Luke took Kaya's hand, though his grip was gentle, and led her out to the grounds. He guided her through the maze-like property to the cave where he kept his friend. He let go of Kaya's hand and motioned for her to stay put as he approached the cave. "Kaitani." he called, whistling a little and snapping his fingers.

Kaya followed Luke, keeping up with him easily, but she started to fidget nervously as she stood waiting for him.
Kaitani's head shot up at the sound of Luke's voice, and the ice dragon clambered to his small feet, before trotting out to the entrance of the cave. He paused, staring at the newcomer, and sniffing the air.

Luke placed a hand on Kaitani's head, petting him some. "Don't worry. She's a friend." he said to the young dragon before looking to Kaya. "Kaya, this is Kaitani."

Kaya knelt down so that she was on eye level with the little dragon and extended her arm, tilting her head at the creature.
Kaitani slowly inched towards Kaya, sniffing the woman's hand. He glanced back at Luke once, then snorted ice over her hand, which melted soon in the warm air.

Luke watched them meet, hoping Kaitani would like Kaya. He smiled some when Kaitani snorted ice. That was a new trick. Luke, to remedy any worsening mood in the hatchling, made a large snowflake crystal which reflected the light, his ice magic keeping it from melting. "Kai-chan." he knew the dragon liked to play with such little ice sculptures.

Kaitiani's eyes were quickly caught by the snowflake, and he bounded over to Luke, sitting back on his haunches and staring up at the ice crystal, watching it with wide, blue eyes.

Luke laughed some, making the crystal spin some. "You certainly like shiny things..." he said, tossing the snowflake to the dragon, letting him play with it and chew on it. His fangs were coming in soon. Might as well teach him to chew on ice and not trees.

Kaitani quickly leaped up, catching the snowflake in his mouth and sitting back down. He chewed on one edge, working against it with his still small teeth.
Kaya stood and watched the dragon a small smile on her face.

Luke just watched Kaitani enjoy his toy. It was so cute. He smiled as he laid down in the grass. Maybe he could take a nap. The sun was perfect and the grass was cool, and he was getting sleepy.

Kaitani looked up from his crystal, catching sight of Luke lying in the grass. The dragon glanced between him and the woman, then sat up. He tossed the toy up in the air, catching it again in his jaw, but with a better grip, then trotted over to the woman, dropping the toy in the grass at her feet before dashing over to Luke's side, where he curled up, his leathery skin brushing against the demon's arm.
Kaya tilted her head at the dragon, who was watching her, and she leaned down, picking up the ice crystal thing. She walked over to where the dragon was, crouching down and offering the crystal to him again.

Luke looked over at the dragon when Kaitani laid next to him. He pet the ice dragon softly before seeing Kaya offer him his ice toy back. She was sweet. He liked that about her. But she probably wasn't looking for a guy currently... Especially not one like him...

Kaitani took the toy, then put it down on the ground, reaching up with his head to lick Kaya's cheek, before settling back down beside Luke. Kaya smiled at the dragon, sitting down on the other side of him and petting his back, scratching occasionally in spots where his skin had a small seam-like spot. The dragon started making a soft noise in his throat like a purr, closing his eyes and starting to fall asleep.

Luke smiled as Kaitani began to purr. It was actually really relaxing since the dragon was nestled against his side. The vibration was starting to make the old wolf sleepy.

Kaitani soon fell asleep, his head resting against Luke's side and his tail curled around Kaya, keeping them both close to him.
Kaya watched the dragon fall asleep, noting the behavioral signs that indicated as such. She stopped her petting motions, instead resting her hand on the top of his head and looking out across the terrain they had a beautiful view of from there.
