You should raise more hell. They sold you a game with an already used key, so it could be their fault. Gamestop sells games as "new" when they've been played, and this could be a case of that.
I hate game stop to death. They sold David a disk that didn't work and then wouldn't give him a refund because they claimed he switched the disks out, they tried to keep my money and not give me my game during the Brawl release, they tried to ******** me out of Champions online, they lied to me to my face about the MH Tri thing not being a pre order thing, and one of the guys there sexually harassed my friend, she complained about it, and he is still working there.

If I ever make a game studio I am gonna make sure our games cannot be sold by their stores. New or used.

Not today, but maybe if they pull on me tomorrow when I buy SoulSilver.

What also pisses me off is GameStop's stupid return policy, or the return policy on PC games in general:

GameSwindlers Reciept
UNOPENED new merchandise may be returned for a refund or exchanged within 30 days of purchase

"Unopened"...meaning "O hai, guess wut, if u open dis to make sure there's no problem wit it, you can't get refund. Durr hurr, we screw u." How do I know if the game truly works on my computer or if it's even in proper condition? Oh, I guess the only way to find out is to be a ******** sucker and open it, voiding the refund policy.

GameSwindlers Reciept
Opened new merchandise may be exchanged for the identical item within 30 days of purchase bu...cannot be returned for a refund.

If it doesn't work on my computer, then what's the ******** point of exchanging it for an identical product? I'm just getting a different copy of the same game. It's still not going to work on my computer! What am I supposed to do? Live with my wasted money? ******** YOU, CAPITALISM.

Don't buy soulsilver from gamestop. Get a refund for your preorder and get it from K mart or something. I beg you.

I haven't had an issue with buying DS games from them ever, so I trust them on that. I'm still going to cautious with them on that, though.

It's the CD formatted games they sell I have an issue with.

Every purchase you make there supports the company no matter what console. Please don't feed the beast. Just get is somewhere else please.

I'm getting SoulSilver from them anyway. I'm not risking not getting a chance to get it the day it comes out by taking off a reservation.

However, if they try to screw me over one more time, then that's it. I'm done with them. They're really pushing me.

The most recent attempt to rip-me off before this was back in 2009 when I tried to sell a few games, including Moon. When the sell-back price was so low, they told me it was because all the games are more than 5 years old.

....Moon is only barely a year old.

EDIT: Oh, and don't even get me started on GameInformer.

Gamestop can be a bunch of turds. Idiots that don't know anything about anything work there and just spew pro-PS3 dribble at me every time I walk in and Game Informer is a piece of s**t. They give you not even 10% of just about any game you take in, and then sell it for five dollars off. I haven't had much trouble with them other than that though.

But they have been reported for getting games early, the employees getting copies and playing them and then putting them up as new again.

I don't like to support them but I want a job there so I can correct them all the time as opposed to when I stop in to look at cheap old GameCube and DS games.

Yeah, same here. I want to work there for that reason too.

Let's start a revolution!

I went to a different one in the cities awhile back and this guy was asking about a specific 360 game, to which the employee said "Oh don't even bother with that, the PS3 is going to take the lead and leave Microsoft in the dust" or something along those lines. LIke, wtf? First of all, no, you're wrong, and secondly, that's not what he wants. He doesn't want your opinion on the console race, he wants to know about a certain game.

The bigger stupidity of Gamestop I've experienced lately was the aforementioned deal with selling Moon.

And later that day we went to another one out there and as I was looking at Wii games a weird, creepy guy picked up Red Steel and asked the guy behind the counter what kind of game it was, referring to genre. The guy behind the counter immediately said that it was a bad game and just started to tear it down. Creepy guy asked if it was a slasher (which, I don't even know what that would mean) or what, and the guy just kept saying that it was bad.

So I stepped up and said that it was a first person shooter with sword fighting elements inbetween. It came out at Wii's launch and didn't do well in reviews because people built it up to be something it wasn't, as they did the Wii Remote, but it was still a fun game. Then I turned and looked at the worker and he said "Well that was just what I had read. That it was bad." And he looked like a f*****t.
