Kolo heard his name coming from his cousin up on stage. His heart leaped for joy, 'Well, atleast he still likes to see me...' Kolo thought to himself as he walked over towards Shin. The two Nara's would be as close to inseperable as they could between training and classes as he could manage. He still wanted to spend time with Akemi, and he was sure that Shin also had some friends of his own. He smiled as he arrived at the stage. "Congratualtions,"He said looking up at the new Genin. He said it just loud enough over everyone else that Shin could hear it. His eyes put a lie to his smile, for they still showed a hint of sadness, his thought s continually straying back to Akemi, and when she said, "Once we are done here... I'm going to pretend like none of this ever happened" That hurt him down to his very core. He thought that they were going to have an unforgettable time this day, but she just wants to forget. Kolo was never going to foget.

As Kolo walked over to Shin, the boy put a single arm around him and gave him a hug. "Nice to see you cous! How was your first day, eh?" Shin asked with his crooked grin, still estatic from recieving the head band and now even happier to see his cousin. "Heh, Thanks!" Shin said as he tapped the silver plate on his forehead. "I didn't think I'd ever get this," Shin said as his grin got bigger. Ruffing up Kolo's hair a bit, Shin felt like something was bugging his younger cousin. "Hey! That didn't sound very sincere," the teen said. "Say, you wanna head back to the apartment and get some food? I have a really neat idea I wanna share with you!" the Nara said, excited to have his cousin around. He had thought of something pretty neat while living here in Shimagakure, but he hadn't gotten a chance to share it with anyone. He wasn't sure who would take his ideas seriously and who would laugh them off. Pretty much everyone he knew would laugh them off! Maybe not Hanabira though...

Kolo just realized how tired he was, he still hadn't been checked out after his fight, but it had been so long, anything that a medic could do was probably a day late and a dollar short. He thought though that food might be good. "Sure, let's get some food. Oh, and you asked about the first day of school. Well... I met a girl named Serena..." Kolo described everything that happened at school, including the fight with Seiko, and how he trained the Raiken girl, Akemi. He happened to leave out however, that he has a crush on her, and she may or may not be crazy. He was still happy to see his cousin, and his crazy ideas would be quite humurous to hear.

Karite had walked to the village center with his head down to the ground. Something about this situation was beginning to get to him. Orika had been different since her mothers passing. She had become much more reserved and she had even become much more aggressive giving him a run for his money in spars. He had to relied on is training from Maya to fight her. Did she blame him for her mother's death? He had promised her he would never let harm come to her. A promise he knew he could not keep, but he had tried for so long. He could not protect her more than he could protect Kore or Ruha. He was beginning to feel as if his dreams of being the hero were all for not. Maybe he would only live long enough to be the villain or the side kick. Looking around the ceremony he did not see any sign of his girlfriend, where could that girl have gone?
Kore had soon lost scent of the ash, here there many things burning and to many people to lock onto any particular scent that was so vague. He would need to trust in the girl and Karite's knowledge of her if they were going to find her. His nose was to sensitive to be used at its full potential here in the open with all these people. Kore began to back away from the center. His head was becoming fuzzy and the sweet arumos were causing his eyes to water. Wobbly stepping back and shaking his mane out the lion collapsed and covered his nose with his paws as he growled. These humans and their perfumes and scented objects. Nature was not sweet enough for them.

Tanu's cheeks turned a slight hue of crimson as Kiba said that he 'wanted' her to come. Turning her head to the side and folding her arms in front of her chest. "We are squad members and I guess I have nothing better to do!" she said in a huff. She waited for Kiba to turn and start walking before she began following. "Raiken-baka," Tanu mumbled to herself even though she was really glad that Kiba had asked her to come along. It was hard getting through the crowd as the villagers celebrated. A few pats on the back made Tanu feel a little better as the people of Shimagakure congratulated her on her way out. They were all drinking and she knew it would probably get rowdy in the village tonight. She was glad that she was going to the Raiken Mansion where it wouldn't be so loud and obnoxious. "What's so special about these staffs anways?" Tanu asked as she walked with Kiba to the oversize building just recently put up in Shimagakure. Tanu wasn't actually sure how to get to the place, but she had seen it peaking over trees.

Hanabira followed her squad mate into the village only to see something she did not have yet. Kiba, Shin and Tanu were all leaving their ceremony with the shining head bands. The freckled face girl smiled sweetly thinking that the head bands suited the three rather well. Hanabira thought of how the three of them would look with head bands on, but they were missing one... Karite was trying to think where Orika could have gone and Hanabira was trying to help him give reason as to why she hadn't come. "Karite-kun," Hanabira said, placing a hand on his shoulder as she pointed to the clinic. Through one of the windows, Hanabira could see through her glasses a bushy haired figure sleeping. The shy girl wasn't sure, but she thought that was the hospital room that Orika's mother had died in. If Orika was indeed scared of becoming a shinobi only to fail to protect those she cared of, Hanabira could completely understand what Orika was going through since she had experienced the same thing when losing Hide...

Hana-chan had pointed out that the fuzz ball in the clinic was Orika. It made sense, not many people sported the same hair style. Putting his hands in his pockets the boy began to contemplate what he would say to his girlfriend, what he would ask her. It was beginning to get much more complicated then he ever thought it would this early on in his life. Clicking his jaw the boy hung his head and called for his brother. Kore would never leave his side, no matter what happened Kore would always be with him. Was he looking for that in Orika? Was he trying to put his expectations of Kore on to humans? Every thought made his mind turn into mush and the more he thought the more tired he felt. He decided he would do what Karite did best...go with the flow. Over thinking things wasn't his style at all.
Kore could not pick up any scent in all the commotion of the ceremony, but one thing he enjoyed about having human partners is sometimes he didnt need to. Looking at Hana-chan he noticed she had found the girl for them. Brushing his head against her hand to let her know he was grateful he snapped forward slightly when Karite clicked his jaw. Following the boy the large lion wraped his tail around Hana-chans leg and let it slide gently around it as he walked away.

[Ahem, tangent post from Student Dorms... ]
Amane wandered throughout the village, it was night time. Though wandered implies the wrong thing, she was more dashing frantically in the night shade of the village. She ran through alleys, and through the streets, swearing frantically for an eleven year old girl. It had seemed a ceremony was just wrapping up, but she didn't care... Her goal was set in her mind... However after running for what seemed like an hour or so, she fell onto her knees huffing for breath... She was obviously frustrated, something was wrong... But what? Then suddenly as if answering a question from a divine being she looked up at the sky, yelling incredibly loudly.
WHERE IS THE ACADEMY!? She pulled her hair back in an annoyed manner, standing back up, obviously angry at her own terrible sense of direction. Not out of anger towards the man, but more out of frustration to her self she began to run again muttering in a mocking fashion under her breath 'Oh check out the academy!' But of course don't tell me where it is! She muttered angrily as she passed the Shinobi Academy for the third time on this run. She ran throughout the village, not knowing it would be another ten minutes before she finally realized she had passed it multiple times before...

Maybe because Kanami had asked him to. Maybe because the youth was slightly curious as to who had graduated. It could be just because the village was in his course of running. Perhaps it was a combination of the three or perhaps it had to do nothing with those reasons at all. Whatever the motive Shisei slowed down as he entered into the village. His face was sweating now from the run and his chest was giving the rhythmic pulse of lungs hard at work. For now he found the crowd in the village as an excuse to slow down and catch his breath. All the while he looked around at the festivities. The same six foot hippie that came across Kanami in the graveyard was beginning to leave to where his skeleton lurked from. There was a stage, but nothing remained on it. Probably where the new graduates were bestowed their honor. “Honor…” the serpent child contemplated. What honor was there in promoting weaklings? Just bait for the sharks of the world. Well it was the village’s decision. The kage and probably the useless woman’s judgments. So if catastrophe came again to the village it would be their fault. Shisei looked about at the dissipating crowd slightly wondering if the glorified losers were still around.

People continued to walk around the snake child, none paying him any notice. All were concerned about the festivities which was ok with Shisei. For once he blended in with the crowd because they paid him no mind. In actuality he was the boy who stood out regardless of where he was. It was a fact that the Orochi accepted and now was beginning to be happy about. The gold eyes stared around from the town center gazing at some of the buildings to see if anything great has changed. A flower shop was the closest place. Shisei could not remember if he had been there or not, but it seemed like a place where many of the children would. It would be a place that the serpent youth would need to stay away from. There was also the playground. Little snake could not remember much of the happenings on the playground. A few kids were always around there. Perhaps they still were. Especially that boy with the funny talking accent? If he survived throughout the years. There were others part of his group too. Twins, a bunny girl the boy thought and some other tough guy. Perhaps they were erased from history. Well like everything else in the world: Survival of the fittest. The strong live and the weak die. The child serpent continued to look around the center as the rhythmic beat of his chest began to steady.

“So did you see them up there?”
”It was like a little Meho, but with…
“And the goose stated…”
People continued idle chatter in different places. Many strolling down into what Shisei would perceive as the bar. The none of the graduates would be there, but his brain could imagine that in a couple of years it would be a big hangout spot for most of them. Perhaps one day even the snake child would go there for leisure, although he could not picture himself participating with a group. A quiet time there would be much better than a bunch of raving fools. Another building that was of interest was the Kage’s building. Still nothing but a dignified shack. It was tragically fitting for the leaders who took on the job of directing the island. Although that was thinking directed to the leader that was turned to stone two years previous. The person leading now, the red hair, did not appear to be weak. Although one thing the snake student learned was that many on this island were hypocrites, deceiving or a combination of both. Most of his peers were ants trying to roar like lions. The only other place of interest was the clinic. A place that Shisei had the unfortunate time of knowing, because of the ants that want to bark like wolves. It also seemed that there was something going on inside. Amber eyes would not enter the building where the nurses took residence. Whichever students lie within were insignificant. Besides there was another place of greater importance that the snake child needed to go to. To return to where the lies of Shimagakure became apparent. With his respiration back at a normal level the boy was feeling ready to continue his jog. He used one clothed hand to wipe the sweat away and began his run again.

The Nara dressed in a light jacket and his usual brown attire, came wandering into the village center whistling a cheery tune while tossing a kunai around his body rather acrobatically. The dusty haired boy had been practicing his melee attacks, but he had gotten just a little off task and turned it into a juggling act. The smells of breakfast were strong in the air as the shops began to open up for the early risers. Shin had never been up this early before, so these smells were a new thing to him. "Fresh donuts," the chocolate eyed boy said as if he were heaven. The donuts he had ever gotten were slightly hard from sitting out all morning since he usually picked them up at noon. "Ohaiyo," Shin greeted a shop owner with the hand free from the kunai. "Can I get two bags of donuts, please?" the Nara asked the shop owner, getting one bag for himself and another for his cousin. The shop owner gave him a nod and said it would be a few minutes. "Thank you," Shin said with a nod of his head as he turned his back to the shop owner as he began deep frying the first batch of donuts for the day. Leaning up against the wood of the building, Shin tossed his kunai up and down carelessly as he thought about Kane's return. Maybe they should get Kane something as a congratulatory present?

Being a little careless with his kunai, Shin tossed the wrong end to his other hand and felt a sharp sting on his skin. "Ouch," Shin said as he quickly retracted his hand and dropped the kunai to the ground. He clasped his hand tightly with his other to numb the pain. "Tsssss!" Shin hissed as he tried to suck up the pain and not yell out in pain. Slowly, he let go of his hand and realized that it was hardly even bleeding! The cut on his hand just looked like a long papercut. Smiling weakly at himself, Shin bent down to pick up his kunai. Brushing the black metal against his tan pants, the genin made sure the weapon was clean from any dirt before putting it back in its holster. Just as he did this, the shop owner announced that his donuts were done. "Arigatou!" Shin said with a rather large grin as he accepted the two bags and went on his merry way. He was sure that these donuts would help Kolo get out of bed this morning. If his cousin was anything like him, food was almost the only motivator to get out of bed. That or a yelling woman... Shin thought of Tanu as that motivator crossed his mind. Maybe today he could go pounding on her door to wake her up! That would definitely be a change of pace. It would be nice to get a bit of training in this early and Tanu was just one of the people Shin knew could help him with his attacking skills.

Senritsu walked into the main part of the village, her strange walk still going on. Childish, as it was supposed to look, and merely something to keep herself entertained while continued to walk. Her eyes caught onto a small stand that sold water, milk, orange juice, apple juice and tea in bottles. Walking over, she looked around and eyed the water for a minute. The stand keeper asked her if she wanted anything, but she waved her hand in response to tell him no. “I’m just looking, but thank you.” His response to hearing that she wasn’t going to be buying anything was rather rude though. His happy smile turned into a very mean snarl as he told her to beat it if she wasn’t going to be a paying customer. He than turned and began to talk to the pretty girl he was entertaining himself with before. When he turned, Senritsu let her hand find the water she was looking at and walk off like she had done nothing. While she opened the bottle and began to drink the water, she took the paper out of her pocket and read it through. “Blah, blah, blah focus energy in the area…concentrate Chakra.. Legs move at a faster speed. Oh, so I won’t have to do anything physically. This is all mental, with a bit of Chakra need. Not so bad.” Senritsu formed a hand seal and focused her energy to her legs, feeling them begin to tingle. Smiling, she knew she got the first try right.

As Shin walked with Kiba to the village, he continued to toss the kunai from hand to hand, getting a feel for the weight of the weapon. "The only things I really know about Kane-sensei is that he likes to cook, garden and his older brother died a few years ago on a mission," Shin explained to Kiba as he approached a stand that sold all sorts of trinkets and charms. Scratching his nose as he looked over all the different types of charms, Shin couldn't think of anything specific. There were charms with kanjis on them, charms with special herbs and then silver charms that had been crafted carefully. "This one is meant for good health," Shin said as he picked up a bag, but he never really recalled Kane every being sick... "Ah... This one is a cake!" Shin said, putting back down the small bag and picking up a silver trinket that sat on the tip of his pinky. It looked like a cake and with a little tag on it, Shin read what the charm meant. "You will have a sweet life. Haha! That ones pretty good," Shin said with a fun laugh as his chocolate eyes continued to look around. "Love will blossom soon," Shin mumbled to himself as he read the tag to the flower charm and then continued to scan around.
