Part of stratagy is to know what your up against, IE, being prepared.

so did i, at least in my original story, my carachters contact with the charaters from the old stories was kept to a minimum and was always used to make the story more dramatic, not dependant on it.

my App has one, minor incidence where he briefly met Boba Fett, and my character was so minor at the time, that Boba fett probably won't remeber him. so I just made an intresting little detail ,I didn't distort the fabric of star wars continuum.

I was told that i had a npc from the old jedi order that was ok to be a master, because it was Master Tra Saa, who is a Neti. And since Neti's can live far beyond even Yoda's species' life cycle, and can reach ages older than 5000 years. assuming that she some how survived the Jedi purge; which is possible, seeing as many other, lesser, Jedis survived it, she would easily be able to live the hundreds of years between the old order and now, though she isn't technically his master anymore, she's still going to appear in at least the very begining to save his a** while he weak from just waking from being in carbonite, and alow him to escape a bad situation.
