Well, if you've never played RE2 before my suggestion is to take your time with it, save often, and come here if you have any questions about puzzles or where to go. What scenario are you starting with?

Yeah, but once you get your bearings and get into the RPD, you'll be just fine.
((When I first played it, I always died when I got to the other side of the bus in Raccoon City. lol ))

If you don't shoot any zombies on your way to the RPD, there's really only one place where you simply can't run around them, and that's near the Basketball Court, where they break through the gate. Aside from that, all the zombies on the way to the RPD are totally avoidable.
EDIT: Oh aside from the ones on the bus.

But if you're smart and shoot the zombies behind the gate BEFORE they break through, you'll only have one to contend with, instead of like 5.

The ones ON the bus weren't bad... it was the bunch AFTER the bus that made me want to kill things. My tanking skills weren't that great back in 1998, and boy oh boy did it show.
