I prefer the honest compliments and not the "suck up" compliments if you know what I mean.
I sure loved how my college band director was impressed in the fact that I switched from trumpet to bassoon. XD
18. Weirdest instrument you've ever seen?
Never really see anything weird at my schools, but I have read up on some interesting instruments... like sarussophones. (I don't have any idea how to spell it, so forgive me.

Yes. I didn't use to, but that's because I use to suck. XD

I'm not really fond of flutes or French horns.

The time changes every semester as I get new schedules. lol

I'm more of a bassoon geek, although being that really helped me enjoy band this last year more than I ever have.

For reeds I use Jones' reeds, which are not the best, and apparently they went out of business or something. o_o

The flute is Wolstoncraft, but the others don't have a name. Other than 'my baby' of course.
3.What chair?
5th flute (XP I should be higher), 1st piccolo, 3rd trumpet (only because there's only three!)
4. What classification does your BD rank under?
Strict, hard, but a great teacher. Hard person to just get along with though. And he's retiring!! crying
5.How many in your section?
5 flutes in band class, 3 piccolos, and 3 trumpets in jazz band.
6. What brand Instrument?
Armstrong flute, Gemienhardt piccolo, Yamaha trumpet.
7. Hardest song ever played?
Probably Jupiter from the Planets... or Marzoni... stuff we played once and then had it sit in the back of our folders, so I barely practiced it.

High school. Just finishing up my junior year, time for a SENIOR, w00t!

Well, the trumpet case looks like hell... it's so much bigger than the flute I run it into everything! But as a whole my instruments themselves are in pretty good condition.

No clue. I assume I look okay.

When my BD told me sophomore year I was the best piccolo in the school, and immediately upon joining the top band named me principle piccolo. biggrin

In person or online pictures?
I saw a bass flute at a James Galway concert once, my friend and I were almost drooling over it, we wanted one so bad. The contrabass clarinet was plenty weird too.

All the time, whether I'm playing or not. If there's music anywhere, in my head or real, my foot is tapping.
20.Least liked section?
Percussion. I like 3 of them, but several of the others either scare me or disgust me.

Yep, on all instruments.

Both. I'm crazy enthusiastic about band, and I get straight As in advanced classes. All-around geek!

Not long. Trumpet is the easier, take mouthpiece and shove in blowpipe, and you're done. Although valve oil would probably help.

I practice a few times a week, I should practice more, but most of the flute/piccolo music isn't a problem. I have trouble convincing myself to practice trumpet though, because I suck at it. It just depresses me.

Nope. I joined marching band sophomore year, so missed the freshmen hazing. biggrin

Just plop in the mouthpiece. BUT warming up takes about 10-30 minutes for me.

I practice everyday. If my schedule is tough, I TRY to find time.

finger flute ( our top flute girl got her flute stuck on her finger one day and it took all of band to get it off hahahaha)

I think there is about 6 or 7. They are all because my trumpet dropped off my chair because an idiot sax player fell down when he was goofing off and hit the chair and trumpet fell to the ground. crying I will never leave it alone again

i think its a Pearl drum with Pearl heads and Zildjian Cymbals.

There is a spot where the paint got scratched off of the bass when we were loading stuff up after comp, nothing on my cymbals tho. no one else is allowed to touch them.

I look awesome when i play my instrument.

"You are insanly amazing!" I had learned the entire field show in a week on 3rd bass because the old guy got booted from the line.

VIC FERTH!!!!!!! thats just the snares and tenners tho, i dont know what brand our mallets are cuz we had to tape um up to save our hands and rims. (they vibrate so much when you hit the rims it makes your hands go numb and its hard to hold the mallets)

Marching Band Uniform: black shoes, black socks, black pants with a white stripe down the side. The coat is red on the bottom and there is a silver sparklie sash. The top is white and has KHS on it. Part of the sleeves are either red or white.

I have a scratch on barrel since the day I got my clarinet and I destroyed my mouth piece my 8th grade year by "accidentally" dropping it on the gym floor...

Not when marching. When I saw a picture of me marching in our yearbook, my friends wouldn't stop laughing at me. My eyes were closed and it looked like I was in the moment a little too much
