Jagger watched Kensington for a moment, since he was the only thing to look at in her mind's darkness. Slowly, the color of her red eyes swirled around the black pupil. In seconds the color was a sparkling and swirling silver. "Then you have to block them out..Just like you have to make your self numb in order to forget the pain..." she said,a sad smile on her lips.

Kensington smiled, 'Easier said than done, which you will now see for yourself. Prepare yourself!'

He began forcing his way into her mind, attempting to glean every secret and hidden thought from her mind, although the experience would be extremely painful and indeed brutal in nature, he was careful not to reduce her to a gibbering idiot, causing just enough pain to keep her occupied, but not enough to cause lasting damage.

Jagger couldn't help but crack a smile then began occupying her mind. Ravi had done this to her plenty of times, forcing his way deeper into her mind.He had tortured her everyday, teaching her how to be immune to psychic attacks. He had shown her a few tricks as well.Jagger's eyes never winced nor wavered as she continued to look at Kensington, but her mind was else where as she sorted through her memories and picked out faces from the past until she came to one very vivid memory. Suddenly, she let it surface.

The blood and entrails of decaying humans everywhere. The warlocks magic blasting through the air. The lycans growls echoing past the mountains. The vampires fangs stained red with blood. And all eyes were glowing a color of hunger. Jagger shouted orders, her hair damped with blood and sweat,as she continued on. But the creatures would keep coming until they were all dead. Suddenly, she felt her foot catch in the mud, sending forward. As she slowly tried to get up,she noticed a certain lycan making is way toward her. Quickly, she searched for her sword, only to find it just as the creature lunged. She was preparing to lift it,just as a man with appeared in front of the lycan and plunged his hand directly into it's chest, pulling the large heart out. Slowly the man turned around,to reveal glistening ice blue eyes, long black hair, and beatifully sculpted face..But,the only two things that Jagger truely noticed was his white skin and sharp fangs.

Jagger slumped to the ground, her eyes shut as she gasped for breath. "Forgive..me." she breathed, pressing a hand to her forehead.

Kensington grabbed Jagger as she fell.
'I'll give you points for trying to be clever, I see you are not adverse to psychic attack. However your strategy leaves you weakened, I mean you can barely stand at the moment.' He said as he helped her to her feet.
'You have a rudimentary grasp, but I'll help you hone that particular skill, in return I would be honoured if you taught me physical defence. I'm all good and well within the psychic realm, but I admit I'm a bit rusty when it comes to flesh against flesh.'
He limped forward towards a nearby bench, almost carrying jagger as the same time.
'As you can see, you got a few good attacks in on me.' He said as he took a seat, he reached into his jacket and pulled out a thermos flask, he opened it and poured out a cup of chilled blood. He offered it to Jagger.
'Please, have some, it's not the same as drinking straight from a human, but it certainly hits the spot. I think we'll rest a few minutes here before we move on. What do you think?'

Jagger nodded as thanks, feeling too weak to speak, then brought it to her lips and quickly downed the cold blood. She coughed a few times then smoothed her hair. "I'd say you're doing quite fine with both." she said with a laugh.

The two of them sat there for several minutes not talking, just recouperating from their little skirmish.

Kensington finally broke the silence, 'I'm expecting a message from my coven back in England, they're sending me a mission from what I can gather. I could use you on my team, if you're interested?'

Hakizimana Lao Tzu
Kaiel's heart stopped when the monster thing dropped him then pulled out a gun. He nearly jumped out of his skin when the thing tossed the gun next to him. Demanding to shoot him. He shook his head, once to clear the beat heart noise out of his ears, a second time more slowly as he gripped the gun laying innocently next to him. He was tempted, very tempted to aim and shoot the gun at the man. Only one thing refused to inside of him.

An iron will that stated he would not kill unless beaten to a inch of his life, which could most likely happen with the next minute or so. It would be easy to shoot the man thing before being even more hurt. Kaiel shook his head for the third and final time. "No. I won't kill you." He unloaded the gun in one swift move and scattered the bullets by chucking them behind him. He still gripped the gun in his hand, prepared to use it as a blunt object.

Eden had been away for a long time and she'd actually left Hunter and Uncle in charge of the place in her absence. Now that she was back the youngest and only Jackson was more than prepared to deal with the current situations at hand. She'd left in order to seek some more training that she hadn't been able to receive in New York due to a lack of people available to assist her. This had forced her to travel to Romania and China in order to seek the help she'd sought. While in Romania she'd been taught further combat and had honed herself even further, especially her body as a weapon. In China she'd learned to focus her mind and clear all distractions from her mind and now she was ready to show New York who not to mess with.

Before she announced her return to New York, back to the Hunters, back as their leader, though, she'd been wanting to take a walk in an all too familiar place filled with too many memories to count any longer. The hunter leader was enjoying her solitude and the quiet of the evening, the crisp breeze until her heightened senses picked up on an incident. Immediately she rolled her eyes in her mind and snarled inwardly at the intrusion so soon. It would be a bit of a transition from the tranquil environment she'd just returned from.

Her ears had picked up on the noise but once she came closer to the scene her nose informed her that it was, in fact, Ceon that was messing around and disturbing the peace yet again. Already her patience was slipping but she reminded herself of her training and decided instead of approaching Ceon directly and punching him in the face like she wanted to that she would just deal with the foolish lycan facing up against him.

Eden came up from behind so Ceon would see her but Kai most certainly would not until she grabbed the gun he'd raised against Ceon. "You'd probably be best to just get out of here. This guy's relentless and bad news and he hits hard, trust me, I know. Going up against him with that isn't going to help you, kid." She then turned her gaze to Ceon, her gaze more tranquil than he'd likely ever seen it despite the menacing, undertoned threat of the beast within her, "So Ceon, what's going on here? Why are you disturbing the peace yet again? Still can't control that temper of yours?"

Jagger paused then turned to Kensington with and excited face. "I'd love to...But,I must warn you,I'm not very good with others. I work better alone." she said.

'That works out well, I need a scout. You'll be on your own most of the time, intelligence gathering that sort of thing. Maybe even assassination, if the situation warrants it.' Kensington replied.

Jagger smirked, remembering her past. "Now,assissination is my speciallty." she said with a laugh.

He figured she was another monster on the side of the first. He knew he was diffently dead is she was. When she spoke for him to run he let out a short bark of on the edge laughter, "If it would have worked I would have accomplished it already."

Ceon's eyes grew large when Eden showed up in front of him. "L...long time no see, Eden. I'm just trying to beat this liar's memory back into him. You know, like I always do." It had been so long that Ceon had nearly forgotten Eden. The fact that he wanted nothing to do with her after she went for someone else forced its way out of his brain.

Eden's hazel eyes surveyed Ceon with utmost caution and care despite the fact she'd been capable of handling him before. The way in which she observed him was similar to the sideways glance of a feline, aware but dormant until spirited into response. Her recent training had opened her eyes more to the possibility of leaving openings and suffering should she allow hubris to get the best of her. It was better for her mind's sake, to place him in the same category as herself and see him as an equal. She always wanted to be fighting as if she were facing an opponent potentially stronger than her and in order to clash with a being of such that she would require the complete utilization of her skills and talents while doing battle. This way she would prevent mistakes and show the discipline of a true warrior.

Moreover, though, Eden had been immersing herself in the art of working together with the second aspect of herself. At first she'd had great difficulty coming together with her bestial aspect and accepting it but now they were at ease with one another and were not struggling for dominance. This cleared her mind and also enabled her to be a much more formidable opponent than she'd been before she'd departed New York and the hunters to seek training.

First she addressed Kaiel while her luminescent orbs chose never to leave Ceon to his own devices. "I suppose it is difficult to run from a lycan but I don't see why you don't help yourself and access your own abilities as one. " Though she could have easily probed this kid's thoughts, Eden chose not to since it was an ability she chose not to abuse as many of the vampires did on a daily basis. People's private thoughts were their own, not that she didn't indulge from time to time in order to figure a situation out faster than simply asking what had happened. Here, however, there was no emergency and she wasn't in a huge hurry so she chose to withdraw into her own mind for the time being.

Once she took her time evaluating Kaiel a little closer, however, she recognized him to look almost exactly the same as Razu had when she'd seen him briefly in her past. She went back through her memories and tried to drag a clearer image of Razu out but it had been so long ago and she'd been through so much since that she could only drag out a hazy image that looked exactly like this kid. Of course, that was when the wolven side of her began investigating further and the scent as well as the aura of his own wolven self became fully aware to her. This was Razu but it seemed that he didn't remember Ceon for whatever reason. This, however, she sought to address later since she first wished to acknowledge Ceon's words.

The once youthful, rash and tenacious vibe that Eden had once portrayed as a hunter and as the hunter leader seemed to have been chipped from her surface completely. No signs remained that she was such and underneath the fine diamond in the rough that had been hiding underneath the coating had been revealed. The tenacity had been replaced with caution and observation while the youth and rashness had been replaced with wisdom and understanding. The training had significantly factored in how she handled and carried herself though the tenacity and big heart were still there, simply buried even deeper within herself for the sake of acting as a leader and not solely within her own interest.

Eden was actually amused by Ceon's surprise and the fact that he was stammering within her presence, perhaps he could sense that she'd been away honing her abilities as opposed to fooling around. However, she reserved her smirk and her typical laugh that would follow for a more appropriate time. Right now there was tension and things could play out either way and she didn't wish to influence it herself but wished to see what Ceon would do without her own influence over him. And seeing as she was holding back from reading people's thoughts and intentions, she wasn't as aware of Ceon's decision to so quickly forgive her as she could have been. However, the wolf within her definitely could sense his raw feelings and when it did not sense aggression toward it that tempted it to probe him for answers.

"You never were able to let go of the past, were you, Ceon? I'd say now is probably a decent time to start trying since it looks like Razu here doesn't recognize either of us. Beating him isn't going to bring his memories back though I suppose mentally adjusting his thoughts and finding the lost ones might be able to help. I could bring the lost thoughts to the forefront to help him remember but something tells me he might not trust me enough to help him or perhaps there's a reason those memories were pushed so far back into his mind. Perhaps he doesn't wish to remember. Did you ever consider that, Ceon?"
PostPosted: Mon Aug 30, 2010 1:38 pm

Kaiel looked exasperated though inside he was still shaking with fear. He had this bravado thing down to a pat even if it wasn't real. "I'm not this Razu. I'm not like you. I just want to go back to the hospital, report my nurses death then sleep without any more injuries than what I was found with."

Ceon scowled and stood up straight, backing away from Razu. "The past is all I have left. The future I had with Layna is somewhere that I can't find and the future I had with you was never there. And I want him to remember so he will know fully why I'm going to kill him."
