"And what I went through is just like a walk in the park for you? You have no idea either Max..." She said as she bit her lip, thinking of all the pain and suffering went through. "But there is a way you can blend in..." She said as she opened up her bag and took out a magic charm. She looked him over and then handed it to him. "This can help you become human...but only for a few days..." She said as she smiled gently, still a bit hesitant of him.

Lolina walked out of the water and to Max and Jackie. Something had popped into her head. "Hey, if that charm can turn you human for a few days then, can't you be turned back?" Lolina asked, wanting to know if she could get the forever staying wings off of her back.

he started to press it then and there, but stopped. "i think i better save it until i need it"

Lolina then thought about it for a second and then asked, "Why are you able to make somethng like that? Do you know a scientist? Or are you just really smart?" Lolina then awaited a reply.

"im waiting so i can get the full effect." he stated, then "life expectancy? i dont really like the sound of that."

"Can you make charms for other things, too? To suppress other.... Unfortunate side-effects of our genetic tampering? Well, what I mean is, my hands heat to nearly three thousand degrees fairenheit when I use my powers, and unless I concenrate really hard, they never go under two hundred fairenheit. I'd like to be able to touch people without having to concentrate so hard my brain hurts." Strobe wasn't begging, just asking and giving the reason why. He would never be desperate enough to beg. Or, at least, that's what he told himself.

Crow listened to the conversation below, as Max revealed a wound he was reminded of his own. Removing his jacket partway he unwrapped the hole where he'd been shot, and was shocked at what he saw. The wound was gone, completly, not even scar tissue was left, the sand that the doctor had pushed into it had all been forced to the surface as well. He checked further along his torso, it was gone. He checked his leg, and surely enough that was gone as well. There was also the fact that he noticed his skin had become incredibly tough in those areas, almost like a soft sort of steel. Pulling his jacket back up Crow leapt down from his perch next to the others, he looked at Jackie for an instant, wondering if she had anything that might allow him to speak, but quickly realized that it was something only limited by his own mind, he would learn someday. Meanwhile they were suggesting that they split up, Crow wondered what he would do, he looked human, but his abnormalities would not allow him to fit into society.

Crow nodded to Lolina with a solemn expression, he was grateful, however did not know how to express it. In any case, he would protect her and the other experiments to the best of his abilities, that would be his contribution to their new sort of community. From the way things looked it seemed most of them would hide throughout different areas of the city, but he knew that they'd find a way to keep in contact.
