She had to agree with that, especially if more people were going to come here, then he was going to have to get over it, "Well... I can ask Ulani when I take a trip back," she murmured, "I have some other things that need translating, otherwise people might not use them right."

Donovan nodded, "Might as well, Feng probably didn't do her excerises this morning, and while it's good for both twins to do so. For Feng if she doesn't do anything active for a while, she gets a bit.... bouncy."
That was putting it nicely, he had no wish to have a mer bounce off the walls because she couldn't control her energy level.

Triton chuckled at that, "I'm sure she'll be fine, her mind is kept occupied at least."
And someone probably had warned Feng about how skittish the horses would tend to get, so she would at least try. Though he was sure once lessons was cut for lunch it was going to be difficult to get her to sit on the seat.

"Donovan said your brother and sister would be heading back there tonight to sleep," Haradhel pointed out, "and Aliya will be going back ... why not have one of them mention it? They'll be here for lunch soon, I'm sure they wouldn't mind asking for you. Aliya would probably try to convince Adonai, too, she always thought he was crazy for not wanting to come out here."
Elrohir nodded. "Then it's back to the stable we go," he grinned, and turned and headed in that direction.

Aliya was just finishing her lesson on the horse's anatomy and was in the process of returning the horses to the paddock so that they could graze for the rest of the day.
"You know," she commented thoughtfully to Feng and Ryu, turning to face them again, "I never thought to ask what kind of riding you two will be learning."

"Hmm... true," Cindy mused, "They'll be heading to the river afterwards," she mused, "So I guess I could leave a message with them. Though better to have Ryu request it, Feng will beg and I worry Aliya might be a bit pushy in getting her brother here."
Feng who was still digesting the information from where she migrated into a titering laying position on the fence blinked. She had ended up in this hazarded position in attempts to keep from being bouncy lest her brother might try pining her down somehow.
"I don't know," she admitted. "You might have to ask Donovan."

"Aliya and Adonai are as different as they possibly can be," Haradhel murmured, checking on the food again, "but she would never do anything to deliberately upset him."
She paused thoughtfully, staring into the pot of potatoes. "No matter how calm or polite or non-threatening Ryu would be, Adonai would be terrified of him, I'm sure, and decline the request simply on that basis. Ulrich should be here for lunch before he heads back home for the day, perhaps you could get him to suggest it to Adonai."

Aliya nodded. "Good idea," she agreed, closing the gate again. She hopped over the fence and stretched a bit. "Anyways, I'm hungry. Let's go for lunch."
Then, as if suddenly realizing something, she turned back to face the twins and asked, "Why do you call your father by his name?"

Feng giggled as she turned her body over the outside of the fence, twisting it so she would land on her feet. Standing up she scratched the back of her head thoughtfully, "Well.... it's a bit odd for the two of us to call him Dad, or Father. I think Cindy does only for appearances, but she doesn't have any issues in calling him Donovan."
Ryu shrugged at Feng's comment, "To be fair, Cindy is the oldest," he turned to Aliya as he got out of the pen, "Donovan arrived as an assistant to our mother when we were children, you have to understand we are the seventh and eighth children of our mother, out of twelve. We simply had grown up for most of our lives without a father and only a mother. So it's an odd idea for us to have a father."
"I'll do that then," Cindy replied, "I don't want to scare him, and have Ryu feel bad."

Soon the food was ready, and Haradhel finished up the preparations for it, mashing the potatoes and the naekeurtsl together in the pot and adding a bit more butter, then taking the roast out of the oven and transferring it over to a large serving platter.
"Would you mind setting one of the tables?" she asked Cindy, taking some dishes from the cupboard and setting them on the counter. "Just one of the tables will be more than enough. There's ... ten of us, right? Me, Elrohir, Ulrich, Aliya, you, your father, Lin, Triton, and the twins?"

"Ah," Aliya nodded. "I see. So he's not your real father, then."
She giggled a bit. "Of course he isn't ... I almost forgot, you're not human." She laughed. "How silly of me!"

Cindy counted in her head slowly, "Yes, ten people I do think," she murmured going off for dishes.
Though she kind of had to go through the cupboards a bit until she found what she was looking for. Once she did, she took the plates and set them down at one of the tables.
Feng laughed at that, "Well we have spent a lot of time on our legs haven't we? There hasn't been a natural born baby yet. We're still waiting."
Though she supposed they would have to get married first, she mused on that thought.
Ryu chuckled at that as he began to walk towards the Ranch house they passed, "Well I guess that's reasonable, we do have the same colourings as him as humans and from the waist up."

Haradhel finished preparing the food, then headed down into the cellar for a loaf of bread and a fresh brick of butter. WIth them in hand, she returned to the kitchen and set them on the counter.
"Everything ready, then?" she asked Cindy as she started to cut the loaf into thick slices.

Aliya giggled again. "Aye, that's very true," she agreed. "You do look a lot like your father, both of you. My Ada always says I have the best of both of my parents ... I look like him but I act like Mum. Adonai looks like Mum, but ... where he got his shyness from, I have no idea." She shook her head slowly and started leading the way back to the ranch house.
As she rounded the corner of the stables, she spotted Elrohir, Donovan and Triton, and waved.

Cindy looked up from where she was setting the forks and knifes with a nod, "I think that's just about everything."
Though she wasn't sure if they would need anything else.
Ryu chuckled at that, he had noticed how shy her brother was. Though he assumed it was just from the result of having some very strange people drop in on his family, "Well.. you've probably never met our mother, but if you get a good look at Lin, our little sister, we can tell you she looks an awful lot like Donovan and mother, even though she's adopted too." "And she acts a lot like him too, it's kind of creepy in a cute way," Feng grinned.
