To be honest, Shiro couldn't say for certain that he knew what the fighter had meant - but he did have something of an idea.

"Well, he's one of the men that guards the ranch, right?" he asked. "So if he's not on guard right now, then perhaps he will be in the morning, and so if someone wants to see him they would have to wait until the afternoon to do so, doesn't that make sense?"

It did to him.

Lin mused on this, the logic was sound she would had to admit as they went down the stairs and down the hall towards the door.

"Though it sounds like he's expecting us," Lin replied, "And he tends to know a great deal, though I guess if Adan comes tomorrow I'll be going to see him...."

Though she wasn't overly sure, maybe Shiro was just right, it was just to say if someone was going to see him they could tomorrow afternoon.

"Yes," Amdir grinned, glancing at Aliya. "She's sweet. Kara said that she might stay here and watch the children, once she's been properly trained. Now that I've met her, I think it's a wonderful idea - though we will have to make sure she knows the difference between friend and foe."

"We got to ride on her, Ada!" Adwin exclaimed from where he was hanging around Feng's neck. "Just like she was a horse! And she was all bouncy and soft and it was fun!"

"You did now?" Feng grinned, "She's quite nice isn't she? Feng and Ryu use to ride her when we were smaller, only because we couldn't walk all the time."

She grinned, that had been fun times.

"That is good to know," Ryu replied, "She tends to be friendly around everyone, but she has been raised around all sorts of people."

Miyu thought about it, "Sometimes, but Lin spends time with him too, Aragost teaches her things that she trains for, I don't go with them on those days. I don't like to go up on mountains and stuff like that."

Amdir chuckled softly. "I can imagine, if Lin's original size was any indicator," he agreed. "And I imagine that your magic might not have manifested yet then, and that you would have been unable to walk on legs?"

"It is difficult," Lin admitted, "But we aren't alone so it's fine. If you both want to come along the next time Adan goes, you can. Aragost doesn't mind teaching..."

And really it was for their own good that they learn she thought as she exited the barracks.

There Donovan was waiting for them.

"Ready to head back in?" he asked the group of children.

"Well, kids are made for falling down," Amdir laughed. "Alyse would know all about that, she hada harder time learning to walk when she was younger. Right, Alyse?"

He cuddled with his daugher, who looked completely clueless. Of course, memories from that age were rare if nonexistent, so it was no surprise that she really didn't remember.

"Anyways," Aliya put in, "you should wash for dinner, Amdir. Shael will have it ready any time now."

Alyse giggled and slid off her father's lap. "Go wash, Ada," she told him, tugging on his hand to get him to stand up.

Donovan nodded, "Haradhel was getting ready to make it went I left so by the time we get back and wash up it'll be just about ready. So let's go."

He didn't need to usher them they knew where they were going so he set off in a slower pace than usual to make sure none of them get left behind.
