I actually do not care what my avatar looks like. I just go to the marketplace and go "ooh, that's cool!" and "ooh, that's pretty!" and go back after I've bought a load of stuff and cram it all onto where it isn't covered up already. Well, at least I used to do that. I've learnt to tone it down a bit now xD. My avatars when I started Gaia were hectic sweatdrop .

OMG!!!! gonk Poor you.
Hmm... I remember i copied and pasted a code for a box of multi-coloured writing on my profile, and I accidently cut a bit out and closed the page i was copying it from before i realised, so i had to type the rest of it myself!!
It was like:
-load of random code to start with like the one that you posted above-
[[code surprised range:3274927]]H[[//code surprised range:3274927//]][[code:red:027927]]E[[//code:red:029927//]]
[[code:blue:359981]]L[[//code:blue:359981//]]
(^^ randomly made up along the lines of what i remember from a year ago...)
Something like that, anyway.
And it carried on down in two columns for the entire of my "Hello! Welcome to my profile!" or whatever it was that i typed!!!
