Raven walked with her heavy gait. She didnt know the city well, so she didnt exactly know where she was. She walked aimlessly, no friends, no family, no place to go. She bypassed the bars; she wasnt much of a drinker. She passed by a pub and a man was smoking a cigarette. She was dying for one. She thought about asking to have one, but didnt know if that was okay or not.

Ed perched himself on the edge of a building, looking down at the mortals below. He sighed. "Is this the life I've chosen for myslef?" He looked at the moon, large in the sky. "I miss Italia. Life was easier there." He watched as a pair of mortals fought in an alley, a nightly occurence around here. He thought of fighting but it was useless, he would always win. He rememberd a film from the 1970's, "Rocky". That was real fighting, fighting to keep yourself and those around you safe. He sighed. There was no one in his life he should keep safe, they had all died.

"Where did she go?" Elyan asked himself. The air was drenched in emotion of all kinds. An incident such as the one which took place in this area was bound to gain unwanted attention. He had to remain unnoticed while he tried to find Holly, he had been noticed along with her when they had approached the body before he had disposed of it.

Like a flash of lightning, Elyan utilized his unnatural strength and reflexes to scale a building in a few leaps. As he climbed further, he could sense where she was. She wasn't alone, either. It wasn't long before he landed on-top of the building which Kensington and Holly stood. His land was graceful and neat, he was at least useful in those regards.

"Lady Holly," Elyan announced. He kept his distance behind her, staying out of her way. He didn't pull himself into confrontations or discussions unless certain circumstances took place. His eyes narrowed as he examined the other creatures which stood before them. A light breeze now managed to dance about them, tossing his hair and coat around in a frenzy. Yet, his stone-cold body didn't flinch. Rather, it remained absolutely still.

"Your orders, my lady?" Elyan asked.

'Come now Jack! Put your weapon away, this one was only curious. You can hardly fault her that, although I must say she shows courage in tracking you down.' A voice say behind her.

'I'm sorry mylord, I was just frustrated. I lost the woman I talked to you about and accidently shot an innocent.' Jack replied.

Kensington stepped forward, 'Ah well that is a problem. About the girl, what do you reckon? Was she working for 'them' or some other faction?'

'I reckon she was a hunter mylord, but I think now is not the time to discuss such matters.' Jack replied as he holstered his pistol.

'You're quite right Jack,' Kensington said. He turned to Corinne, 'I am Lord Reginald Kensington, I am sorry for my man's behaviour, but you have accidently stumbled upon a matter of great importance, more than that I cannot tell you, but suffice to say, I would not persue this matter if I were you, there may be a time when I need assistance, but for now I still do not have all the pieces.'

Corinne's lips curved into a grin upon hearing the much more pleasant vampire from behind her commenting on her bravery. She had been a little too bold but what was being dead without having a little fun every once and a while? This Jack had presented her with a puzzle to solve and she had done so. He'd been aiming for a vampire and had instead hit an innocent civilian, which had benefitted Elyan. If the girl was already dead surely Elyan would not have an issue with feeding off her as much as he wished. Of course, it would prove more messy. "Why thank you. I suppose I was a little on the bold side but I assure I meant no harm."

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lord Kensington. No apologies needed, clearly he was just spooked by my interest and perhaps took my snooping the wrong way. As for this matter of importance, well, I shan't keep you from such and I shall bid you both a good evening. Surely we will meet the likes of one another again. Until then, the best of luck to you in your endeavour, Jack and Lord Kensington. I pray there are no hard feelings between us, Jack." She smiled and gently tugged on the collar of Elyan's shirt under said circumstances could be interpreted as flirting or being motherly.

Corinne dropped down into the alley below with Elyan at her side and turned to inspect him and face him in general. "You needn't call me lady, Elyan. If you do not wish formalities then I do not wish for such either. I was of high stature a time long ago but those are fleeting memories of things I barely recall. Now, where were we? Oh yes. You fed I presume? I no longer feel your trembling and you seem much more stable and the child is silent. How did you find your very first scavenged meal?"

'A pleasure my dear, I'm sure Jack won't take it personally.' Kensington smiled as she departed, 'I was that curious once.' He mused.

He turned to Jack, 'Come now old friend, we must locate that Hunter and find out what she knows.'

A content smile appeared across his face, Elyan was happy. He felt like he was doing something productive and he didn't feel so alone anymore. He hadn't realized how much he longed for the company of another, having been traveling alone for so many years.

"You do have a point," He replied, "I shall address you by 'Holly', then." His gaze remained upon the vampiress as she inquired about his feeding. He took this time to notice her features, now having a much clearer head.

"Yes, I fed from her body before disposing of the remains," Elyan replied. His mind went back to that moment, the still blood having to be extracted from the corpse in such a messy, unrefined way.

"As for the meal... I had less qualms about drinking from a cadaver. The blood... while not fresh, was satisfying. On the inside, I wanted her to be alive, to be able to feel the pulse of her life-body entering my own." All of this time, Elyan's face hadn't changed. It was still wearing the content face from before. Of course, his own thoughts still made him uncomfortable, but he felt safe at the moment.

Corinne was glad to see that he didn't seem to be having quite as much trouble as she had first suspected he would have due to the fact that he was completely babied by his sire. That fact was something she found difficult to get past because while she hadn't had a sire while he had one he hadn't learnt nearly as much as she had without one. As far as Corinne was concerned the woman he was searching for had held him back, for what reasons, she wasn't going to dwell too deeply within. Corinn'es purpose was to assist Elyan in being a vampire and that was all. She had never been a mentor before and she refused to change people into what she was so she would never be a sire either.

"Indeed. You've a mind of your own as well, I'm not your master or your sire so you are free to do as you please. If there is something troubling you or something of concern in regards to being a vampire you wish to address you may contact me. For now, though, this seems to be a rather beautiful evening and it seems wasted just standing here in a dark alleyway. We should explore the city, perhaps we will find something or someone and discover a little more about this place." She looked up into the sky as she spoke of exploring, not even noticing Elyan overlooking her features. As any vampire was, she was bred to perfection and her beauty had only been honed by her vampirism. As a human she'd looked much similar, perhaps with a faint red in her cheeks and a few freckles and birthmarks here and there. Other than that, she'd remained the same for two hundred years.

"Very good. I was planning to teach you judgement and control over feeding so you don't get carried away but a free meal is not something you often come across. Some of the more snobby vampires will insist that scavenging is disgusting and for low, pathetic vampires but it's all a matter of opinion. If you find you do not like it then you needn't do so again but you certainly get a lot more blood than you normally would and if you're lucky enough, you stumble upon the body when it's fresh just after the murder. That's probably the most splendid body that has already deceased you will ever feed from." She spoke casually about drinking blood seeing as she'd done it for two hundred years now. If people overheard them of course they would just likely think they were batshit crazy but seeing as New York was paranoid these days she supposed it was good they were in an alleyway and she was keeping her voice down.

"It is always nice to drink from something that hasn't died or been rendered unconscious by your own hands. Always nicer to not have to worry about being overly greedy with the blood supply as well, reminds you that you aren't a monster but certainly are not something natural in it's entirety. But yes. Pulses are beautiful, everyone's is different and the flavour is always different as well. You'll certainly find there is a lot of variety and that clean, upstanding citizens aren't always the tastiest to target." Corinne realized that Elyan was not entirely comfortable with himself yet but he would require time to adapt to it. Some adapted quickly, some did not, those who did were more likely to survive, it said it all in Darwin's theories of natural selection. Vampires were not exempt.

"Believe me, I know that very well. My time in New York has been limited, but I've drunk from three different bodies already. One of which, I drank dry. Part of me loathed myself for what I did, but I also loved it." Elyan chuckled a bit before placing his hand on his forehead and sliding his fingers back through his silver hair. "I suppose I really take the "damned" thing to a whole new level, huh?"

He walked closer to Holly, his boots scraping across the stray gravel which littered the concrete. She was right, the night was beautiful. Throughout his existence, he always found the night to be breathtaking. Even as a child, he would often gaze out of a window at the different phases of the moon as the days passed by. Plus, when Ellie would come by, he had a friend to talk to. That's right, he'd never had any friends before her. Even now, Holly was the closest thing he had to any sort of relationship to anyone else.

"So mi... er, Holly," Elyan began, obviously catching his tongue before any formalities slipped through his teeth. "Where shall we travel this fine evening." Elyan's eyes displayed a glint of deviousness while he smiled a rather fang-filled smile. Now, more than ever, he truly felt like a vampire. Before, it was almost a game of pretend. He enjoyed the feeling of becoming more comfortable in his own skin. Holly seemed to bring out that side of him.

"I suppose you've adapted better than I have, even. Congratulations I suppose. Just remember yourself and remind yourself that you aren't a monster and simply because humans are your prey doesn't give you the right to slaughter them. I could babble to you about having morales and hunting down bad humans but it takes time to discern such things and I do not play the super hero. It is much too time consuming. However, I'll teach you how to get your fill without killing someone and eventually your body will adapt to the idea of not having a full body of blood, you'll see." She shrugged nonchalantly when he asked her if he took 'damned' to a whole new level and she instantly recalled the barbarians that'd drowned her. "Hardly. Just a new level for you. You're learning that being nice all the time doesn't get you anywhere. Better remember yourself, though, for your sire or she may not appreciate the changes you've undergone."

Corinne had superficial relationships with contacts in which she had something to gain from but beyond that she knew no one with Nitlal as the exception. She hadn't informed anyone she'd moved, they didn't even know where she lived in the first place, she preferred it that way. If she even did upset someone then they would have no clue as to her whereabouts, which suited her purposes rather well seeing as she didn't really feel like being hunted down. People, vampires, lycans, demons, they all hunted people down and all of them had hunted a person down who was innocent or hunted down someone without a justified reason. That was simply how things were and why she trusted no one with her contact information. To them she was Holly Sanders and to herself, to Nitlal, she was Corinne LeBlanc.

One feigning they were a human when they were a vampire, to Corinne, was akin to a dog pretending and wishing it were a cat. Perhaps there were some dogs that came close but no dog would ever be able to climb a tree and no cat would ever be able to bark. That was simply how things were and denying what one was did them absolutely no good at all. If Elyan was able to embrace and accept what he was then he would have a much easier time with most things. Of course, he still needed to learn a few things before he could prance off on his own but learning took time and lessons of course. Elyan was at least starting to embrace his true nature, which was the first step to a long path of things he would need to overcome.

"Where ever the wind takes us. Where ever you please." Corinne's eyes did not possess the same excitement nor deviousness that Elyan's possessed. She wasn't sure but Elyan seemed to be fitting into the vampire skin a little too well and she wondered if perhaps she'd awakened something his sire had been trying to keep asleep. Of course, Elyan had been and still was rather pathetic though at the very least he could fight. She didn't think it was fair of his sire to deprive him of human blood for so long because how ever many years it'd been, six hundred or so, he was getting a rush of human blood. Perhaps he was just on a high from his first few times drinking it, she had been and she'd accidentally killed those who were unfortunate enough to be there at the time. "Where do you think we should go?"

"Well, since we are both so very new to this city, wouldn't it be a good idea to become acquainted with some of the more-important sights and locations?" Elyan suggested. He crossed his arms in thought, a quirk he often did as a human. Some things never changed, even after six-hundred years. "This city is full of 'important' places. Of course..." He paused for a moment, glancing towards Holly. "Of course, there are places which involve a local coven and their doings." The matters of the coven didn't mean anything to Elyan. In fact, he preferred not to be associated with them as to not get dragged into their war with the other races.

"Tell me, are you associated with the coven found here in New York?" Elyan asked, his face seeming more serious. "You don't seem the type to fall into their ranks, but I'm just curious." Regardless of her answer, he'd stick around. She was his best chance for survival at the moment so it'd be a bad idea to just cut ties with her.
