And of course, there's always the giant female reproductive organ which shinji gets sucked into.... and everyone in the world turns to liquid.... and now that I think about it, it is almost as wierd....
But the evas 6-12 were pretty neat... Although nobody seems to want to put it on youtube anymore..

I meant the episodes of Eva.
In fact I'm not interested in seeing the OVAs either.

Original Animated Video = OAV.
Eggs produced by a female = ova.
Anyways, a james bond crossover with Gundam would be most interesting... Instead of a car, a gundam...

Nelowulf Well duh. Its definately christian. But at least the one thing I found intriguing is despite all the references, the aspect of religeon itself is almost never touched upon. Plus, you have to see Askua get choked to death by shinji. She actually doesn't die from this. It never implies that she is killed from the choking at the end. Oh and Evangelion is one of my favorite anime. IN reference to religion, it is more than just Christianity that is referenced, there are many references to the Jewish Kabbalah in the show as well.

You never read the script, did you? Didn't think so. Shinji does let her go, but I doubt that in animation with a wrinkled neck like she had that the implication was that he was just playing around. When skin is protruding through his fingers, its not because of fun. Perhaps its just my copy of it, but it really does seem like he gave it a good wringing.

You're the first person I have heard who believes she was dead.

Do you read Newtype?
You'll find that there's a lot of strong feeling in the Toei company which at least tries to hint that the message was supposed to be death. At least, that's what their phrasing suggests....
Now in Revival of Evangelion, its a different story, and with the upcoming Rebuild of Evangelion, they're changing everythign.
Plus there's that live action one supposed to be out between 2008-2015, and who knows what they'll do with that....

I'm excited about the live action movie, what with WETA doing the EVA designs and special effects. Not a better special effects company out their in my opinion. Also the new movies sound cool as well. I am not impressed with Newtype.
