Well, the Centaur is more of an armoured artillery tractor than an APC. But if I have to make connections, the Centaur might have something in common with the T-27 tankette. Both have two machine guns, so there.
Maybe a Kangaroo tank if you want to get really far fetched. No, scratch that thought.

Anyone know off hand what the hydra gak gun counts as? I mean, I know its long barrelled autocannons, but two TLed? Gatling? What?
EDIT: Are we allowed to ask that kind of question? It wouldn't quote the rulebook or any rules, just say what rules apply.

My general policy on it is if you can find it online, you can post it here. 3nodding And, I believe it's 2 TLed, it's listed on the description of it for the turret on the Forgeworld site.

Hydra has two tin-linked long barreled autocannons. Also says so in the Apocalypse book.

Lt. Brookman Hydra has two tin-linked long barreled autocannons. Also says so in the Apocalypse book. Thanks very much guys. I've gotten into the idea o building one, and realized I had no idea what the ACs counted as xp I've heard really good things about the apocolypse book, but I've never gotten to peek inside. The ones at my LGS are plastic wrapped and none of my friends have bought it sad

Don't I know it.
I buy stuff when I have the cash to spare, and that does me alright, I just dont have the extra cash to drop on a book I don't really need. Plus, I don't get to play enough 40k as it is, much less apocolypse games, so it would be a waste for me to buy the book. On the off chance I do play a game of it, it will be with other people who probably have it.
I also balance my 40k spending with my Warmachine spending, and often times that game gets priority because A) a little bit goes a long way (less stuff needed for a game), and B) theres a bigger group for it here.

Ah, steam powered automatons. I love them almost as much as deep striking multi-melta toting Sentinels.

They're worth it, especially when fielding light drop troop armies such as D-99 veterans.

For comparison to real world tanks, I'd compare the Centaur to a Bren Carrier. The Centaur looks much more similair to the Bren and had similair use, it could tow gear and was also an open topped light APC equipped with two machine guns. Just wanted to throw my two-cents in here.
