Elyan smiled at her response. He felt the same way about covens, having experienced his fair share of them during his time. Most of the time, it was a group of lost vampires who crowded around a higher-standing vampire proclaiming themselves as a god.

"I'm glad to see we share a similar belief. It'll prevent any conflicts on our side if the local coven decides to drop in." Thinking back, Elyan may have run into a coven member. That vampiress he first met... something about her made her stand out. It was only now he was realizing this, not that it mattered. She had helped him out of a tight spot and for that, he was forever grateful.

They had walked several blocks away from the scene of the crime. The blazing screams of sirens could be heard coming from all directions. Of course, the sound of sirens was like a magnet to people, causing them to flock to the source of the horrid noise.

"Luckily, the body won't have any trace of bite marks," Elyan commented, still facing forward. "At the most, burn marks and a single gunshot wound is all they'll find. But, are you going to need to feed?" It's true, Elyan couldn't tell if she was in need of blood. Unlike himself, she wasn't quite the open book. No, she was rather cautious with her thoughts. It seemed her body was no different. He knew he picked the right person to help him better adapt to this long-going life. In the back of his head, more and more questions arose for Ellie.

Corinne didn't see what about her bleak outlook and take on humans and things in general made him smile but she supposed to each was their own. She lived for irony as well as a few other key things that amused her. Her humour was rather dark and dry, she wasn't exactly the happiest of people and most who were optimistic tended to avoid her since her tendencies were more toward realistic boardering pessimistic. She wasn't a person who always believed that everything was going to be alright and she didn't tell other people that either. For the most part she was pretty truthful about things unless it put her a** on the line so Elyan could trust her so long as he wasn't seeking to harm her.

As for covens, she wanted absolutely nothing to deal with them and it came as no surprise to her when Elyan informed her that he had nothing to do with them either. He'd been alone after all and if he'd been a part of a coven she'd probably be the last person he would have asked to help him. "That will definitely help to make things easier for us both if we can see eye to eye on a few things. You'll probably find my beliefs aren't exactly typical everyday beliefs and that they're fueled by my character. Over time I'm sure you'll come to notice I'm not the most pleasant of people but at least I don't pretend to be something I am not. As for covens bothering us ... I hope they don't because I have absolutely no interest in being a part of a group of brain washed vampires that believe they're a family when they're all just looking to save themselves."

"I just fed before I happened to run into you so I won't need to feed for a while. I also have built a tolerance to going without blood for quite a long time since I've been at this for two hundred years. I doubt you will find you have such tolerance since blood will probably become your addiction and you'll find yourself craving it often. No need to worry about me, I can look after myself and I can certainly hunt for myself. And if you were going to char up the body you might as well have incinerated everything. No matter, though, it's hardly our concern any longer. Humans won't be able to trace it back to anyone in particular."

She was still walking, aware of Elyan's thoughts and questions he was formulating for his sire. Upon hearing such things she stopped in her tracks and turned around to face him unexpectedly. Just in case he happened to not be paying attention, her palms were out so he would walk into her hands as opposed to her. "Elyan. I know I have no faith in your sire and that I suggested that she could have done this to misguide you and debenefit you but I don't want you to forget why you're here. At the same time, I don't want you to be a fool who's being played by some vampire who's kept you weak your entire life. I'm suggesting it's quite possible she up and disappeared willingly and such but it's equally as possible that this is just another tragic love case. However, things usually aren't ever as simple as they seem. I don't want you to grow a hatred for her, though because I'm bitter toward everyone. You love her but keep your mind open to all possibilities and explanations. Alright?"

"I think that maybe we should go someplace that we can go to get rid of those bullets, I think that maybe they might try to kill you again so do you know anywere we could go?" he tried to sense if any other vampires were nearby that might try to kill them.

Kalan put her small hand on his chest and pushed him back onto the ground. "You're both nuts if either of you thinks vampires really don't strike twice. They're monsters, not lightning. For all you know they could still be there." Her blue eyes darted up to David's. "And he's in no position to be moved at this time. If he's going anywhere it'll be to a medical center." The realization finally dawned on her that he was a werewolf. The human hospital probably wouldn't be able to treat him. "Uh.. do you have a better place than some ratty apartment to treat him?"

He was taken by surprise by Holly's sudden movement. Her words reflected some of his own thoughts at times. The theory of a false kidnapping had crossed his mind a few times before. Elyan smiled, reflecting a child-like innocence. For the most part, Elyan was a rather innocent being. Compared to even most newly-turned vampires, he was a baby who just happened to be old and powerful. Such a strange twist of fate he seemed to live.

"It's very kind of you to be concerned," he replied. "While I may be naive in many things, this is something I have lived with for many years." His face turned rather gloomy for a moment, before being forcefully returned to a happier disposition. "If anything, I am prepared for the worst case scenario."

Kalan made a face and pulled her coat back on. "He's mental." She sighed. "So David, which way?" She stared up to him slipping back into an apathetic mood. She wasn't feeling too good. She put her right hand up to her face for a second. It was still warm. She hated the idea of getting sick at a time like this. Kalan scowled as she picked up her bag.

Corinne didn't know Elyan well enough to know whether or not he was smart enough to think for himself a bit and expect the unexpected. However, to his credit while he was naieve he wasn't stupid and he clearly did think for himself some which would be a good thing since she didn't really want to deal with someone who was stupid. Stupid people always took longer to learn, not that she'd really gotten the stupid vibe from Elyan but he seemed too kind at times. He needed to be shown some reality and he needed to realize that people took advantage of kind people like him. That was simply how the world was and worked and there was nothing either of them or anyone else could do to change that. There were tons of possiblities, after all. She could already be dead for all Elyan knew or perhaps she was leading him on and conning him. Of course, this was coming from Corinne the woman of oh so little faith but the idea was still quite possible and by no means was out of the question.

"You say you're prepared but have you had any such aspect taken away from your life before? Have you ever had one of the dearest, most precious people to you die? Most people aren't very rational when handling another's death because the grief does not allow them to see reason beyond their own suffering. I advise you be cautious in your expectations and prepare as much as possible for the worst situation since it is probably one of the most likely to arise. Anyhow, this really isn't any of my business so I shall leave you to your thoughts. Just remember what I said." It was clear that something had happened to her in her life to bring herself to say this to Elyan and that she was speaking from experience as opposed to assuming. Even the most collected of people could fall apart in the event of the unexpected.

"Seeing as I plan to steer clear of topics that aren't really my business how about I ask you what your over all impression of this city is first off? I'm certain it's somewhat different from Britain." Corinne decided to kill their former topic by simply changing it since she knew it could easily turn into a volatile one. She didn't want him to wonder what the hell had brought her to say such things to him either since that would involve speaking of her past. Corinne had no wish to reveal much of her real self to Elyan at all, after all, they hadn't known eachother very long and though it seemed they shared a lot in common that was no reason to trust him. He seemed nice enough but there was a sinister side to him that she was certain could just as easily arise and awaken. That was why she was impossible for him to read, of course, she naturally presented people with a blank slate in regards to her thoughts and emotions.
