Shiloh's gun didn't move either. Maybe she should have drawn her sword, that would have been more threatening. Glaring at the man, she wondered why he was there in the first place. Thankfully though he left - with a parting gift. Shiloh blinked as the first was shot. She gasped feeling the silver hit and luckily passed through her left shoulder. She was ready for the second and ducked behind a near trash can. She sat down, blood oozing all over the place. Shiloh gasped feeling the burning of the silver. Great, now what!?

"D-Dammit...." she growled softly. She didn't know anywhere to hide and she was hiding behind a trash can for god's sake. This was fabulous. Rolling her eyes, Shiloh and put away her gun. She covered her wound with her right and and just stayed there. This sucked - big time.

The gun shots echoed their way down the crowded city street, and panicked people moved out of the way. Kalan was pressed up against a wall as people shoved their way passed. "Ack!" Someone had pinned her there, the cold brick to her back. A mother shushed her child as a man strode towards them. Kalan, even with her senses blocked could still smell the blood on him. Her nose was still stronger than normal even at its lowest. She winced. The smell was sweet, which meant he had fed just recently. It was disgusting to have to put up with. She hated blood and covered her nose.

Kala glanced down. As he approached, her knee slowly healed, steam seeping it's way through the bandage. Her copying power had activated on it's own, meaning that he certainly wasn't new, and was most likely fairly strong. She hid behind the person in front of her as he passed, trying to remain undetected. A fight right now wouldn't be a good idea. She didn't like crowded areas. His silvery eyes passed on over her veil, hopefully not seeing her strange eyes as she hid them.

As soon as the vampire had past her Kalan darted down the street in search of what he had shot. A kind of sick hope set in that it might have been her brother or Tavar. At least then she would find them. After all her twin had the same powers as herself. He would heal.

She turned the alleyway following the scent of blood but stopped short when she reached the entrance. It was dark. And only a few noises escaped it's depths. "Aiden?" The girl called. Her crystal eyes scanned the alley until they fell upon a leg. Someone was hiding behind a trashcan. The smell of dogs was all over the path and blood seeped along the ground. "Oh crap.. Are you okay?" She asked inching between the buildings as far from the person as possible.

Shiloh sighed heavily and leaned against the trash can. She felt her powers take over and soon the bullet wound was gone. Only blood remained. Groaning, Shiloh pushed herself up. That's when she noticed a woman standing there backing away from her.

"I guess.... that was kinda rude of him... I'm new in town and this is the welcome party I get?" Shiloh said sarcastically. she rolled her left shoulder, it was stiff from healing over.

Kalan watched as the girl stood. She looked around. She was alone, and looked to be about her own age. Her black hair fell to one side as she spoke. Blood dripped from her shirt as Kalan watched. "Oh. So sorry." She could feel the cold metal of her knives against her skin, and the GI's at her back.

The scent of the girl struck a chord with her. She was a wolf. Kalan hadn't had any bad experiences with the wolves here yet, but she could still remember the terror they had caused back home. For years they ran rampant destroying everything. Her brother had been taken by a wolf once. Kalan's feet slid apart and unconsciously she took a defensive stance.

"Well I'm afraid I'm not much better of a welcome party. Everyone in this town is so cold towards newcomers. You can find the exceptional few here and again but most everywhere its the same. At least you wont have any trouble finding your kind. They run all over this place. I on the other hand have had quite the bit of trouble meeting up with some normal knowledgeable folks." Kalan's pale blond hair slipped over her shoulder as she held her position.

Shiloh raised an eyebrow listening to her. Well, at least she wasn't going to kill her that was a plus. looking at her ruined jacket, Shiloh shrugged it off and folded it over her arm like she would a pool towel. Shiloh couldn't do much about her blood covered white shirt. She smiled softly at the girl closely. the smell of drying blood was now sickening. Shiloh rolled her eyes and turned sideways looking to the street.

"Thanks for the update. You know any place to start?" Shiloh asked wondering what type of girl she way. But it would be rude to ask flat out. She kept quiet. Apparently she was wearing a sign. Everyone knew she was a wolf. which was unnerving as hell. Shiloh brushed her hair from her face and sighed heavily. What a way to enter a town. Getting shot and everything. She kind of wanted to go chase that vampire.

"Listen - not to sound rude - but did you see that man? The one wondering around with the brief case?" Shiloh asked changing subjects.

The girl made no offensive move and Kalan relaxed a little. The girl was sarcastic, but nice. She loosened up her guard a little. "Well," she started grinning, "one usually 'starts' like everyone else. Here on the streets of the city. For most hunters I suppose they'd head for the biggest base in town and register their presence. But for most vampires, wolves, or demons, I have no idea where they would start. There is a very large coven of vampires in the city as well as climbing numbers of common street lurkers. The same goes for wolves. A lot of them simply roam around, but I believe there's a pack nearby." Kalan smiled. She liked helping people, and this girl had been the first female she had spoken to other than those rude ones who she had interviewed. It was nice.

At the mention of the vampire on the other hand Kalan's sweet smile left her. "Oh.. yeah I saw him." She didn't like the feel around that man. It made her insides twist, like a feeling of passive violence had come over him.

"That's a start..." mumbled Shiloh wishing she had more of a place or building to go to rather than yeah they wonder around. Rolling her eyes, Shiloh turned and started walking for the street. Her sword lightly tapping her side. It was very unusual to see a sword wielding wolf. But Shiloh liked being unusual, it was very fun. Wandering back to the enterence of the alley, Shiloh paused and looked to the girl.

"Well? You just gunna stand there looking scared or help me find a wolf or vampire... which ever is first." she asked in a curious tone of voice. She was kind of rude that way, bossing people around or be a smart a** around them. Whatever, if this town was going to be tough, she would be tough right back.

Kalan grinned when the girl invited her along. She reminded her of Kalan's big sister, but it had been so long since she had seen her. The image of her elder sister seemed to fit this girl perfectly. It was strange, and irked Kalan a little. The wolf girl was blunt, and rude. She liked blunt people, them and those who were socially awkward. When she heard them speak she could tell if they were being honest. And this girl was honest at the least.

"Sure, why not? My companion's busy right now, and I don't like to be alone." Kalan lifted the barrier in her mind letting her heightened senses pick out her surroundings. She watched the girl's footsteps and could smell her scent. It was a strange mix of the deep forest and cold rain. It made Kalan feel calm and drowsy. Everyone had their own specific scent, but creatures all had something in common. Wolves always had a hint of grass mixed in with their smell. Vampires, if they didn't wreak of blood, smelled like old books to Kalan. And Demons.. well, depending on what they were had varying scents, but they all in some way smelled of rotting food. This wolf smelled like the cool damp forest which Kalan had run through as a child. She liked it.

"So where to?" She spoke softly, a smile spreading cross her face. "Are we playing follow the leader with the bat boy, or should we forget about him and find another wolf?" She was curious and because of her childish and expressive face it showed easily. The blue of her eyes melted into a bright green, the feeling of adventure sinking in again.

Hurdy was several blocks away from the two. He had scaled a building and opened his brief case, it's contents a sniper rifle. He looked now threw the scope and saw his wolf girl and the other one. Some how he must have went right past her, but now he knew how she looked. He put the sight target on each, and pretended to pull the trigger. He then smiled and packed up his sniper and picked up the brief case. He would be back sooner or later. He turned to leave, as he had to rent and apartment.

"Depends on who ever we find first." Shiloh said honestly shoving her fists into her pockets. She couldn't be certian where he had vanished off to, he very well could be around the corner. As she stepped out into the open street, there weren't many people and no bat boy. Good, no one to report a blood covered girl. She paused and guessed which way to go. She turned right and headed down the street at a slow pace. The pollution of the city was sickening. But whatever. She had found a home, now she had to find others like herself.

"So - what are you? Clearly you know what I am. So wanna break the ice or should I first?" Shiloh asked forwardly. This girl smelt different from most girls, but couldn't point it out. Yes she was blunt but it was her nature. even before getting bit, she was always very rude, forward and rather a pain in the a**.

Shiloh glanced to the girl. She looked roughly the same age, but acted younger. Great one of those people who were in denial of their own age. But so far this kid hasn't done anything stupid, so Shiloh could let it go. With a shrug, Shiloh looked forward. She was having a tough time smelling things in this town. She was more use to a country life style with rolling grass hills. But oh well, this is where she ended up.

"What am.. I?" Kalan spoke as she pulled off her long coat. It was the first time someone had ever asked her that way. She didn't really know the proper response. Flashes of memories went by as she tried to recall. "Well.. I'm not quite sure to be truthful. I suppose I'm human." And she was, just a little different. The innocence of Kalan's upbringing made her seem naive, and most the time it came across as her acting ditsy, when she was quite the opposite. She was thoughtful when the situation called for it, and was a master of mind games.

"I was born with abilities beyond my understanding. Something in the blood I guess. Maybe an inherited gene or the like. Either way, my brother and I posses strange traits that set us apart from our family." The girl felt the pressure of eyes on her. She could always tell when she was being watched. A small tingling at the back of her neck was the warning. "Hmm. He might not have gone too far. Vampires have a tendency to avoid leaving loose ends, and you m'dear, have been targeted." A quiet fell over Kalan as she scanned the area they walked through. "Oh.. I almost forgot. My names Kaye." She held out her pale right hand to the wolf girl, a small smile playing across her face. Over her hand draped her coat as she offered it to cover up the blood which would surely receive odd faces from many onlookers.

(( Your "Doormouse" character sound scarily like me irl. xd I love to sing, I'm rarely if ever in a bad mood, I take martial arts, and my friend have a habit of calling me "Mommy ____" because I keep breaking up their fights and acting like a mother. Whenever someone new calls me mommy I glare at them and say, "I don't remember giving birth to you.." They always laugh and hug me. Its upsetting at times.. crying Autumn once responded with, "Oh I came in the cereal box. Remember?" ))

Shiloh listened to the girl, and nodded though fully. Clearly she wasn't sure either by the tone of her voice. Plus the innocence was there, so she possibly couldn't mean that much harm. Shiloh sighed remembering her innocence before she got cold hearted and everything. So her name was Kaye, nice name. Shiloh stopped at a street light when it said DO NOT CROSS. She stood quietly as she watched the light, waiting for it to change to green. She laughed when Kaye said she was targeted. It was kinda obvious that she was by the way that bat boy came after her.

"Well, nice to meet you Kaye - and no worries. I can handle myself." Shiloh shrugged warmly. The light turned green but Shiloh didn't move. She starred at it unturned. Its been a while since anyone really offered their concern. It was normal for Shiloh to be rude about their help, but she didn't have the urge to do it. She turned her eyes to Kaye.

"So - your something like a demon. Do you go around killing people or what?" she asked very interested about her 'abilities'. She missed the light. Great. Oh well, she had the time to learn a little about who all lives in this crazy place. So far vampires, wolves, and apperantly demons as well. She needed to know the competition to be ready.

((lol thats so cool! You want to join? We need the characters))

Kalan froze at the word 'demon'. Her hand fluttered to the silver celtic cross at her neck, and her eyes went cold. "No. I'm not a demon, and I don't kill people. I am a Hunter of noble birth. My whole family forms a complete faction in the Hunter society. A whole family of Slayers" The barrier in Kalan's mind slipped a little as she looked to the ground. She hated the thought of so much violence. She tucked the necklace back into her shirt out of view as her mind trailed back to the beast that had attacked her brother, along with the many others who had tried to kill her. She shivered. "You're wet, and its cold out here. Do you plan to freeze to death?" She mumbled draping the jacket over the wolf girl, and pulling it closed. Blood smeared onto her right hand as she buttoned it. She stepped back to the side staring at the rather large smudge. It was cold, and smelled heavily of dogs. A small bit of depression sunk in as Kalan realized just how much blood shed was going on in this single city. Her eyes seemed to fade into a dark blue. "So.. I didn't catch your name." She said, trying to pull herself out of it. To remain a help to those around her she couldn't be weighed by so much sadness.

((I dunno. I'm a relatively new RPer. And I'm not very good at it. sweatdrop ))

Shiloh watched her reaction and blinked. She didn't realized that she wasn't a demon but a hunter. Great, were wolves on her list? However, before she could explain herself, Kalan wrapped a jacket around her shoulders. That was - nice. But unexpected. Shiloh wasn't real use to kind gestures. She looked down at her shoulder and sighed as the blood was drying. Then she shrugged.

"I've been in worse weather." she said in a softer tone of voice. True, Shiloh's seen and been in blizzards that should have frozen anything alive. But thank god she was half wolf. The light turned green finally and she started walking. Then Kalan asked for her name. Stopping in the middle of the street, waiting for Kalan to follow, the wolf girl grinned.

"Heartless, Shiloh Heartless."
