ok see ya tomorrow. on the bus ride home Kayla read. she had finished Inkheart and was reading the sequel Inkworld. as the bus turned on to her street and she saw the U.P.S truck she got excited knowing it was her present. she didn't tell Mr. Revel but her birthday wasn't until tomorrow but she had wanted the gift, her mom wouldn't mind. when she got home she was even more excited because Preston wasnt home yet and her mom was. Kayla grabbed the package (it was kinda big) and ran inside. MOM ITS HERE!! okay hon, calm down and open it. Kayla ripped off the tape and pried open the box. out of it she pulled a trombone case, she opened it and to her surprise it wasn't the average gold you see on every trombone or even silver like Johns but it was a light blue. her favorite color! kayla was excited but she and her mother cried when they saw the engraving on the bell. to my little angel, make this your harp and play the beautiful music i know you can. love dad that is when Preston walked in. seeing what was going on he just slammed the door and went upstairs and his rap music was so loud Kayla could hear it from downstairs. he always did that when he was angry and/ or sad.

John walked out of the school and put his beany w/visor on and sunglasses and turned his music on his PSP on and just walked thinking the day over"well good start i guess...just gotta remeber about that jock" after he got home he practiced his music to relax like he loved to do

The golden tomcat saw the package come. It was curious as to what was inside. Watching from the bushes was useful, but it would be better if he could keep an eye on what was going on inside too. He decided to make his presence known. He walked up to the front door and started mewling.

Preston was part pissed part upset,, he would never admit it but that reminder of his father made him tear up. he was still pissed at the whole band thing but with what happened downstairs the reminder of the greif and pain he wanted to just go downstairs and hug his little sister and forget the last year of torment.
(got to go my sister needs the computer)

when they heard the cat at the door they opened it and let the cat in. it was really good timing cuz Kaylas dad had always loved animals and would take in any strays. they gave it some milk and made a little bed for it out of blankets.
(ok now i really got to go b4 my sis gets pissed)

A new had shown up. He was a drummer but very quiet when it came to meeting new people. He didn't think much of himself as a drummer though he had been playing for a considerable amoun of years and just started a new school and registered for band as a class "I hope I make a good first impression" He was up slowly to the new band room

John was bored so he went back to the band hall for some random practicing....he hoped he would be safe..after all how many jocks stay after school in a band hall? none thats how many..so when he got there he sat down in an empty chair...others were still here wither to prctice or not he didnt care

Remus, the tom cat, commonly knows as Goldy, was satisfied he wondered what this family would call him. He was pleased that they had taken him in so willingly, it would make his job easier. He finished the milk and began to explore his new surroundings. He inspected Kayla's new trombone carefully, making it seem that he was just a curious cat who had never seen one before. Making sure not to touch it, he read the inscription. He would have to wait till everyone was gone tomorrow to make his report.

As shy as the new kid was he didn't bother entering the room he just sat near the front door playing on his new practice pad and he thinks to himself "Great first impression"
