Kasiya returned Keegan's smile, feeling her heart skip a beat or two when he took her hand. She gave it a gentle squeeze and leaned her head against his shoulder as they walked. It was a little awkward, but comfortable, and for an instant Kasiya wished they could just lie down in the tall, soft grass together and gaze up at the sky all afternoon. It wasn't to be though, as Rosemary and Levi were in dire need of healing, as did Tierra, and possibly Artemis.
"So I guess that little winless streak is broken now, huh?" she said at one point, when the gates of Saffron were nearby. She could see that they were wide open, and the guards on duty were only watching people go through. The hype and fear that had engulfed the city since Mai's destructive attack had passed, and by now most things had returned to normal. She still fully intended to make her sister pay for the terrible things she'd done, not only the fiasco in Saffron, but the assault on Diglett's Cave, the theft of the Relic, and attacking her father as well. Kasiya had never hated anyone in her life until she met Mai, even though her first impression was that the Rocket Admin wasn't who she appeared to be. It was all a lie though, Kasiya thought grimly. But Mai is a monster, just like Giovanni and the rest of those Team Rocket scumbags.
They passed through Saffron's southern gate without incident, and without really thinking about it, Kasiya lead the way to the Pokemon Center. It was a bit more crowded in here though, and the duo would have to wait in line in order to give their Pokemon to Nurse Joy.

"Everybody goes through a slump every now and then," Keegan nodded. "But they don't usually last for too long, unless you let them." He knew Kasiya could be pretty good at beating herself up over things when she was down, but she didn't seem to be wallowing in her recent bought of not-so-good luck, which was a relief to him.
Saffron City was bustling and busy, as always, and Keegan was sure to stay close to Kasiya in order not to lose her in the constantly moving crowd of people. "Sure seems weird to be here in the city with all these people when just a while ago, it was quiet countryside," he commented as they made their way down a less crowded street and into the Pokemon Center. He sighed at the sight of the throng of people clustered around the front desk, and he was just able to spot a flash of pink hair and a cute nurse's hat. Nurse Joy was obviously very busy, and for a moment, Keegan contemplated taking Kasiya by the hand and leading her out of here, and just buying the proper healing items at the local Pokemon Mart. "Looks like it's going to be a while," he sighed, and did the only thing that either of them could do at a moment like that - wait.

Professor Elm listened carefully to Kilik's explanation all the while trying his best to think of an explanation for all of this. When he finished he stared off for a while as he thought before shaking his head. "I have no idea why your pokemon are using unknown attacks." He said with a frown before turning to Kilik with a little smile. "However that doesn't mean I wont help you out. There is a new Professor around who is studying some things like this. How about I give him a call and see if he knows anything about it?" Elm asked.
Robin looking up from examining her pokedex watched the two for a moment. Flipping the Pokedex shut and slipping it into her bag Robin picked up Luffy and made her way over to them. " Are you going to be calling Professor Rowan?" She asked.
Blinking in confusion Elm turned and face Robin. "How do you know Professor Rowan?"
"Oh well... I don't really know him... He just gave a speech at my school one time is all. I liked it so much I sorta started to email him occasionally is all. I haven't actually spoken to him face to face." She looked embarrassed as she explained that. "Anyway." She bravely pushed on despite her embarrassment. "A while ago he said he was going to some new land and that he won't be in contact for a while. I haven't heard from him since. Not that he would tell me anyway..." She trailed off.
"Well he must have just gotten back because he gave us all a call the other day. He said he had some big new's he was going to announce soon. Maybe these events are related?" Elm offered.

Kilik raised an eyebrow. Professor Rowan? Who was that? Elm seemed to know who he was and so did Robin. How could he not? He was the one who read books all the time before he got his Eevee. Why didn't he hear anything about this Professor Rowan? The boy nodded. "Fine by me. Professor Rowan, huh?" he looked up at the ceiling, "Sounds intimidating."
Elekid nearly fell off of Kilik's head when he felt it tilt back. The Pokemon clambered down onto the boy's shoulder and stood there, perched like a parrot for a pirate. "Ele, Ele!" he said excitedly. "Elekid Ele Elekid!" Kilik glanced over at his Pokemon and tapped him on the head lightly.
"So what're we waiting for Professor?" Kilik laughed, walking over to the video phone console, "Let's do this!" he sat on the desk next to the phone and crossed his arms, smiling brightly. Obviously, he was very excited.

"Come back again when you're not a pitiful excuse for a trainer," his cold voice sneered. His hawk-like eyes watched the defeated trainer exit the Gym in complete despair. Seeing that put a light smile on the leader's face. He turned his back on the arena and the window closed its mechanical shutters with a loud hiss. Giovanni took his seat behind his mahogany desk and placed his hands on the cool wood. Team Rocket, his illustrious organization, had been in a bit of a slump lately.
It seemed as if no progress had been made on the Relic, nothing new or exciting to steal has ever popped up and whenever it did, they were usually foiled by the same group of children. The thought of those children crossed his mind and his fists immediately tensed up. The veins throbbed with each beat of his cold heart. He could never sit still when it came to those kids. "At every turn, one of them is right there!" he snapped at no one. It echoed in his empty office. His thoughts turned back to a few days ago, when Mike and Kilik had visited his Gym to train. That hadn't lasted as long as he thought and his plan to lure the two of them into a false sense of security was never able to be put into action.
"This has gone on long enough," he stated, his hands now relaxing. His palms were pressed lightly against the desk, "Those children are making a mockery of Team Rocket. I am Giovanni! I am the greatest villain this world has ever known!" He stood up, clenching his fists once more. "By God, this Team shall no longer be the playthings of a bunch of duty-driven children!" He turned his attention towards the laboratory and stared down into it, sneering at the Relic. "They've already failed once anyhow, thanks to Mai. I shall see to it that more Rocket members like her take missions. Rocket members that are much too strong for those children to handle."
With that, Giovanni vanished into the darkness of the lab, the ghost of his chuckle still lingering in his office.

"Ah wait! On that phone call Professor Rowan also said not to disturb him for a few day's." Elm looked slightly embarrassed as he mentioned this. He wasn't going to interrupt that man on whatever he was doing though he was frightening. " Don't worry though I will still give him a call though if you want. Or if you would like I have a few extra invitation's to the speech he is giving I could always give you two them. That way you could ask him yourself."
Hearing the new's that she might be able to go see Professor Rowan speak again Robin immediately perked up. " Wow really?!" She was practically bouncing on her heels. " I don't know about you Kilik but I like want to hear Professor Rowan speak!" In her arm's Luffy was feeding off of her excitement and was squirming around his tail waving excitedly.
Backing away from Robin, this girl was a bit more scary then Rowan. "Uh yeah here here!" Elm backed away one hand shuffling around in his pocket to pull out two passes. Shoving them into both of there hands he quickly pushed him out of his lab. "It's in Slateport at the Museum! It is around the time of that big party that's going on." That all said he quickly shut the door on them.
For once not bothered by the rudeness of someone Robin held her pass excitedly happiness almost radiating off of her. "Wow can you believe it Kilik!? We get to hear Professor Rowan speak about something that is bound to be really important!" She exclaimed happily. Without even a warning she gave an excited squeal and dropping Luffy she grabbed Kilik in a big excited hug.

Kilik nearly dropped everything when Robin had hugged him. He patted her on the shoulder and laughed a bit. "Settle down there, Robin." The same time as that big party in Slateport? He remembered Mary-Ann had once mentioned the party to him and then Kasiya told him about it after that. He had nearly forgotten about it until just now.
"So Professor Rowan's going to be in the Hoenn region?" He glanced at the pass then put it in his pocket. Where was Professor Rowan from? Robin did say he was in some faraway region. Maybe that region had some very rare and exotic Pokemon. He closed his eyes and smiled. Images filled his mind of all sorts of new Pokemon for him to catch. Of course, they all looked rather silly in his head. A red monkey with a burning butt? A hot air balloon? Kilik never had the best imagination, it seemed. Yet in this crazy world we live in, anything is possible. After all, who would've thought a Pokemon could look like a plug? He glanced over at Elekid as he thought this and snickered.
"Well then. Since Elm's a bit too preoccupied to tell us about Rowan," he cleared his throat and grabbed up Flygon's Pokeball, "How about I take you back to Goldenrod City?" he smiled at her and spun the ball on his finger for a moment before catching it as it fell.

It was nearly forty minutes later by the time they were able to get their Pokemon to the nurse for treatment. Kasiya had suggested that she take Keegan's two Pokeballs and get their four Pokemon healed together in order to save a bit of time, and now they were waiting for their return. "I hope we won't be too late to catch the train," Kasiya said a bit worriedly as she reattached Rosemary and Levi's Pokeballs to her belt, and she made a move towards the Pokemon Center's sliding doors. "It's far too cramped in here..."
She breathed a deep sigh once she was back outside again, and she glanced around, attempting to get her bearings in order to find the correct way to get to the train. Making sure Keegan was still with her, she began to make her way north, stopping only to glance down the street where Saffron's gym lay. Her thoughts drifted back to Nina, and again she wondered how her friend had been since their battle a few days ago. Kilik's 'commentary' hadn't really helped Nina's confidence, and neither did the fact that Kasiya came away from the battle victorious. It'll all work out in the end, she thought, forcing herself to think happy thoughts. Maybe we'll all meet up again at the Beach Party, and it'll be like old times.

Calming down Robin laughed nervously not quite believing that she had just grabbed Kilik like that. "Back to Goldenrod?" She asked looking up at the pokeball that Kilik held. Remembering the Flygon she grinned, it would be really cool to ride on it. "All right, that sounds good to me." She grinned looking down at Luffy who was bouncing around on the ground. Seeing Hat though Robin frowned slightly, that would defiantly fly off on the ride there. "Umm hold on." Reaching into her bag she ruffled around in it until she came across a long string. "Luffy come here for a second." She said motioning for him to come over.
Bouncing over to his trainer Luffy watched with wide eyes and a big smile as she took Hat off of his head. He watched her tie the string on each end of Hat.
Plopping it back on his head with a smile. "There you go Luffy, now Hat wont fly off anymore."
Happy Luffy tugged on Hat some before letting out an excited cry and bounded up his trainer so that he rested on her head. This was good, now he could fight with Hat on his head without worrying that it would fly off.
Glancing up at him Robin grinned before turning to Kilik. "We are ready when you are." She said with a grin. "Thank's for taking me back and traveling with me."

"Well, if we miss it, it's no big deal," Keegan shrugged, having set Artemis's Pokeball and Tierra's Great Ball on the waist strap he wore. Kasiya wasn't the only one feeling a little anxious with all the people around them, and he didn't hesitate to follow her outside and escape the chattering of the trainers as they waited to get their Pokemon treatment.
Keegan followed along just behind Kasiya as she led the way, a little amused that she was hurrying along at such a brisk pace. As she stopped to look down a fairly empty street, he kept going, not really sure what she was looking for. He could see signs pointing the way to the train station, and he continued to walk, looking back over his shoulder now and then to see if she was still following him. A shrill whistle greeted his ears just then, and from a distance, he could see the train just pulling up to the platform. Passengers started to file off of the train, and soon after different ones began to board. "Come on, Kasiya, we've got to hurry if we're going to make this train!" he called out to her, starting to run. It was still quite a bit aways to go before they actually reached the station, and they still had to buy their tickets. We should have just waited until we got to Slateport to heal our Pokemon, Keegan thought grumpily as he crossed the street, and turning to wait for Kasiya to catch up with him.

It wasn't until she heard the train whistle that Kasiya started to run as well, reaching up to hold her bandanna in place so it wouldn't fly off her head as her feet slammed the pavement. "Don't just stand there!" she hollered at Keegan. "To the ticket booth! Go!"
When the duo of trainers arrived, the woman behind the counter smiled at them both. "You didn't have to run," she said, pointing to a large sign behind her marked "Depart Times". "You had plenty of time before the train left. Destination?" she asked, typing away at the keyboard in front of her in order to print off the tickets they would need.
"We're heading to Slateport City," Kasiya told her with a nod.
"Beach Party bound?" she asked, inputing the destination and waiting for their tickets to print out.
"Something like that," Kasiya nodded, glancing to Keegan as the lady handed her a small slip of paper. "It does sound like fun." She took out the proper change to pay for her ticket, and wandered over to the platform, waiting for Keegan so that they could board the train together.

Kilik nodded. "It was nice. It's...been a while since I'd last spent time with anybody." He was about to toss Flygon's Pokeball then froze for a moment. Flying...he shuddered at the thought of it. He hated it so much. Biting his lower lip, Kilik tossed the ball. "Bahamut, let's go!" he shouted.
The Flygon came out of the Pokeball and stretched her mighty new wings. Her eyes glanced over at Kilik and Robin from behind her red 'goggles'. The dragon leaned down and pressed her nose against her trainer's cheek, nudging him. His skin felt very warm against her cool scales. Kilik placed a hand on her snout and rubbed it lightly. "You up for flying our new friend to Goldenrod?" he asked Flygon, nodding in Robin's direction, "Then we'll find a new adventure...somewhere." The boy took out Elekid's Pokeball and recalled him into it. No need for the baby to risk getting hurt on the flight.
Kilik gulped hard and motioned for Bahamut to lay down so he could climb on top. She did as she was told and let out a light 'giggle' of sorts when her trainer hopped on. She must've remembered how scared he was when she had flown him that single time as a Vibrava. The dragon nodded over her shoulder at Robin, letting her know it was safe for her to get on.
Kilik tried his best to remember exactly how Mike flew on his Charizard. Was it foot behind the wings or over the wings? With the way Flygon's body was shaped, that would put a lot of strain on her neck. The boy decided to sit in the center of her back, his feet locked over her shoulders. He held out his hand, which was shaking slightly, to help Robin on board.

"I was wrong, this isn't that fun at all. Come on Jason, you'll never be like the professor that way. Come on Surskit, hit 'em again!"
Zeus took the hits as it had been doing all along, but this time the bubbles appeared to take effect as it's movements got a bit more sluggish. "How could I forget, bubble lowers speed! And those water attacks are still taking their toll, being an electric/steel type doesn't give Zeus any resistance to water. If only it knew Thunder Shock, then this might have been over already... Darn. Hang tight Zeus."
"What's that? You giving up Jason? I'll finish this quick then. Bubble one more time Surskit!" Surskit dashed forward and began to fire a barrage of bubbles at Zeus who was just hovering there, looking at the oncoming attack. "You're hopeless!"
"Hopeless am I? Zeus, tackle now!" Zeus immediately rocketed towards Surskit, charging in a straight path right through the bubbles. As the stinging bubbles made contact with it's body, Zeus faltered a little, but stayed on target and smashed directly into Surskit with it's cold steel body. Needless to say the tiny pokemon was sent sailing by the hard hit, Zeus hovered in place after making contact.
"Ah, Surskit! I thought you had thrown in the towel, but I can see you've still got some fight left in you. Go Surskit!" Surskit jumped up into the air this time and fired her bubbles downward at Zeus from an angle.
Heh heh, just as I thought. I couldn't beat her speed, but once I got one hit in she got riled up into attacking first. I'll get her on the counter attack, but I do hate the idea of trading hits for hits. Zeus won't last long, it's already taken some damage. Tackle once more Zeus! give it all you got!" Zeus fired off another tackle at Surskit, traveling upwards through the bubbles and slamming into surskit once more. Jason wasn't sure if he had seen correctly, but it almost looked like Zeus did a bit of a twirl on the way back down. It would appear that Zeus was enjoying itself.
Surskit landed hard, Zeus landed a good hit and Surskit's frail body was feeling the effects. "Ah! Alright Surskit, it's time to bring out the sectret weapon. Let's go one more time! Jump up high as you can Surskit!"
"Heh, I've got you now! Tackel Zeus, let's get 'em good with this on!" The moment Surskit had reached the peak of her jump, Zeus took off once more directly for the suspended pokemon.
"As I had hoped. Thanks Jason, this was actually kinda fun towards the end. Surskit, Signal Beam!" As Zeus charged forward Susrkit closed her eyes and focused all her energy to the top of her head. The the strange energy had finished gathering, Zeus was already in point blank range, mere moments from crushing Surskit with another tackle. The beam was unleashed, a peculiar blue and red light fired from the top of Surskit's head and hit Zeus directly in the center of the body. The light washed over him and spilled out around it's body, Zeus tried to fight the blast but was sent rocketing down towards the floor, pounded into the earth by the powerful beam.
"Zeus! You alright buddy, can you still move?" Jason called from the sidelines, he knew better than to rush into the battle field unless it was definitely over. But even then he was reserved enough to avoid such a show. The dust cleared and Zeus could be seen weakly hovering back towards the center of the battle field. It turned to look at Jason, then fell to the ground, it's ever open eye still staring upwards. Jason recalled Zeus to it's pokeball and smiled. "You did good buddy, but we can't win 'em all right?" He looked over at Alex who was recalling Surskit and waved. "Good battle, that Signal Beam came out of nowhere."
"Thanks, but I'd have won anyway." She stuck her tongue out playfully and Jason laughed. "Oh yeah, Well I was holding back a secret weapon to. You'll just have to wait till next time to see it." He clipped the pokeball back on his belt and headed for Mauville again.
"Where ya goin? Verdanturf is this way. Isn't that where you were going?"
"Yeah, but Mauville is closer and I need to get to a pokemon center." Jason waved and walked off leaving Alex behind. "I'll come back by here soon, maybe I'll see you again."

Looking up at the large dragon Robin couldn't help but smile. It was so cool that she was going to be able to ride on it! Going over to Bahamut Robins smile still wide as she took Kiliks hand. Noticing the shaking Robin didn't say anything as she settled herself down behind him and after a second wrapped her arms around his waist. "Don't worry I am sure Bahamut knows what she is doing." She said hoping to make him feel a bit better. She didn't really know that Kilik just didn't really like flying.
Below them Luffy stared up with wide eyes at the large dragon for a moment before laughing excitedly. Quickly scrambling up Bahamut he nimbly climbed up Bahamut's neck until he rested on her head right between the two large antenna. Squealing happily Luffy plopped himself right down there wrapping his tail around the dragon's neck in order to hold him in place.

"Seems Luffy's going to guide our way," he laughed. Kilik tapped his feet against the Pokemon's sides and give it a 'Hyah!' like a cowboy. For a fleeting instant, he imagined a cowboy hat upon his head and a reign in his hand, on top of a glorious Rapidash, ready to ride off into the sunset. The moment he felt Flygon leave the ground, his stomach gave a lurch. Immediately, his arms wrapped around the neck of his Pokemon and he kept himself low. He shut his eyes tightly. So tightly, in fact, that it hurt.
"She may know what she's doing," he groaned, "but that doesn't mean I can't be scared." He pressed his cheek against the Pokemon's skin. It felt cool and it calmed him down a bit. The wind that whipped around his head felt nice, too. It wasn't the idea of flying - it was nice up there. It was the height.
Bahamut let out a high pitched squeal as she flew through the air. Trying out her new wings was a blissful experience. Her body extended a bit to streamline the air around her and give her a bit more speed. It wasn't too fast, but they weren't flying at a leisurely pace, either. She glanced down to see the Cherrygrove Pokemon Center waaaay below her. That was the last place she had visited as a Vibrava. The Flygon smiled and cooed brightly. Her tail swayed in the air. She couldn't believe it! She had a tail!
Kilik sat up a bit, keeping his eyes closed for a minute. He opened them very slowly when he felt Bahamut slow down. She must've felt his hands tense against her scales. He looked over his shoulder at Robin. "So will I see you at this...Professor Rowan's seminar?" he asked, his hands actually easing up.
