Ever came down the stairs, midnight eyes a bit stormy. Spinning on his heel as he looked around the room, he might've gotten whiplash for the speed that his neck flipped around. Wings ruffled uncomfortably, Ever let out a sigh of complaint, as he headed to the bar. "Baizou. Are you down here?" he announced, voice loud enough to carry through the downstairs.

Trina came inside the bar, looking rather...baffled. She sat at her regular seat, ignoring Richard, who sat a few seats away, drinking from a rather large mug of tea. She knew...knew she had just run into Maara's father. But...he hadn't wanted anything to do with his child...why? What strangeness this was...
Richard offered Trina a smile, but she seemed distracted, so he merely continued with his book, quite content himself, drinking his tea in the silence.

Maara scrambled up from beneath a table so fast Trina jumped, but seemed relieved to see the cat girl. "Trina! You're back again!" The cat girl did a dance and went to her candy drawer, which Trina had refilled just yesterday. Maara chose a candy bar, and danced off into the kitchen.

Baizou walked in from the kitchen with what looked like a disgusting purple potion half mixed. He perked his ears and looked at Ever with a worried expression, "Hey, Ever. Is everything all right?" He asked, head tilted to the side as he set the odd concoction on the bartop.

Ever blinked once or twice. "You're not messing with magic again, are you now, brother-in-law?" With a smile that lasted only a moment, Ever continued. "Uh, yes. Has Ellie been around all day?" Midnight eyes were filled with worry, and an underlying sense of disgust traced his emotions, though indirectly.

Baizou shrugged, "I have been very bored and I have yet to work up the guts to actually try anything." He explained, pushing the potion aside. "I have not seen Ellie all day, no." He added, biting his lower lip. "I figured she went out on an errand, but I was starting to get a little worried." He murmured, looking at Ever. That phobic fear of losing her started to creep up his spine, seeming to toss adrenaline wherever it went like a fairy throwing flowers in a meadow. "You haven't seen her?"

"No, but, I have a very very strong hunch that I know where she went." Scowling slightly, Ever sat on the stool. "Eh, what's the clock? Err, she should be home fairly soon." he said, hands wrapping around each other. "Yes, yes. An errand." he added, seeing Baizou's worry out of the corner of his eye. Wings fluttering uncomfortably, Ever sighed, and rest his chin in his hand.

Arlen bounced his way downstairs. "Hello!" he greeted the two cheerfully as he made his way over to the counter.

"Shall I get you something while we wait?" Baizou asked, sitting down opposite Ever. "And, if it is not too much, would you mind telling me what my wife is up to?" He added as he looked down at his watch. "It is a little after 8:30." He said, looking back up at his brother-in-law. "I do believe there is something I am missing."

Ever hated it when Baizou made him feel guilty about his sister. It wasn't his fault! Bah, besides. It wasn't really a lie, anyways. "She went to see the family. Just a quick, one-day thing. She had to do it by herself, and a cup of cranberry juice and amaretto would be nice, if you're getting up." Explained Ever, looking to the door. Any moment now...

"Ah," Baizou said, nervous thoughts seeming to run through his shaking hands. "It is odd that she did not tell me." He murmured as he got to work on Ever's drink. After years of dealing with other people's emotions, Baizou was quite good at holding his in, but there were some days, like today, when it was extremely obvious what he was feeling. He handed Ever his drink and plopped back down on the barstool.

Arlen walked over to Baizou and tugged on his pants leg. "Could I have something to drink Mister?"

Baizou jumped a little at the sudden appearance of Arlen and nodded to him. "Of course!" He said, smiling a bit. "What did you want to drink?"

"Baizou, calm down. She is fine, and so is the family. They requested both of us, but, I had something very important.. to tend to.. Sort of. I just didn't want to go." Ever explained, with a small smile, suddenly feeling guilty for letting Elisan make her own decisions. Hell, he warned her! Apparently, it was what she wanted. Taking the drink, he sipped at it contently, and let out a small sigh as he watched the door with weary eyes.
Elisan herself pushed through the door, not glancing around the room before slipping out of her clean white shoes. Her wings were nearly reflective, the whitish feathers reflected an entire spectrum of colors, they were so trimmed and clean. They seemed fluffy enough to float upon, surely not to fly with. Her hair was tucked up, tied back in a very simple, yet very perfect tie, who's ribbons hung down, accenting the color of her hair quite nicely. Even this next part took Ever aback for a moment. For merlin's sake, she was wearing makeup! Not much, though. Nowhere near overpowering. Her eyelids were dusted with the barely noticeable tints of green, as well as lined with a thin line of black on the bottom. Lips pink and prominent, Ellie gave a very matured, content smile, as she slid her jacket off, and set it on the coat rack.
Walking over to her brother, and husband, she gave a small nod of greeting to both, before sidling aside Baizou. "Hello, Bai, dear. How was your day?" Her voice was clear and soft, just like she sang. Gods, it was worse than Ever thought.
