He wrapped his arms around her and just stood there for a moment. Doing anything else right now didnt seemw orth iot, so he sat enjoying her imbrace. It was getting late and he was sure he needed to sleep soon. "Maybe we should call it a night?"

There was a mental sigh of relief and a Thank you. I have a plan if you're ever interested. Deceptively simple and quite safe. he sent, then was quiet.

Jay was amazed how ignored he was the whole time he was standing there. He meant to speak up and say that the 'bluff' was not of what she said but the act she put on, but was rather more amused with eavesdropping. It was there fault for ignoring him. "I think I've got some big news for you. Step outside here for a minute, if you don't mind, and shut the door behind you."

"Hmm...thought you would've remembered me. It's Jay." He looked down. "Oh, yes, the street clothes. Well, I'm not on duty. Last time we might've saw each other, I think I was saving yours and Izaak's butts from the doc's twisted scheme. Then I supposedly died by being locked in with his 'pet' and was eaten and exploded...well, that was a dummy. I'm also a dummy, but not in the same sense: I'm real." He joked just a little. "Thought you should know...Izaak might still be alive. As it stands, I'm sure of it, but I very rarely am wrong. Hardly ever, but it happens."

"He's alive?!" she gasped, grasping his collar in desperation. "Where is he? Where's my Izaak?!" her eyes were filled with hope.

Jay nodded his head down. "I am not exactly sure. He's probably somwhere in the general area of the Roost." He was just a bit disappointed that she seemingly didn't remember him. Was it him, or was she having memory problems? Granted, he knew he was a pretty forgettable face sometimes. It was known to happen.

She sighed in relief, almost falling to her knees. "Th-thank goodness." she managed softly. "I..." she looked over at Jay. "Thank you." she said with sincerity. "If you weant anything from me, anything at all..."

She shoopk her head. "If he's alive, then I'm certain of where he ended up." she said. A nearby manhole cover slid aside, and King popped out.
