Core's body pulsed with magic and buffered their fall. He opened his mouth, "...Chiasa..." He said. His voice was strained. He wanted to tell them that his spirit was knocked out of his body. He couldn't get back in due to all the magic.

Chiasa screamed as she was knocked down. She scrambled to get to Core again, but she didn't have the energy to run anymore. Instead she laid her top half on his torso, trying to shield him if she could. She was still crying, and she was beginning to feel like she was drowning, like she couldn't pull any air into her lungs. Please, Core, she thought as she tried to find him by their bond. I need you, so much. Please....

"Hold on, dammit, Core... Don't let your soul cross the river!"
Nikoli stands up. "Chiasa- you want to help? Keep him anchored. I'm going to see if I can find him in the Ethereal plane and bring him back. Aislin! The name! NOW!"

((Excuse me for trying to find out what's going on while you guys go crazy... Geezz, You go to get your teeth cleaned and the next thing you know everything's gone to hell.))
"Azrael." Aislin breathed, terrified out of her wits.
Gab was still cowering under the bed. He'd been too scared to move. His ridge lay flat against his body, and his wing pulled in as tight as he could keep them. His entire body shivered with fear.

Nikoli backed up a few steps, and upon hearing the name 'Azrael', black flame sporuted from his eyes. Soon, every part of his body seemed to be engulfed in bright orange fire, though his eyes still burned black. His form started to bulge and ripple with power, claws extended from his hands. His voice was a terrifying growl.
"I am Nikoli Azrael, shadowdancer child of Hades..." He booms.
His massive, now horned head looks down at core.
"this angel was not meant to fall this day. I will return..."
In a burst of black energy, he was gone.
In the ethereal plane, Nikoli's eyes peirced the darkness, looking for Core's soul.
"I CAN SMELL YOU, ANGEL! You have the stink of hell upon you, is that right?"

Core lay in the Afterlife-like plane. With everything of him removed, all that remained was his soul. With nothing holding him back, he was able to let all his pain and suffering loose. The tortured half Angel cried out again and again. So many times he had killed. He had witnessed his crimes every day. Hell could never offer the horrors the Academy did. And before he was taken away from there, he watched fellow scientists become empty shells from an Infection no one knew about.

Chiasa let out a sigh and then couldn't fill her lungs up anymore. She wouldn't die, just yet, her bond still holding her from that, for now. her eyes were lifeless and her pulse was slowing.

Core grit his teeth tightly, "Wh-Who are you?" He asked the darkness, "...Ch-Chiasa...Where's...?"

Aislin moved forward to craddle Chiasa, and called Gab, forcing her will upon him.
The small blue streak came racing to her, stopping on a dime. He shoved his head against Chiasa's hand and Core's shoulder. He pulled pure magic from his source. Dragons where magic. He had plenty to spare for Chiasa.

At this point he didn't care who it was anymore. Core needed to see Chiasa. Even as his emotional pain left him a wreck, he needed to see her again, "C-Chi-asa..." He said again.
He gave Chiasa's hand a very small squeeze.

Any magic that Gab gave Chiasa was swept along the river in her mind and into Core's body. She didn't move or seem to change in anyway.

"I can't go back. What I used before is..." Core didn't even have to tell him. He should know Core's body is probably more a time bomb now than a vessel for a soul, "Chiasa needs to be stopped..."
