Tomo nodded and sat down on a barstool. "I don't mind at all. I take care of my employees." He said, leaning back against the bar. "So, please! Take as much as you need... Just not too much, of course. Dying's not so fun."

Arlen quietly watched the two men converse. Was he going to eat Mister Tomo? Why didn't Mister Tomo seem worried about it? These and perhap hundreds of other questions raced through his brain as he found himself more or less unable to move.

"No, it really isn't," Nox murmured, sliding off his own barstool and wrapping his arms delicately around his new boss. "But don't worry, I know how to control myself." He placed one hand on the back of Tomo's head, the other on the man's back to support him. Nox wasted little time in sinking his fangs into the flesh above the vein, drinking slowly of the blood that gushed from the artery. There was a faint pleasure in his bite, which could just have easily been horrible pain. Nox seldom magnified pain, though, unless he really didn't like a person.

Tomo looked to Arlen and smiled at him, reading his expression, "It's okay, Arlen." He said, "He's not going to hurt me." He assured the child. Once he was bitten, Tomo held very still. It wasn't the most pleasurable bite he'd recieved, but he had to admit that it was still pretty good.

Arlen's eyes widened as the strange man bit Mister Tomo. Mister Tomo had said it was alright, but it seemed so weird.

Nox licked the puncture wounds on Tomo's neck breifly, then stepped back, licking a few drops of blood from his lips. He noticed the boy looking at him, seemingly a little afraid. "It's alright, Arlen. I'm a vampire, but I don't like to hurt people." He smiled, then turned back to Tomo. "Thank you, sir, your blood was strange, but in a good way."

Tomo nodded and twitched his tail happily. "I'm pretty strange, myself." He admitted, leaning back against the bar. He reached up to touch the bite and seemed satisfied. At least he wasn't as dizzy as he usually was. "It's only fitting that my blood be strange as well."

"What's a vampire?" Arlen asked quietly, calming down quite a bit now that he could see that Tomo was alright.

Nox chuckled a little, returning to his barstool. "I hope my bite was to your liking... Though I usually save the really wonderful feelings for the ladies. So.. how often do other vampires drop in?" He laughed at Arlen's question. "A vampire is a being who drinks blood. There are different types, some who are born like that, others who are made... I myself am the latter type."

Tomo stood up and stretched with a yawn. "It was pretty good." He said, cracking his knuckles. "We get a good flow in and out. They don't seem to stay very long. A few days at the most. But there are other beings here that drink blood as well." He murmured, heading over to the stairs. "I'm a smidge dizzy and very tired. I'm gonna head up to bed." He announced before walking upstairs.

Arlen frowned in confusion. "I don't get it," he murmured, not noticing that he was blinking more often and each blink lasting longer.

Puzzled a little at Tomo's words, Nox waved to him, saying, "Goodnight, boss. I'll see you around..." He looked down at Arlen, smiling. "You live by consuming things like chicken and maccaroni, whereas I have to drink the blood of living things to stay alive." He noticed that the boy seemed tired as well.

"Oh," Arlen said softly, he still didn't quite understand, but he couldn't remember why he was confused either. Drowsily he started to climb down from the bar stool, stumbling a bit when his feet reached the floor.

Smiling in spite of himself, Nox watched Arlen. "Would you like help getting to bed?" he asked. The boy already seemed dead on his feet, and he didn't want him to trip on the stairs or anything.

"No thank you," Arlen mumbled, sleepily pointing to a couch by the fireplace as he dragged his feet towards it.. "Going there," he murmured, but he didn't quite make it. He ended up leaning against Nox as he walked past the man and was soon asleep on his feet.
((G'night. Hope you had fun and come again))
