TheWorldIsNotOurHome Emily Kane-Living Doll Emily was sitting on back, behind Kendal. She wrapped her arms around Kendal's waist, not wanting to die. "I'm ready," She said, answering Kendal's last question. A smile spread across Em's face, she was also excited. { - Kendal }
Making sure her back warmer is holding on tight, Kendal starts off a little slower than normal so Jack has a chance to get into his groove. Once she is positive that he will have a fighting chance at keeping up, the tires squeal as she takes off into the streets, heading for higher ground.
Kendal leads Jack to the city roadways high above ground level. Once a month these entertwining streets are highjacked by local dragsters, and for two days city officials turn a blind eye as huge crowds essemble for the illegal races. Kendal hasn't missed one yet, and therefore is intimately familiar with the confusing mesh of winding pavement.
Even at incredible speeds, the view of the city from this far up is spectacular. Combined with the excitment and rush of knowing one wrong curve will send them plummeting to their deaths, this assuredly becomes one wild ride the girls will not soon forget.
But as all good things do, the 'tour' all too quickly comes to an end. In reality they had been riding for over an hour, but it never seems that long when you are having fun. Slowing down significantly, Kendal heads back towards the Muse. She pulls up just alongside the sidewalk, giving Emily a grin. "So.. what'd you think of the city?"

Minai chan "You know how protective I am of my people. If there is a chance that this traveling group would pose some sort of threat, I need to know." Well now, that was certainly an easy request. But even a fool could tell something was up, something much more than apparent. After all, the resident goddess of a place like this didn't just ask the good ol' Reverend to stop by someplace and take a peek around. She had minions and such for that, and probably a good deal more trusted, too. Soooo... time for a shot in the dark. "Your care of your people is legendary, Miz Francesca, and of course I'd be willing to look into it," the Reverend said with a comfortably formal nodding of the head. "After all, I always do my best to remain in your good graces... much easier to explain things to you, rather than to the constables, hmm?" "...but, on that note... one can't help but wonder. I've heard very little about that little plot "O" land being nabbed up, not even what's going to roost there. What's got you all concerned about your minions and monsters, my dear Lady?"

Jack Finley ___________ Do I know you?
Jack grinned, regardless that Electra could not see it.
“Get ready!” he said loudly, hoping she could hear him through their helmets. Kendal started off considerably slow, at least for her, which Jack graciously took advantage of to settle in and prepare Electra. This was going to be no kiddy ride.
He followed her almost effortlessly, though he was not comparatively as graceful as Kendal was; she was definitely the commander of these roads.
Jack tried to take in the city sights as he concentrated on killing Electra and himself; he hoped very hard that she trusted him and was enjoying herself. The feeling of riding soon transformed into a surreal feeling of flying, like a massive metal-and-flesh bird, through the incredible city.
The elation came to a end, however, though it seemed to last mere minutes. Jack slowed behind Kendal and ripped of his helmet. He hopped off and faced Electra, ready to give her hand if she needed it. He was grinning again, and this time, she could see it.

animeyumichan Nathan turned smoothly towards the woman, and paused a moment, entranced by the contrast between pale skin and stunning eyes. He managed to shake himself free, looking rather startled, and then grinned. "I seem to have lost my way and where I should be inquiring about such a thing; I am a photographer who wishes to perhaps catalogue the beauty of the establishment..." He made a small flourish towards the coloured mob of dancers. "Could you help me with this?" He made the last statement rather hopefully. «<{ Thorne }>»
A gentle wince emerged at the man's request, the wince turning into a pained smile as Thorne raised a hand and pointed behind the bar, to a single sign, not overly large, but clearly discernable amongst the various bottles:No shoes? No shirt? No problem! No weapons. No running tabs. No unauthorized intoxicants. No cameras of any kind. We reserve the right to hurt you, if you violate these rules. "Unfortunately, love... we do all of our own photography and graphics here, specifically at the Mistress's request. A lot of our models and such prefer the privacy and control over their images that our Mistress offers, and we just can't guarantee that with an outside contractor. If there's anything else I can help you with, though," Thorne offered with a hopefully apologetic smile, clearly not happy with the fact that the news was going to disappoint the young man, "just let me know, and I'll see if I can get it accomplished for ya before the end of my shift..."

e l e c t r a x x x cybernetic illuminator Electra braced herself, wrapping her arms securely around Jack's waist. Even though she would not be harmed in a crash beacuse of her metal frame, she would need to get repairs, and it would definitely ruin her cover of a human...or at least close to one. They started off slow, which was a relief to her. Even with their low speed, the adrenalin would have been flying furiously through her veins. And with the squeal of tires, they took off at what Electra though to be full speed. They weaved on the bike almost effortlessly, and soon enough Electra became comfortable on the fast-paced ride. Looking up, she examined the wonderful city, the buildings, everything. Though darkened, it was truly magnificent. It was amazingly fun, and she wished it would never end. But it had to. They slowed and Electra took off her helmet, setting it under her arm and taking Jack's hand before lightly hopping off. She was smiling as well, but not as big. She really had fun. And with a pulling feeling, dispair clutched at her heart. There was about an hour left before dawn, and the powers that bound her to the Circus were growing ever stronger. They would have to leave soon, and come back the next night. She imagined the lie she would tell now to Corin, to gain an excuse to return. ' Ma'am, we searched throughout the city. But we did not come back with nothing. There were some interesting looking folks there. I think we should go back tomorrow to get a better look at them. That way we can tell you exactly how special these people are,' Electra thought it to be genius, and she had hoped it would work. But they would have to leave soon. Electra's smile faltered, and she knew it wouldn't go unnoticed.

Emily Kane-Living Doll Emily gripped Kendal as they flew along the streets. She was amazed at the beauty of the city, and the at the spped they were traveling. The ride was amazing, though after an hour only felt like a few minutes. Emily got off the back of the bike and pulled her hemet off, laying it down on the seat. "That was incredible," She said. Her body was still pumping from adrenalin. Though, everyththing stopped when she glanced at Electra. She could tell she didnt want to go either, but dawn was approaching, and it is better to come back willfully than to be forced. At Electra's faltering smile, Emily did the regretted, "Thanks for the ride, it was amazing, but Electra and I had better get back to where we are staying." Emily looked over at Electra, hoping she would help with the goodbyes.

The Reverend Maynard "Your care of your people is legendary, Miz Francesca, and of course I'd be willing to look into it," the Reverend said with a comfortably formal nodding of the head. A smile curves Franky's lips. He's fishing.. she thinks to herself with vague amusement. Tricky tricky. She has never really had need for the Reverend's services before, so she had a feeling that he would be curious as to why she was calling upon him now. Still, she was not ready to share that just yet. They were not even sure there was a real threat to be had. Sounding the alarms would be rather premature at this juncture.
"Darling, do not concern yourself overly much," Franky reassures him, taking another sip of her wine. "I have not yet decided if this matter will require enough attention to warrant the release of my 'spies'. Besides, you are far more adept in this knowledge than anyone I would send. If I am going to make a decision as to the revelance of this possible threat, I would prefer to have the most astute information available influencing my judgement on the matter."

Freya Now that the noise from downstairs wasn't as overwhelming, Freya allowed her senses of smell and sound to stretch out and look for anything that her eyes were missing. She thought to herself, There's got to be someone here who knows something about that damned circus.
It has been almost a year since Julia went missing. When Freya spoke to her foster parents, the only information they had to offer was that Julia had gone to some traveling show with a group of her friends. Nothing wrong with that, except that none of them had been seen after that. Freya tracked the circus to this planet, but was questioning whether or not Julia or any of her friends were alive. What she had heard of this show, though, led her to believe that they may have enslaved her because of her demonic lineage.
Freya cursed under her breath, she couldn't make out anything below normal speaking level because of the commotion downstairs. She glanced in the direction of the bar and licked her lips with the idea of having a few drinks tonight.

{ - Kendal - }
Kendal motions towards Jack's bike. "Just leave the helmets on the bars. I'll have someone come collect it in a bit." Taking Emily's back, she attaches it onto the seat behind her. "Yeah, I've got to be heading in myself. I usually go down when the sun comes up," Kendal replies with a smile. "Maybe we'll see you tomorrow night." Giving the girls a wink, Kendal starts up her bike again. "Laters all!" she calls with a salute before steering the bike back into the street and disappearing into the alley.

{ - Marie - }
Marie turns her attention from the tapestry back to the woman she was addressing before. "I'm terribly sorry," she tells her softly, "but I must depart for the evening. The Mistress will be leaving soon, and there are some things I must attend. However, if you return another evening, I would be more than happy to answer any other questions you may have concerning the exhibits."
Marie gives the woman a faint bow and a parting smile, then quietly ghosts away towards the seating couches. Coming up to the spot occupied by the Reverend and Francesca, Marie pauses just before she would reach a proximity of intrusion and waits for her Mistress to take notice.

animeyumichan She followed slowly, frowning at the rubble: it was a bit harder for her to get across it then it was for him, but no matter, she made it through, and looked around suspiciously. So far they weren't caught! She shifted the orb carefully to one hand, and nodded, knocking on the door just as he asked. She bent towards it and put her ear close while her hands rapped quietly...1...2...3. She paused, breath held tight, and...1...2. She stood up with a grin on her face and looked back towards him. There is the faintest sound of stirring from within the wagon, then Angie hears the click of the latch. The door opens just a crack, revealing only the flickering light of a candle from within.

Hearing the door click, I quickly move up the steps behind Angie. "Go on in, young one, and keep that orb close." I instruct her quietly. "We must get inside before we are seen or we will never lure the fairy out."

She glanced in the direction of the bar and licked her lips with the idea of having a few drinks tonight. SLADESeated at the upstairs bar, I take a healthy swallow of my lager. I had come here to the Muse straight after the amusing encounter with the strange young woman at the hotel. The memory brings a smirk to my lips. It had been a while since a stranger had thrown something at my head, and even then, it had never been a bone before. Looking around the second level, I found myself surprised at how laid back the atmosphere was up here. Some feat considering the sheer level of intensity maintained in the floor below. Suddenly I notice a familiar face at a table closer to the staircase. Well I'll be damned. I think to myself, even more amused. If it isn't the bone-tosses herself. I wonder what she'll throw at me this time if she notices me?

She looks in the direction of the stench and cuts her eyes at the smarmy man with the hat from the hotel. She gets up and storms downstairs, suddenly feeling a need to distance herself from him before she was charged with literal manslaughter. She hops off of the last step and slaps her hands over her ears again. She see's the dance floor to the left and heads in the opposite direction towards the bar. She's about to stop and order a drink when she notices a large archway behind the bar. Figuring it'll probably be more quiet in there, she hurries in. She enters the card room and spots the bar before anything else. She strolls up to it releasing her ears. She waves at the bartender, not bothering to pay attention to if he noticed her or not, and says, "Give me whatever's on tap!" She hops onto a stool and turns toward the room, surveying her area.

She waves at the bartender, not bothering to pay attention to if he noticed her or not, and says, "Give me whatever's on tap!" She hops onto a stool and turns toward the room, surveying her area. The card room appears to be almost a whole separate entity from the main club area. Having a significantly more laid back atmosphere, the large room is litered with informal tables where the non-technophiles have gathered to try their luck with the deck. A single bar counter graces one wall, a strong, no nonsense looking tender stationed behind it. He nods to Freya and moves to the tap to fill her up a pint.
Amidst the general rucus, a particularly large group seems to have accumulated near the left corner of the bar. It looks as if one of the round tables has been pushed up close to the serving counter. Unruly looking men are situated in chairs surrounding the table, cards in hand, coin in the ante. Most noticably though is the striking, firey red head sitting on the counter itself. Black boots with pointed metal tips tap impatiently on the table top beneath her, locks of vibrant crimson hair falling loosely against her dark lace up corset. She seems to be watching the proceedings with some interest.
