I'd take Ash "Mage-y", Nelphean Brightsabre "Walking Meat Bag and Healing Potion", Meilikki, and young Ecara.

Ash is a timemage. Stepping beside a complicated discussion of the time continuuim, He can also do other wizardy stuff. That means that the party can be protected from harmful spells and also have a way to damage creatures that are immune to physical attacks or have special magical propertiest that make them difficult to kill. He can also trap people in Time Stasis, which means we wouldn't have to worry about Kellg'hn or Dimitri.

Nel B is a jedi. Nothing is more over powered than anything with any sort of force or force related power. He can heal the party and be a meat shield. He can also deal with beserkers and any creature that uses mental anguish to fuel its combat abilities, as well as gather information, etc.

Meilikki can see the future, thus can advise on which course of action will best bring the most desireable outcome. She also provides a down to earth perspective of the problem, as Nel B suffers from excessive angst and Ash has no connection with reality. She can also provide a 'mother' figure for Ecara while on the expidition.

Lil' Ecara provides the necessary emotional support that encourages the party to accomplish the task. In the most difficult of situations, the presence of a child can alter the mood and motivations of the party, as well as force a certain Jedi not to be to self absorbed. She can also bake pies and other goodies, if I remember correctly. A well fed soldier is a good soldier. Also, many powerful creatures, like Dragons, have a thing for virgin/little/cute girls, thus fills another aspect of any plan.
