Oh yeah, someone getting an advantage and stomping can be great/hilarious. But, as you said, there are limits before it's somewhat silly.
I've heard good things about Vahn pre-our fight so I'll just chalk up that particular fight as a bad day on his part but, it was HoH 2010 and he was apparently in his blood demon phase.
So, Omi at the time was purely snake reliant in combat, and Vahn was not only immune to fire damage, he got stronger as it hit him. Omi had no idea about this IC and I wasn't going to pull the bullshit "he watched videos and studied him!" meta excuse so I roleplayed it out. Then after beating Vahn's a** a little, Vahn revealed his plan.
Blood. Demon dark fire acid blood. Adhesive s**t that couldn't be put out, ate through flesh, etc.
I backed Omi off despite having the advantage up to this juncture, because at this point, Vahn was a Juggernaut heat steroid warrior with sprinkler acid blood. Unless you're also a fire demon that takes baths in lava, no bueno for anyone sane.
Launched a huge all or nothing attack that Vahn took the bait on and blew up Omi's arm [which is canonical, his current arm's artificial and he experiences phantom pains all the time] into Vahn's lower torso/right kidney. To be clear:
I launched Omi's arm like a missile.Vahn's response was that fortunately, he had drank all his life, so he didn't have a right kidney. Then he bowed his head and grinned as the thread got locked.
I overall won, but only barely because one judge gave Vahn the win due to the following review (this is the entire review literally):

Believe that judge gave him nearly a 20/20.
Since then, moving kidneys have been my sworn enemy.
