This is a comission for Jinxeh, who is writing a book where the main characters are these twins. Aged somewhere beteen childhood and teenage on this painting.
It all takes place in the desert so that's why she's holding a fennec fox.

He's suppost to hold a dagger but I have'nt started on that. sweatdrop I hate hands...

You all know where I got tons of inspirations. xd Sorry but she wanted it that way. I actually gor $20 for this piece, my first RL comission at gaia.

Ear is just ref picture. rofl and the brigh color of him is just to make it easier to see what I'm doing.

Line-arts is lovely too but I founds some thing to point out here as well.



Her left eye our right is a bit too high and far away from the other eye.
Then her knee is a bit pointy.
I marked the face too made it wider at her right and cut the chin a little. Of course this is just my oppinion I'm don't judging. :3

For me, eyes and face is cake and the rest gets me crying. Strange how different it could be. My art teacher actually told me that about the mouth and nose going in different direction in half profile.

To improve headshape you should try look at yourself in the mirror, that usually help for me even if I'm drawing anime style. I know I improved after making a realistic (size as well) model of my own head in mud/clay and I had to really look in the mirror for ups and downs in my face. It made me aware of how a head really look.

I think you should work the face just a little more. Your drawing skills is great, I really like your style and coloring. But the face steals the attention when it's looks a little strange. Sorry to put it that way I feel unsensitive but I'm just being honest. sweatdrop It's far from ugly or bad it's just that the rest is stunning and you wish the face matched it. ^^ I hope you understand. heart

I think that's a great idea ^^ Cutie like that deserves a little color.
I'm glad you liked my help. I could use some myself. Sometimes you can see your own misstakes but it's much easier to spot others. When you're working on something you get so blind. biggrin For me it works putting something away for a month and then look at it whith new eyes. I think I've re-done every damn picture I've ever drawn.. xd Including comissions. Hey you, I made your picture better! biggrin -Um...thanks...? :/
