Tea had completely missed that look given to him by the necromancer. A good thing, too, because something about the way Zix looked kindofmaybejustsomehow made Tea all too distracted and it wasn't good. But he hadn't noticed it, and purely because he was concentrating on something entirely different and much much more important.
The tanned assistant --he had locked the door, right? It just won't do to have people snooping around at his stuff, who always always came in without his permission unlike Zix who--NO.-- was trying to not to get mad at himself while trying to dispel the last hints of that stupid quiverfaint trembling from his voice because it was stupid and if this went on for any longer this stupid weakness then Zix would notice and that would just make everything that much more complicated and it was annoying..!
So he hadn't really noticed the pause, or the look, or.. or anything even remotedly concerned with Zix because Tea didn't care and he didn't like Zix so there. There was nothing at all to pay attention to. Nothing.
"I'll give you a map, if you'd like." Tea muttered through gritted teeth, ignoring the 'dead people can be fun too' whatever and instead spending the time watchingglaring darkly at the other assistant --someone he didn't know and therefore didn't matter-- who was staring at them with a bewildered expression on his face. And it was all Zix's fault. The necromancer was ruining ruining Tea's image which took this year and a half to build up and now look what happens when you accompany a lunatic who's swirlingtwirlingdancing down the corridor. It was annoying. "They give it to newcomers but obviously you haven't go--rats?"
Tea had never ever liked rats. Mice, were.. okay. Just not rats. Rats were big and black and.. and just annoying. He wasn't scared, he wasn't queasy, just.. just annoyed. That was it. Annoyed. Nothing more. "Stop it." At least the tremblewhatever thing was gone now, and Tea was slightly thankful for that. Maybe it was the whole eating rats thing..

It was strange, if he thought about it.
Others couldn't feel.
Others like him, that is. Other zombies. Other.. other nothings other dead people other.. just others. It was strange. Butter had never thought about it, never given it much thoughts in terms of feeling anything, he was almost the only one. Was that why the scientists had decided to keep him? Because he could feel pain, when he so obviously shouldn't? Because they had some use for him?
Because zombies who could feel pain, however minor, was useless. Zombies were dead, Butter was dead so he shouldn't be able to feel anything but he did and.. and there was no reason whatsoever to keep a zombie who could feel so..
Something finally clicked in his mind and his eyes flickerflashed slightly, palepale eyesgaze flyingup snappingup to meet the dark snake's eyes.
They didn't need him anymore. Because he could feel which was useless and he was useless which meant that they didn't need him anymore, and if they had brought in the necromancerperson thing then.. then it meant that there would be more zombies who were perfect in their unfeelingness, and.. and so they didn't need Butter anymore.
He was expendable. Nobody would care if he disappeared. Nobody.
"You.." Somethingnothing flickerflashwavering in Butter's eyesvoice the corner of his lips hands clenching tighttightly by his side over his chest-- "You don't care, do you?" Because nobody cared about nothing and Butter was nobody and.. and Zanis so obviously didn't like nothings because he was something because he was living not like Butter who was colddeadnothingdead but not really because he.. he was defective and.. and nobody wanted him for anything anymore so he was useless..!

Ah! There it was! That annoyed, 'give-me-a-knife-and-I'll-kill-you-now' voice that Tea did so well. And it was so obvious that Tea didn't appreciate anyhting Zix did even though it was only for Tea's benefit, because really, who wanted a bunch of dead empty space in the air? At least pointless chatter kept that awkward silence from sweeping in and ravaging everything in its wake.
Besides, what exactly was he supposed to stop? Just saying 'Stop it' all general like that could mean anything or everything, and Zix couldn't very well stop everything because that included small essentials like breathing and...and thinking and just general living... So what, exactly, did Tea want him to stop?
Zix decided to go with the safest choice, and stopped spinning.
"Leather's better, though," he said blandly, waving a hand vaguely in the air. No more spinning...how not fun... "Because you can just chew and chew a piece of leather and pretend you're eating jerky or something, and it does help with the hunger pangs a bit." Useful note for people on the road: it was possible to eat your boots. He'd done it quite a few times --after he'd scraped all the varish and dirt and mud off-- when there was nothing relatively looking like food in sight.
Then the rest of Tea's mumbled mumbledness --the stuff before the deathwordsofDOOM-- sank in, and his step faltered slightly. Tea wanted to give him a map? But...but that was bad. It meant that he wouldn't need people to lead him arund anymore, and as it was, that was basically the only living human interaction he got anymore. It has been noted that people don't associate with either morgue keepers or necromancers, and double whammy Zix was both. And Zix was terrified of being without living people company. Because dead people were great and all, but they just weren't...they weren't living.
But he couldn't let it show how much that offer scared him. Because Tea wouldn't care if he was scared if being alone --with dead people-- or not, because Tea didn't care. Ignore the hurt at that idea, ignore it...
"Ne~e...Te~ea..." he slid up beside the assisstant, letting none of his worriesfearsaxieties show on his face, though it may have flickered breifly through his eyes. "Does that mean you don't want to lead me around to places?" Oh, he knew that was exactly what Tea was saying, but if the guy would just admit it then Zix would be willing to just go and stop bothering Tea anymore.

Zix was a dead man.
Because i was his fault that everything had spiraled off in this new unwanted direction, his fault that Zanis had kissed him and Butter had gotten all..all not zombie --which wasn't a bad thing, it made Butter special-- and it was his fault that Zanis was feeling funny and everything was Zix's fault and he was dead when Zanis got his hand on him. Dead! And there'd be no way for him to come back none, because Zanis would...would cut him into little pieces and spread the pieces out so he could never ever ever be ever revived so hah, he'd be gone and he wouldn't be able to ever do any mor edamage like this ever again...so hah!
In a flashflicker, he was in front of Butter, leaning down so their noses almost touched. And so what if his scales were still rippling across his neck or his hands were still shaking slightly? Because Butter had said that and special thingspeople should never say that, not ever so he had to make it right no matter what else was happening to him he had to make it better he had to fix Butter because Butter was the most perfectest specialest best personthingzombiedoll Zanis had ever seen and he had to make it right...
Carefully, his shakingtrembling --why?-- hand slid over Butter's, slender fingers wrapping around colddead fist, and there was the faintest murmurwhisper of a heartbeat there and it was wrong but it was right bcause Butter was special so it was okay to be different than everythingeveryone else.
His other hand slidslitheredtwined in Butter's hair, gripping the strands slighttightly and pulling the zombie head back so he was looking at Zanis, so Zanis could say it and make Butter see it was wrong Butter wasn't useless Butter was special and perfect--
"I never said that." The words were shortclippedharsh with a twinge of desperation in there, because Zanis didn't want to lose Butter. Butter was perfect and special and definately not useless and he should never think he was and butter shouldn't just assume things because they were wrong...!
That said --Butter had to understand-- he leaned foreward, crashing their lips together with a lot less grace than the other kisses had been because Butter needed to know, he needed to understand that Butter may be useless to everyone else but Zanis never said that and didn't think that and he had to get it because even if it hurt it was a good not-useless sort of hurt right?
Because Zanis didn't kiss people like this if they were useless.

Oh, good. Zix had stopped spinning.
Which meant that there would be less people staring at them. Which was good. Tea didn't hadn't ever liked being conspicuous. Standing out in a crowd didn't exactly help with.. well, anything in around here. You could wake up to find yourself strapped to a surgery table with wires sticking out of you and bits and pieces of nastiness attached to your forehead or something..
No, Tea much much preferred to keep all his body in one piece, thank you. And no extra bits.
Zix was still chatting though. Seriously, was the other male on something or what? That was another thing Tea didn't marginally like about the other. Among about hundreds of other things. Chatting aimlessly was.. just.. annoying. That's what his relatives did. Chatting aimlessly, eat, chat. It was stupid and time-consuming and pointless.
Besides, it wasn't like they'll be anything more than a cold sort of acquaintances. Tea would end up stabbing the necromancer to death, and he didn't want to ruin his life just for the extermination of one major huge annoyance in his life, however inviting the prospect sounded.
Contemplating this dismal prospect --kill Zix and go to jail for life, or not kill him and endure all the chatting?-- the assistant merely shot the necromancer another one of 'the Look's again, clenching the keys tightly in one fist and forcing himself to walk in a merely I-don't-care sort of stance. Because he wasn't wanting to get to cafeteria fast, wasn't. Even though that would mean less time spent with Zix, he was polite and he wouldn’t hurry because he didn't care.
"You sound like you are starving half the time." Which.. could just well be true.. if.. he was talking about.. eating --or rather, chewing on leather.. or.. or something.. Tea decided to ignore it, for the moment. It just won't do to speculate or waste his time even thinking anything about Zix. Who just happened to slide up right beside him and whine out his name and it was everything was annoying and his name shouldn't be whined out like that.
He kindofmaybe noticed the flickersomething in the necromancer's eyes though, and snapped his mouth shut --what was he going to say he couldn’t remember really because that something was totally distracting and he hated it hated being distracted didn't like Zix-- turning his head away irritably for a bit because it was distracting and.. and he didn't like it.
"I can't keep hanging around you for ever." And don't expect me to, was the darkpissy sort of glare that was returned into the other's eyes, though there was considerably less sort of venom 'I'll-kill-you' in the glare. "You should learn to find your way around to cafeteria alone, at least."

"I have wings too!" The reptilian chirped brightly, swaying their lockedclasped hands together a little in a kind of happy-bouncy-happy sort of movement because there was glittershiny stuff everywhere and Elis liked glittershiny stuff being everywhere and Chou had made everywhere glittershiny so.. so Chou was good and.. and it was just really overall awesome goodness all around and he was happyhappyhappyhappy! And Chou-chan had wings that were all so very prettyprettypink with glitter puffing out and it was good and--
Wings.
His face fell slightly at the reminder, though it didn't really stop the 'happy-glitter-happy' shakingswaying of their hands, nor go any further than a flickerrunningthrough his dark jade coloured eyes. Yeah, that wasright; he had forgotten. He..
"But.. I don't have mine anymore." Because they were scared he would run away and it all happened so fast and it had been so long ago that he didn't know how to stop them from doing that and he had been young --still young, but..it was either grow up faster or die-- and.. and it had hurt..!
"Waa! Thank you! Nobody had ever said they were pretty before!" Bright and quicker than lightning, the reptilian brightened again, the darkdarkbad thoughts pushed again to the edge of his mind as his eyes caught sight of the glowysparkly butterflyness catching the light from the ceiling and shining in a million gazzilion different prettyful colours and it was all so veryveryvery awesomeprettygood..!
"They're all the way down my back too, and here!" The free hand, fingers splayed and displaying the intricate twirlswirl of dark greenness was shown towards the butterflypersonshinyprettyglitter, another quick flash of fangs as Elis grinnedsmiled happily. "Some people have different colours, but I really like green so it's really good. Cuz it's green!"

There was a heavy thump sort of sound as Zix forgot to regulate his footsteps and landed too heavily, a look of appaled hurt sort of feeling sliding across his face. Then it was gone, and his steps were light again.
So that was how it was. Tea couldn't keep him, so Tea didn't want him. God, would the man just say that then? Zix was more than willing to just vanish if Tea would just say it and stop with these 'I-hate-you-but-you-can't-go' sort of comments.
He gave Tea a sly, crooked sort of grin, apparently already completely recovered from that invisible blow. "You've never lived on the streets, have you? Let me tell yu, being a necromancer is not the most profitable job, especially when you look like you've just been dragged through mud. I think I nearly starved to death four times in three years running."
Course, come to think of it, those, what, four, five years with Zanis had probably been the best of his life. Because noone gave anything to a bedraggled necromancer who could barely walk he was so hungry, but people always gave stuff to Zanis, because Zanis had that...that air that said he would do slow and painful things until you were dead if you didn't give him what he wanted, free of charge.
People listened to airs like that.
But he just shrugged, like starving to death a few times was no big deal.
"But I suppose I should find the cafeteria here. It'd just be sad to starve to death in an organization." It really would. They had meals every day for the doctors and assisstants. How would it be possible to starve to death? It's just be really really pathetic.

A soft breathy shiversomething involuntarily went though the zombie--but he wasn't, not anymore, because he felt and zombies he could feel were useless so he wasn't needed wasn't wanted so maybe it was it would be good if he just went back to sleep and never woke up again and just stay dead so.. so he wouldn't feel this painburningthing wouldn't feel anything and he would be perfect because then he wouldn't feel just like all the others and.. and he wouldn't feel quite so hopelessuselesspained like he was feeling now.
Which he shouldn't be feeling because he shouldn't be feeling anything and feeling anything feeling so.. so uselesshelplessbad was just wrong and he shouldn't feel he didn't want to feel because feelings always always hurt but even more so now than before because Zanis didn't care and.. and so Butter was nothing wanted to be nothing and never ever feel anything ever again..!
He had to blink though, an involuntary reaction at the sudden movementblurring of Zanis' bodyshapethingeyes and then they were closecloser, Zanis was closer the goldenyellow eyes were closer the dark scales over creamy skin slidingripplingbeautifully and the warmhot breath on his face and it was really close they were really close again and it all happened so fast too fast and he wasn't sure if it was right for someone to be able to move that fast, but it was Zanis and.. and everything was alright with Zanis even though it hurt burningstabbing pain inside but it was still alright because it was Zanis and--
And there was that flickerflash of the tinglyoldnew pain that hurt yet didn't hurt burning its way intoover his hand and it was so different from the stabbinghurtinghurting feeling inside his chest and..and somehowsovery comforting because the tingly feeling only increased more at the feel of Zanis' fingerswarmth against his deadcoldness against his hair tuggingpulling at it and.. and who cared if his flesh swelled up redrawhurting? It.. it hurt, but it was also feeling sosososovery good and.. and this hurting, this hurting was infinitely better than the pain inside him so Butter was willing to getgive anything, because.. simply because this hurt less..
"Different.." Butter breathed out at the same time as the dark snake's, the words sortof kindof merging together echoing twining inside his head inside his mind and it was so wrong to feel, so wrong to feel different but at the same time it was alright, everything was okay this was okay it was okay to feel, because.. because Zanis said he cared he said it and.. and Butter didn't quite know what kind of tonesomething was flickering inside Zanis' voiceeyesfacetouchtrembling but.. but he had said it so.. so it would be okay, right..?
And because it was alright, it was.. it was okay if Butter kindofsomehowmaybe leant into the kiss harshharddesperatehard, right? It was okay if he just let the other hand twinetangle into the other's darkprettysoft hair much in the same way as his hand was tangled around Butter's hair, right? Because.. because it was hurting, but it was a good sort of painhurtingburning and.. and it was better so much sososomuch better than.. than the burninghurting hurting..

Wings? Elisperson had wings too? Waa, that was so cool! Chou had never met anyone else who had wings before! And....and it was good and cool and just...just cool and--
A slightly horrified expressed made it's way across Chou's face at the next words. Didn't have them anymore? How could you not have your wings anymore? Chou couldn't even imagine something so...so bad. Even if he couldn't fly, Chou's wings were a part of Chou, and it would be so bad if he didn't have them anymore and it must be bad for Elisperson too because he didn't have his wings anymore so--
Just as fast as Elis, Chou went back to happy-happy mode, swinging his hands with Elis'. Because if Elis wasn't sadbadhurt anymore and there was just the flickerflashhurtpain in his eyes but it was gone then it was all okay and he didn't have to worry because if Elis wasn't sadworried then Chou didn't have to be either.
His other hand reached out, clapsing around the splayed pretty green markyfingerness and inspected the other's hand like one would a prettyinteresting bug. "Kireina....!" he breathed, turning Elis' hand first one way then the other, the pretty greeny marky marks catching in the light and glimmering all over with glitterdust and it was pretty...
The faerie glanced up jsut in time to catch another glimpse of the cool cool uber cool pointy sharp sort of teeth, and sent his own smile out in return. "Green is a very good color. I like green to. And...and red. Red is a good color. And pink!" His eyes went back down to the prettygreenmarky hand in one of his own, and Elis' other hand around his other hand, and happily began swinging them both.
"Nenene, Eliiiiis...what are you going to dooo with my glitter?" Because Chou had always been curious about that the people who swept his glitter up did with it, and Elis had been sweeping his glitter up so Elis would know. And it was a wonder just what a person could do with glittery rainbow goodness. Maybe they wanted it because they couldn't make any theirselves so they had to take Chou's....?

Tea had caught that. He had so so definitely did.
The tanned male appeared to barely spare a glance over at the sound of heavy thump --my god, doesn't he even wear proper shoes with normal soles?-- and merely walked down the corridor, his own shoes hardly making any noise on the floor beneath them. Though.. though he could't help glancing just oh-so-discreetly over. Just once, no more.
But he had heard it, had seen the weirdstrangewhy something sort of close to hurt flashing across the other's face and it was so fast so he would almost have missed it if he hadn't glanced at that momentsecond because it was so fast but it was there and.. and why was he feeling so bad about it?
"It would be your fault for choosing such a profession, I believe." The male replied blandlydryly, a vague sort of wondering sort of disconcerting feel somehow echoingpooling inside his stomach as he glanced again, more fully, at Zix, looking closely but finding no more of that disturbingconfusing sort of hurt on the necromancer's face again. Was Tea just imagining it? But why would he? And.. and if it was really there, why would Zix look so hurt at whatever Tea said? Why? And why the hell was he even thinking about it?
Because he shouldn't even be thinking about the mental or physical welfare of people he hated.
He shouldn't even be accompanying them down the corridors, either.
But Tea was.
And would this stupidstupid feeling guiltthingwhatever just go away?!
"--But the office would be closed till the day after tomorrow." Tea muttered, more to himself than to the necromancer beside him, though his voice was loud enough to be heard by the other male. He didn't even spare a glance over at the other; it was so very confusingdisturbingdisconcerting and the stupid feelingthing was still there in his gut and.. and he didn't like it and wanted it to go away..! "So I guess I'm stuck with you, for the time being."

He had to.
Butter just had to, he had to see had to understand had to just get it because Zanis couldn't lose Butter, he couldn't. He didnt know why there was such a desperate sort of feeling inside him, but it was there, and Butter was specialdifferentpreciousperfect and Zanis hadn't ever never ever metseen anyone like him befre ever and so he ahd to keep Butter here and make him understand that Butter wasn't useless. Because useless things weren't wanted, and even if the whole rest of the world tossed Butter aside, Zanis would still want him forever and ever and ever because Butter was everything he always been searching for.
And he would never let that go. Not never ever, not even for Zix, hard as that would be. Because there was still that pull, there would always be that pull and it would never vanish, Zanis knew that. Those feelings for Zix would just linger in his core until the necromancer wandered by and it was unleashed, and it would be hard because the feelings were so strong but...but Zix wasn't Butter.
That was the whole point. Zix wasn't Butter could never be Butter because there was noonenothing like Butter. Butter was special one-of-a-kind and one-of-a-kind things were precious and had to be treasured forever. And Zix was...well...yeah, Zix was kind of one-of-a-kind too, because there was noone like Zix, but Zix wasn't precious like Butter. Zix was...Zix had been jsut a means of release, and that was it, and now Zix had his riffraff and Zanis had Butter and they didn't need each other, no matter what that annoying pulltug feelings claimed.
He smirked slightly into the kiss. Wouldn't it be great if whoever sent Butter here came back and found Butter still here? He would love to see the look on their faces. Because everyone knows that Zanis did one thing and one thing only, and he was very good at it. so it would jsut be hilarious to see the look on the personfigure's face right before Zanis went and killed him. Because whoever-it-was needed to die just like Zix needed to die because they were wrong and just made things icky and they hurt Butter. Somehow. They hurt him somehow.
It was a little curious to the snake just why he was so intent on killing whoever hurt Butter, because he'd never felt like that before, not even for Kiba or Zix, but he didn't dwell on it too long. Worse came to worse, he could ask Zix. Through the phone, because face-to-face was just so...risky. But Zix knew all about those different emotion things, so he'd probably know what this one was. And if he didn't...well, there were plently of living assisstant people who would be more than willing to explain it to Zanis.
With a little...'persuasion', of course.
Eyes lidding halfway, Zanis slowlycarefully turned the kiss a little less harsh. It still had that same desperate kind of feeling behind it, but it wasn't so...so crushing anymore, mostly because his teeth were still all long and pointy and he didn't want to pierce his lip while kissing Butter because that would jst be rather stupid on all accounts.

Zix pursed his lips, locking his hands up behind his head and thinking it over. Good thing Tea hadn't noticed, then. It could be counted as a misstep or something, and nothing else, because really, why would Tea's words matter to Zix?
God, if only Tea knew...
"Saa...not really." He shrugged slightly, giving the assisstant a sort of sideways look. "I an actually incmpetant ina ny other job profession. If I wanted any sort of job at all, I had to be a necromancer."
He wasn't about to go into the horrors those first few working years had wrought. In a week, he had been fired from thirteen different jobs, and that record had stayed on for months until he got a job at a mortuary and accidentally made the deceased jerk upright during the funeral --much to the horror of the visitors and the chagrin of his mother.
Stupid hag. She had known and she hadn't even bothered to drop a hint. Here he was, striking out on his own for the first time and starving and she didn't even think to mention that, oh yeah, guess what, Zix can raise dead people! God, what a loving mother she was, ne?
His face actually brightened somewhat at Tea's muttered words. Okay, so what if Tea was only letting him stay because the office was closed and he couldn't get a map? So what? The point was that Tea wasn't sending him away by giving him a map.
That was good. It was just a little more time not alone.
Besides, despite his snarky little irritated personality...Zix rather liked being around Tea.

It was different.
Mostly because he had never ever wanted to do anything before, nobody had ever asked if he wanted to do something nobody had ever cared to ask nobody never ever because.. because it didn't matter, Butter didn't matter and it was always 'bring that zombie' and a few days relapse while the cutsburnswounds healed that few precious days of coolcoldsleepingdarkness where everything just kindof meltedfaded away back into coolcolddeadness and it was repeated all over again and even though the burns were only a little and it hadn't really hurt hadn't been anything at all it.. it was still nothing, still nothing noone at all hollow and empty and it was everything was the same.
Except now it wasn't.
It was sososovery different with Zanis.
Because Zanis had asked him what he wanted, Zanis had asked him and if you asked someone what they wanted it was to someone not to noone and.. and that was different sososomuch different from anyone else everyone else Zanis was different and it somehow made a lot of sense because Zanis' touches were different too, different in the way the fingertipslipshands burned across the deadpale skin, different in the way the dark snake's lips felt on his over his somethingsomethingdesperateness flashingflickering in the feel of his lips feel of his fingershands woundwrapped around Butter's own hand hair and it was different, and.. and that made Zanis and Zanis' touches just that much more special..!
Because Zanis made Butter feel like a something and not a nothing noone nobody useless nothingdeadcoldcreaturething.
And even though it was so strange, so new so scary because noone else had ever made him feel not like a nothing before, it was.. it was still good, and.. and Zanis made Butter feel goodhurtinggoodway and.. and that just seemed right even though it shouldn't. Maybe. Somehow. Maybe..
Almost somehow automatically, like his limbs weren't really controlled by his mind anymore and they were just left free to their own devices, his hand let go of the tighttight white-knuckle grip on his shirt and instead came to twine around the slenderwarmburningtingly fingerstouches of Zanis' hand, the skin of his palmfingers stinging briefly and making the paleblank eyes flicker a little, but it was a good differentpain that made him something and notnothing and.. and so he couldn’t let go of Zanis. Not now.
A soft tug on the dark hair and the zombie pulledpressed closer, almost gasping at all the heatwarmthhotness of the other --he had forgotten almost forgotten how good it felt-- but feeling the sparklytingliness just shooting up his spine at the same time as the warmthburningness and it was all so very different..!

Tea did not like being around Zix.
Firstly, ever since they first met a few hours?minutes?whatever-- ago, Zix had done nothing but getting on Tea's nerves and he didn't know why. It was like.. it was like the necromancer just breathed and that alone was annoying to the assistant. He had never ever felt so goddamn worked up annoyed about one single person before. Ever. A group of people, yes. A few people, even, yes. But never ever a single one personthing. They couldn't possibly generate this much aurabubble of annoyingness that got onto Tea's nerves this much.
Except for maybe Yamagawa. But he didn't count because they werehadbeenmaybe.. there had been bad things and he didn't want to even think about it because.. because it was bad so veryveryvery baaaaaad and Tea never liked thinking about badannoying things and the feeling of badickyness, the grinvoicetalkingannoyingbeingness it was all same and--
His step faltered slightly, and the tanned male gave the necromancer a sortofmaybe surprisedsomething sort of look, the dark eyes unreadabledarksomethingflicker over Zix's faceeyes and it was the same. Maybe a little different, because Zix hadn't had this kind of darkwhateverthing that.. that Yamagawa had, Tea couldn’t feel the darkwhatever thing in Zix like he could on Yamagawa but apart from that the grinningtwinklewhateversomethingsomething sort of feel it was almost the same and..
"--You remind me of someone." The male finally muttered, hastilyjerkily averting his eyes away from the necromancer, the somethingnothingit's-the-sameflicker still flashing through the dark eyes. And.. and he was. And he shouldn't because then it was all the more reason to avoidrunaway from the other male and it was such a bother and.. and why did they have to be so similarsame?!

Zix blinked, the falterstep not going past him, and blinked again at the sort of startled kind of look Tea shot him. Why? Was it something he said? Had he said something to make Tea surprised? Mentally, he reviewed over what he had just said, every word flicking through his mind, and...couldn't think of anything that might earn a look like that. So then...then what was it?
And then there was that flicker, that dart of something across Tea's eyes, and Zix knew it because he had had that flash when he he had looked at Tea, and it had been that same-but-not feeling. The feeling that Tea was just like Zanis but was also not because there was just that slight twinge of difference. And truthfully...Zix wasn't sure if he liked that, knowing that someone thought he was the same as someone else.
Course, that could very well be what Tea had felt earlier...
"...someone...?" Well...remind Tea of someone had to be better than reminding Tea of noone, right? Because...because someones were always --almost always-- better than noones, so...so it was maybe a good thing, right? He couldn't think of anyone who wanted to be remind someone else of a noone. That would just mean that they were a noone, so if Zix reminded Tea of someone, then...then it was good, right? So long as Zix didn't remind Tea of noone, because that would mean that Zix was noonenothing and that would be baaad...
He paused for a heartbeat, bringing his hands down and shoving them in his pocket, eyes skimming over the Italian's turned back. "Is that a good thing?" he asked, in all seriousness, a maybeworriedlittlefrown crossing his face. If Zix reminded Tea of someone and it was a good thing then it wasn't a problem.
"Or is it a bad thing?" But what if it wasn't a good thing? What if it wasn't a good thing at all? What if...what if Zix reminded Tea of someone bad? That would mean that Zix would always remind tea of that someone bad and it...it jsut wouldn't be good it wouldn't because if it was bad then Tea would look at Zix and see bad even if Zix didn't do anything bad to Tea and...and it wouldn't be good not at all..
