-=Neko blinked and looked behind him, setting his empty mug on the table. He moved slowly. He could sense Shiro's chakra, but couldn't tell whoi it belonged to, so it was really no big surprise=-
Hmm? Excited about something?

Shiro stood up straight as he addressed his teacher.
"No, not really. I was just wondering if you've gotten any information as to the open Shojki position for the Kaze Element....."

Well, yeah. It's open. What about it?

Shiro rolled his eyes.
"Well, would I be able to fill that position? I've wanted it for a long time, and I feel I've matured since I left."
He began to convince himself that he shouldn't get his hopes up.

I dunno. Aside from the other day, I haven't seen you around much. If you did have that position, how do I know that you'd be here for your students?
-=Neko leaned back in his chair, his expression becoming a bit more serious as he watched Shiro roll his eyes=-
And it doesn't look to me like you've matured too much...

"You havent seen me around much because I wasn't needed. I was out continuing my reflection and meditation. If I did get the position, I would be there for my students whenever I am needed, wanted, asked for, or maybe even thought about, but I'm not sure I can do that last part yet. I know I may not have made the best impression during my earlier time here, but I can assure you that I will do my personal best to ensure the success of every student that walks into the Kaze Dojo with the intention of bettering himself or herself."
Shiro thought that he was rambling, because, in part, he was.

A cow slowly walked in on two legs from the front room, walked into the kitchen and started to make its own pot of tea. It looked over towards Neko and Shiro and gave them a slight salute before watching the water.

-=Neko watched the cow walk into the kitchen, raising an eyebrow at the strange sight. His chakra spiked up ever-so-slightly and he smirked, nodding slightly to the cow, then ignoring it completely=-
And how are you planning to prove this to me? I could spout all day about being able to crochet utter-warmers, but when it came down to it, I doubt I could even figure out how to use the needle...

"Well, how would you like me to prove it to you? Would you like me to teach you something? I'd teach you how to crochet, but I can't get the needle either. What if I were to teach you something, and from that class you can evaluate me?"
As he said this, he also held out a long glass needle for Neko to take.

The cow, feeling a bit PMSy, walked over towards Shiro and clocked him one for ignoring her. It then folder its legs and tapped one hoof on the ground slightly as it waited for some response.

-=Neko grabbed the Needle, and examined it for a moment, then twirled it around in his right hand as he chuckled at the cow-thwap=-
Alright, that sounds like an idea.

Shiro, who was not paying any attention to the cow whatsoever, was too busy talking to Neko to notice it until it hit him. He just rubbed the spot of impact and looked awkwardly at the cow, before turning back to Neko.
"Did that cow just hit me?"

The cow's eye twitched a little as it swung another punch to Shiro's face and then kicked for between the legs. The first one should be blocked by instinct but the second would be unexpected and should hit.

-=Neko stared at Shiro akwardly, yet extremely seriously, the needle still spinning around his gloved fingers=-
Cow? First of all, what would a cow be doing in this dojo? Second of all, why...no, how would a cow hit you? you're starting to really make me afraid of giving you this promotion...
...You didn't have any run-ins with any Genjutsu while you were out, did you?

Shiro was even more confused now, as he blocked a second punch, but took a third between the legs. He gritted his teeth but managed to stay standing. He didn't want to lose his temper, this was neither the time, location, or opportunity to do so. He simply stood up straight, and continued adressing Neko. He liked to avoid talking about Genjutsu at all, as it was the one ninja art he never could really....do.
"But...the.....bovine...."
Shiro keeled over once more. He was quite frustrated in this case. He really wanted the position, but circumstances were making things as difficult as possible. He wanted to correct Neko, but that would probably result in Neko scolding Shiro and sending him away. He also wanted to deal with the cow, but overreacting would only make things worse. He would have to do what a Shojiki or Sensei would do. Make things work. First, he would have to find out what was going on with the cow. He activated his Chounouryoku Eye, seemingly unchanged from before, and checked out the cow again. His Eye blinded Shiro, but made him aware of everything around him. This would allow him to see through any Genjutsu involved, as well as all but the best transformation jutsus.
