lymelady Don't you dare settle for the first thing that comes along! Sorry, just had to add that. For some reason that just made me think of this little saying:
"Select only a date that would make a good mate."
Yea, the people I look up to always tell me to only look for someone that I think would be a good partner. Do not settle with someone less than your worth, and the type of person you get depends on the type person you are. Something like that.
I'm patient when it comes to finding your "half", as my brother likes to call it. Though, at times, I wonder about my half and when will I find him. I can't wait to feel whole when that time comes.
Oh, and thanks for the hug lymelady. *hugs back* My allergies are starting to lighten up now. Yay!

divineseraph it feels it though... i'm not confident at all... and though i have plenty of female friends, i want more than friends, someone i can talk with and cuddle and all that... but nobody i know wants me for anything more than a friend sad Boy do I know that feeling... I had a lot of guy friends that were involved in relationship of their own. Always the girl friend but never the girlfriend. But I learned a lot about relationships over time... 1.) Like Lyme said...don't settle. But I want to add to that. It's OKAY to date someone to try it out and see if it will work. It's a date, not an engagement. If it's not working, break it off. Better to deal with a temporary heartache than living with the regret of your life. 2.) Just because you're the only one that;s not in a relationship doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. It only means that you haven't found the right person yet. 3.) You have to be a good friend before you can be a good boyfriend. The first guy I ever dated was a great friend but he totally sucked as a boyfriend (to the point where I liked him better as "just a friend") If a girl can like you as a friend...eventually she may come to see you are the greatest friend she's ever known. 4.) Most relationships in high school don't last longer than a year. Most of those that do will be over and done with after the first year of college. Most married couples I know met each other in college and NONE of the old high school couples I knew are still together. (Mine doesn't count because we started dating after we started college) Yeah I know it feels sucky now. But the important thing is to not let it drag you down. 5.) No one ever found their significant other moping in solitary confinement. No one can date you if they don't know you exist. No one will want to date you if you're mopey....unless they like mopes. The they're in for a dissappointment because you started dating and you suddenly stopped being mopey. wink

The they're in for a dissappointment because you started dating and you suddenly stopped being mopey. wink Well put, and very good advice indeed. I dated a girl in highsxhool for almost two years and another for a year and a half. I thought it would last forever each time adn each time I'd been hurt. I now see high school as what it was for me, training for relationships in the real world. School was where I learned everything I ever needed to be social. Just enjoy your high school years, if you get to cuddle and be close to someone then great, it'll make you enjoy your later relationships all the more, but don't put your entire life's stock of love into the few years you have there. There are other fish in the sea. It's a big freakin sea baby, find one that's perfect for you before you make a huge commitment, but don't be ashamed to find out what it's like to learn from others. After all, how are you supposed to know what you like if you've never had the chance to find out? I got a little off topic, but there's my love advice.

Jeez, I'm exhausted.
Sorry I haven't been around recently, guys, but this new job of mine is literally taking over my life.
Combine that with school, and the ever-dwindling days I have left of it, and I have no time for Gaia.
I work really late at night, and it's 2 in the morning. I can't go to sleep, so I figured I might as well say hi to all the lovely people who I'm sure haven't forgotten moi.
I Love you all. Don't forget that.

I'd usually wait a few hours to reply so it wouldn't make me look like I'm here all the time, but since you can't go to sleep, it wouldn't matter... I was wondering where you went! But I don't know you well so I just forgot. Where do you work that takes so much time?!

Lorysa Akshamala Wow. I got to be Queen for the weekend. Long story. Tell us every detail, I double-dog dare you! :3 Well, you know how I'm in girl scouts, right? Every year a senior and cadet girl scout troop will volunteer to organize a two-day event for younger girl scouts called the Encampment. Our troop did it for two years in a row. Oh, and we had to have a different theme for it, too. Last years theme was 'Junkyard Olympics', which worked out perfectly (minus the horrid heat we all had to put up with gonk ). This years theme was 'Medieval Magic'. And oh boy did we worked HARD. Especially if you're a daughter of a work-a-holic girl scout leader.
I don't know how to explain this, really. The place we had the Encampment in had a huge meadow in the middle of a forest. We called the meadow Dragonville. And we divided the forest and called one part "The Enchanted Forest" and the other "The Black Forest". Ooh, ooh! One of the leaders even built a castle in the middle of Dragonville, it's soooo awesome! xd I should show pictures!
Anyway, I guess we had some sort of a storyline going on when the girls were doing all of their activities. Basically, there's a dragon who laid seven dragon eggs in The Enchanted Forest, which were ready to be hatched soon. In The Dark Forest lived The Black Knight, who you can guess is the 'bad guy' in this story. The White Knight (the good guy, of course) protected the Queen and Dragonville from The Black Knight. These were the only characters in the story, if I remember correctly. And guess who I was! xd
In the first part of the day, we had a 'Mystery Hour'. Oh, I guess there were more characters. During the activities a storyteller would come in and start telling them about the dragon, the two knights, etc. and the girls didn't knew who these characters were. I think I blew it off by signing 'Queen Aimee' in the girls autograph scrolls in one of the activities, but oh well.
At dinner time, this is where my big role came in. I made a beautiful renaissance dress (again, I should show pictures) and wore it as a queen costume. At this point no one could see me yet because it was a surprise. I even had tarp thrown on top of me until I came inside the castle. When everyone was seated, trumpets blew and I came out of the castle and sat in my... um... royal dinner table... thingie? Bah, anyway, I thought it was really funny when the little girl scouts (ages 6 and up, mind you) started to believe I really was a Queen. Two different girl scouts kept coming to my table to try to talk to me, and one even started singing a song! It was so adorable. After that one of the leaders encouraged the girls to start "Entertaining the Queen" which resulted little girls doing back flips, singing, showing off their flexibility, and even putting up short skits. All just for me, too! They were all so CUTE! And I'll never forget it.
After dinner we went to the flagpole and one of the storytellers ran from the direction of The Enchanted Forest and told everybody that all seven of the dragons eggs were stolen by The Black Knight. Six scrolls were left behind by The Black Knight, each contained a riddle that led to the eggs. Eventually, the girls found six of the dragon eggs. But one had yet to be found.
In the next day, I came out of the castle with my queen costume. The White Knight was there and escorted me to my seat, and the games began. The girls were able to do jousting and.. some other stuff. Not for real, of course! Again, I have to say they were all so cute! 4laugh When the games were done The Black Knight appeared with the seventh dragon egg and started sword fighting with The White Knight. Oh, and they were fighting with real swords, by the way. Apparently they take classes with this sort of thing. Anyway, needless to say The Black Knight lost and ran way, never to be seen again. And the girls helped The White Knight return the last dragon egg.
I have many more details than this, but there is too little time to write it down. At least for tonight.
