"Right? Then, don't worry about a thing. I'm an expert at stabbing into the heart of trouble," Shiki said and flexed his arm jokingly.

Sandra laughed when he flexed his arm. he looked kind of pathetic. "And I can hold it still," she said and a vine like reed wrapped itself around his arm to emphasis her point. "I think we make a good team," she said with a smile.

Sandra laughed along with him. "Nothing can best us!" she added and then had the reed release Shiki so he didn't hurt it by mistake.

Shiki just laughed a bit now. He was starting to enjoy this girl's company a little bit more. She was playful when she had to be and serious when the situation called for it; like Arcueid only more childish. But this level of childishness was good. It keeps the soul young for that much longer. His doctor keeps telling him that. He guesses that's why he's still not retired yet.

"Ah..." Shiki sighed contentedly, "I haven't had this much fun since that time with the rifle in the back yard," He said with a nostalgic smile. Of course, it was an actual rifle with real bullets. He opened fire on Arcueid that night. He thought it was quite humorous, even if he never landed a hit.

Sandra raised an eye brow at him. She didn't now what a rifle was or what was fun about it. Sometimes she wonder what kind of world Shiki had lived in.

Shiki noticed that Sandra was confused, "It's a bit of a tall tale, but do you want to hear about it?" He asked. Well, it was actually something that happened in a dream when he was in a coma, but he and Len occasionally have a good laugh at it. It was so weird and random that they couldn't do anything else but laugh at it. It seemed so real when he was experiencing it.

Shiki laughed again at Sandra's excitement, "I guess I should start by saying that this was all something Len cooked up when I was in a coma after a traffic accident. I just went along with it because I didn't know better," He smiled, "Okay. Well, to start with, that whole day, I kept hearing these rumors about a monster that lived in the detached building next to the mansion. That's a small oriental building where the servants used to live. Now it's just an old building needing repair. Anyways, you know how it is when you hear a story like that right?" He asked. He knew her innate curiosity would easily know that he went to find out. It was a given. But the real fun happened when he went there. He just wanted to know if she was still following along before he continued.

Shiki nodded, "So, you know what I did? I waited until it was nighttime, and went out into the yard to find the monster. We have a huge yard, so it would be easy to hide a monster or two right?" He joked, "So, I walked into the detached building...And then as I went to leave...I saw it! On the paper matting of the door! The silhouette of a monster!" He was getting into this story now. He never realized how fun this story was to tell. All these years it was just an inside joke for Len and himself. He knew he must have gotten Sandra's attention even more now.

Sandra looked like she was listening intently and she had a small smile on her face. Shiki was a good story-teller in her opinion. She waited for him to continue.

"At first I didn't know what I should do. The other doors were barred and that door was the only way out of the building. But that was where the monster was...So, I gathered my courage...And opened the door!" Shiki said with a little bit of excitement. "As it turned out, the 'monster' that was lurking around the mansion was my friend Arcueid in a cat suit! So I took my father's rifle, um...that's a kind of weapon that shot metal bullets, and fired a few rounds at the monster. When the monster ran away, it left me it's pelt, which I wore to bed that night," He smiled a little. He could only imagine how he looked when he went to bed that night, "But the story didn't end there," He winked.
