((Bayer, if I deleted it, it's because it was retarded.... I don't even remember it any more.

And Shadowmen are the pretty standard Cabal method of character removal...

Or, y'know.

Getting your method of transportation shredded by an Angelship.

Why are there Shadowmen in BD again?))

((It basically said "NATHAN WUZ HERE" but not so childishly.

And that means my character will totally be responsible for cleaning out characters, thus being one of the few actual characters to make PC kills!))

((The Shadowmen are now here to punish non-posters.
Bayer: No. I will do that.))

((Until tomorrow morning, then.))

((*sigh* And here it comes.))

Everyone that didn't post was killed on the missions. During the mission, Nathan managed to synchronize with and acquire a new Sticker: Medusa. Their mission went off without a hitch. Blazer Black had a much harder time.
Blazer Black lost almost all of its members, since they had to disappear into the city in order to survive their mission. They were all MIA except for Anatoly, who managed to limp back to base.
However, both teams returned to find the same sight: their bases were on fire, everybody gone from them and the area around totally destroyed.

Anatoly slumped against a wall.

"What the ********," he hissed. "What the ********>" He sat for several minutes. Most of his things were in the safe deposit box he'd paid for weeks ago, so he didn't have much to lose in the way of possessions. Still, he felt an obligation to his "team" and approached the base, despite all of his instincts screaming out against it.

There was a huge scorch mark across the ground, edging a crater, as though a gigantic meteor had crashed into the ground. There was blood - some dried, some fresh - all over the ground.
The walls were still standing; maybe he should try the door.

Anatoly pressed a gloved hand to the blood, pulling away suddenly as the sticky wetness penetrated the thin cloth. He clenched his fist, breathing in sharply. He wiped his finger on a patch of drier ground. He stepped cautiously over to the door and attempted to enter.

The fires were mostly contained by now, having burned themselves into certain areas where there was more fuel.
Anatoly could make his way through most of the halls; only a few nonessential halls were collapsed so far.
He could gather no clues as yet, other than the blood and the scorch marks.

Anatoly recalled the map as well as he could; his first destination was the armory. He planned to loot Skulltap, an Ice Mysticker of at least Level 2, and whatever else of interest he could find, if there was anything left. He primed his Ice 1 in case he needed to use it for anything.

Next, he planned to progress to the Lead Division's quarters, followed by the other quarters and the maintenance areas.

Anatoly got his first huge shock when he reached the Armory: it was stripped clean, all the way. 100%, no Stickers in sight. After a few stunned seconds, Anatoly hurried on.
He reached the Lead Division area. Unfortunately, the Crew's paranoia was still in effect, and the doors were locked so securely that Anatoly could not get in. He could get into the office, however, and made is way behind Stark's desk.
There were cinders, papers, and little splashed of blood on the floor. There was no way to tell what had happened. However, Anatoly's sharp eye caught on a single scrap of paper that fluttered from where it was trapped underneath one of the desk's legs. He bent and picked it up, and it was covered in a more hurried version of Stark's handwriting. It read:

Ju--ment, he came ba--
Hurry, no ti--
Find t-e b-s- of the -os-

Some of the writing was obscured by blood and ash. Anatoly could make no more of it and stuck it in his pocket. He headed around the base, but it appeared that he was the only one there. There were no clues to be found.

"Ju... Judgment? That'd be, 'Judgment, he came... back...' Then, "Hurry, no time, find the best of the... hmmm..."

He sighed and sat atop Stark's desk for a moment. "Wonder if there are any weapons around."

He scoured the base for guns, and barring that, anything more threatening than the now immensely inadequate-feeling Letter Opener of Doom. After that, he intended to head to the garage.

Anatoly found a series of useless items, until he came upon a treasure trove: the kitchen's knife store.
He had the option of scouring the entire base for a better weapon, which would take hours and guaranteed no result, or he could take a knife.

Deciding to upgrade without abandoning his faithful LOoD, Anatoly grabbed a hefty cleaver and made his way to the garage. From there, his first priority was to get away from the base before it attracted police attention.

Anatoly found a nondescript hoverSUV and got out as sirens were heard in the distance.
Now, he had to make a choice.

"Step one, safe deposit box," Anatoly muttered. He pulled into the bank, leaving his slightly-bloody gloves and meat cleaver beneath his seat. He entered the bank. Before Anatoly spoke to the bank's employees, he made a copy of Stark's note as best as he could. He left it in his box and picked up a small stash of money he'd left in it.

I can't go to the government. I don't trust them. Blazer Black no longer exists, so far as I can see, but Stark is a resilient one and there were no bodies; they might be in hiding. Or I could run to the Guardians, but I don't know where they are.

So how do I find Stark?
