Baizou was frozen for several moments as he looked at his wife. She was so... different. "Hey, love." He greeted with a growing smile. He slid his arms around her and hugged her in greeting. "I was worried about you." He murmured, kissing the top of her head. He reached around to touch her hair and caress her face, "You look pretty this evening. May I ask the occasion?"

"could I have some apple juice?" Arlen asked, lloking up at Baizou and then turning to look at Ellie's entrance.

"Oh? Is there one?" she asked, smile staying, as her arms wrapped around him for a moment, and her lips landed a chaste kiss to his cheek, and her own turning pink. She smelt of vanilla, but, when thought about for a long time... One might conclude that she also smelt of cinnamon, but, only as an underlying sort of thing. Her eyes were kind and happy, as she nuzzled into her husband's neck, head finding where it fit best, in the crook of his neck, as her hands wrapped around his back, and fingers rubbed right where she always knew his back to be most tender, and most glad to be rubbed.

Baizou shrugged and leaned into Ellie's touch with a content smile. He seemed to hear Arlen's request and perked his ears. "Ah! Right!" He said, slowly pulling away from his wife with an apologetic smile. "Just out of curiosity," He began as he pulled the apple juice from the fridge. He poured a glass and handed it to Arlen, "Here you go." He said, walking back to Ellie. "What made you visit home. Not that I mind. I was just wondering."

"Thank you," Arlen said, taking the glass and walking over to the sofa to drink it.

After Ellie returned to resting her head on his shoulder again, in an almost teenager like way, she smiled contently. "Mother asked me to come out, and it turned out that it was something that was not near worth worrying over, just time consuming." She said, soft, alto voice seeming to float through the air with enunciation and happiness. Something unseen by the naked eye was perhaps her soul's slight difference, as now it did not seem to gush out of every part of her body, but, was contained and compressed. This, in turn, made it almost seem to be neater, as if it too were tidied up. At all of this, Ever just seemed to simply roll his eyes behind his sister's back.

Baizou attempted to wrap his arms around her, but slowly let them slide back down to his sides, "Something is different." He said slowly with a small frown. Something was missing from her hug. Something huge. He glanced up at Ever and seemed to read his expression. Yes, something was definitely wrong. "Elisan... it feels like you are holding something in." He said seriously.

"Baizou, you are being silly." She replied, pulling back, face looking as though she'd been heartbroken, as her emotions seemed to explain like she felt so. Hurt eyes trying to understand his face, she shook her head. If anything, her soul was more compressed, and intense than before. Just, closer, and more compact. "I love you..." she murmured, biting one of her lips, as she stepped closer to him again, a smile tugging at her lips.

Baizou stared at her for a few more moments before pulling her close again. "Oh love." He murmured, feeling her hurt stab at his heart. "Come here." He pulled her into one of his warmer hugs. "I love you, too... I just... Was surprised." He admitted giving her a small smile. He decided to turn it into something fun, "Dahliiing. Have you done something with your soul? It looks faaaabulous." He teased in a slightly flamboyant tone. He kissed the top of her head, "Ooh! How about some potstickers! They are easy enough to make that I doubt I would mess them up." He suggested, tail wagging.

Ellie laughed, in a feminine, and girly way. Shaking her head as she drew back, her hand patted his knee. "No, no! Let me cook them. I'm sure you've worried yourself sick, need to relax, and would burn them trying to keep your eyes on me." she teased, before landing another quick peck to his cheek, before heading around the bar. "They'll not take too long!" she called over her shoulder, voice floating over to them. Ever's facial expression would have lead someone to believe that something she had just said was forcefully shoved through his ear, or was completely and utterly vile.

"Oh! If you do not mind." Baizou said, grabbing his potion and continuing to mix it as he walked back out and sat down next to Ever. Once Ellie was well out of hearing range, he pointed to the direction of his wife with one of those what-the-hell expressions one would usually wear after watching someone swallow live lobsters whole. "I cannot pin what is off, but you seem to have an idea. Care to enlighten me?" He asked, tail wrapping around the stool.

Maara stomped on down the stairs in red and white socks, her dress pockets full of crayons. She waved happily at everyone as she darted around the bar counter and pulled open her candy drawer (which Trina had refilled the night before) and chose a candy bar. Looking delighted, Maara darted around teh bar again and pulled herself up on the bar stool.
Trina came down the stairs silently after the cat girl, unnoticable in her wake. She looked content, a vague smile on her lips as she filled a water glass in the kitchen.

Baizou perked his ears and sat up strait. "Good evening, ladies!" He greeted in a cheerful tone. "Is there anything I can get either of you?" He asked, only barely noticing Trina as she attempted to slink down.

Arlen smiled and got up from the couch, carrying his half finished apple juice over to where Maara was sitting. "Hello Miss Maara," he greeted her, looking up a the girl.

"Mrklalsdf.." Murmured Ever quite inaudibly into his hand, eyes watching Baizou's hands. "Erm..grwlblenggr." Ever pointed to the door to the kitchen, casting a temporary muffling charm. "It's one of my parents things and it's not my place to tell you. It's her actions and her feelings, and she is still herself. Nothing is wrong, and sure, she's a little different, but, there was nothing lost today." Ever explained, in a quick, hurried tone. He pointed his finger at the door again, and suddenly, her voice floated across the barrier, in the middle of a line of something she'd been singing softly.
Ellie worked quickly, like a well oiled machine, mixing the dry ingredients, and voice carrying around the room softly. "Kaze ga yoseta kotoba ni oyoida kokoro kumo ga hakobu ashita ni hazunda koe." The song made Ellie smile, and the translation to English was rough on the music, thus, the words flowed perfectly with the music that played in her head. As though subconsciously, her hands made the perfect little gyoza, and the oil heated up in a pan behind her.
