed or scared." She said, and for the faintest second, there was something like shame in her eyes, but it was gone as quick as it had come. "You know enough..."
