Sibyl was walking along the sidewalk when she saw a peculiar van approaching and her hearing registered a howling lycan that was issuing some form of mating call. Her nose crinkled when she realized it was a young lycan no less that would have absolutely control over himself and that was when she began to administer her true speed. She ran and her speed climbed so that it grew faster than that of the van and she raced and zipped around corners, desperate to just escape the horrible sound being emitted from the van. All thoughts of saving the young lycan inside would be in vain and she'd lose either way so she simply chose to flee.

The van continued to tail her but it covered more area space than her and cars were on the roads so she managed to get ahead of it with her speed and size advantage. She took the opportunity to hastily climb a fire escape and make a run for it on the rooftops to assure that she lost the damned van. She didn't know where it'd come from or why it was chasing her but she really didn't have any time for thoughts like that since all of her instinct was focusing on escaping at the moment. Well, most of it, part of it was trying to convince her to turn around and let the young lycan have his way with her but she listened to fear instead of urges.

While Shin had ran away to get his lackeys to do all the work, Nuri had other plans. She was gonna go the old fashion way to track this Sybil character, it was probably faster to search the street with her unbelievable speed than to get a truck into the city. So when Alasdair ordered her to search for the mutt, she ran down the skyscraper. She ran all the way down to the street, doing a front slip when she got near to the sidewalk so that she wouldn't crash.

Nuri knew the last location that Sibyl was reported, so she quickly made her way there. She knew that the mutt was with Jaden, but she did not care.

It took the woman a pretty minute to reach the alley nearest to Sybil's location. The woman's stench tainted the whole area, she was indeed close. A grin of self accomplishment appeared on the woman's lips as she thought about beating Shin at their little game.

Just then she heard the distant mating call of a male lycanthrope, she was definitively close. So to get a better view Nuri knelled down for a moment, just to propel herself to the roof. A moment later, the gypsy woman was darting straight up the alley and to the top of a relatively high building. To her unbelievable surprise, Sibyl was running in front of her a few buildings away.

The smile on the woman's lips was unmatchable. The woman quickly mapped out the quickest route to get in front of her and in the blink of an eye she was off at her full speed. She headed a good ten buildings ahead of Sibyl, too short of a distance for her to be able to notice in time to avoid her.

Once Nuri was in the building, with a fast approaching Sibyl behind her, she moved to the top of the roof access cabin. She took a seat there, wearing her victorious smile, and waited for the mutt.

From inside the factory, Shin grabbed his trusty raven black dessert eagle and a light sniper rifle. The Asian vampire tied the sniper rifle to his back and holstered his gun inside his jacket. That was all he needed, so he then walked out of the factory, seeing the truck had already left. So Shin decided to rush after it.

So Shin quickly made his way to the heard of the city, using his vampire speed to reach there. It took him less than a dozen minutes to reach the city. Since he was holding a sniper rifle, the vampire quickly made his way to the top of a building. But that building was not tall enough, so he quickly scanned the skies to find the perfect building. There it was, a large tower that looked down at all the rooftops downtown and even had a view into the docks.

Shin smiled and made his way to the top of the tower. When he reached the tower, Shin knelt down behind a small half wall. He swung his rifle around his shoulder and set it up at the small wall. Then the man leaned into the rifle and began to peer through the sights, looking for any sign of Sybil.

The wolf knew that the van had to have specifically been sent out for her, why else would a van be driving around with a male lycan that was hitting puberty? Not to mention the van had followed her a good few blocks and now she was on the run from it. She kept her senses completely open so she could efficiently take in all of her surroundings and her lavender eyes quickly turned amber as she ran the rooftops. She wasn't certain whether to take her true form or whether she should just continue on as a human and since everything seemed a little hectic she decided she'd just remain in her human form for now. It wasn't as if she couldn't fight as a human as well and where most lycans proved to be normal humans in their human form she was far from normal though more limited.

She drew toward Nuri, fast approaching and within an instant she barely had time to register the vampire sitting atop the roof access cabin. This was definitely not a coincidence and it was clear to anyone who set eyes on her that she was patiently waiting for Sibyl and that the wolf had been herded here. The wolf, instead of pausing to figure out what the vampire wanted with her continued to blaze past without giving her so much as a second glance. However, as Sibyl dove across to the next rooftop she'd taken on her wolven form which would give her even more edge and make her equal if not faster than most vampires seeing as she had four legs now as opposed to two. This would also enable her to jump higher and more efficiently as well though climbing would be another matter.

Sibyl began panting the instant she shifted forms to assure she didn't overheat, however she decided that she was going to have to risk ducking down into the streets again in order to lose the female vampire. And so the wolf did just that, jumping down a few buildngs to land flawlessly on the ground and continue running in erratic patterns that made her near impossible to follow on foot alone. Her speed was also consistent for a good while and she would be able to maintain her top speed for a good half hour to fourty-five minutes before she would have to slow down to a steady-paced run. Endurance was what made wolves excellent hunters, not travelling at top speed for long spouts of time.

While the wolf focused on her surroundings and steering clear of any obstacles that would hinder her progress she wondered if there would be a way that she could somehow double back in order to escape to Jaden's apartment. She figured that she'd lead them on far enough one way and now she completely switched directions and ran back toward the buildings she'd just passed over, though this time she was on the ground just short of clipping the sides of the building she was keeping her form hugged so tightly to them. If she was to lose them she would not only have to be efficient in being quiet but she also had to assure that she remained close to the building sides so that the vampires wouldn't be able to spot her. Hence her sticking to shadows and alleyways.

Nuri had a smile on her lips as she caught a glimpse of Sibyl's face when she saw her waiting for her, she wore such triumphant smirk. But to her aggravation, the mutt just flew past her. Who did she think she was?

The vampire was quite pissed now. So she grit her teeth and narrowed her eyes, letting a few valuable seconds slip away. Then she realized that the woman had turned into a dog and she would have a hard time catching up to her, but she had to. So the gypsy leaped off the small cabin and broke out on an all out dash. The female vampire pushed her small body to the limit of her speed, to try and catch up to her.

She narrowed her eyes to be able to see with the wind slapping her face, and grit her teeth even harder as the whistles of the passing wind bothered her. She was going so fast that she was barely able to see Sibyl, specially when she dropped down. When the mutt dropped down to the ground, Nuri overshot her by an entire building. It took her some time to be able to slow down enough to be able to land without crashing into the next building.

Sibyl might have outsmarted Nuri, but Shin was another matter. Shin had been patiently waiting to get a glimpse of Sibyl and he did. He saw the woman running all out ahead of Nuri. Before it happened, he knew what she planned to do. Sibyl wanted to drop down to ground level and make Nuri run right pass her.

So when Shin saw that the lycanthrope jumped down to the ground level he sighed. He knew that she would be around that area, so he quickly got up and tied the rifle on his back once again.

The man jumped down from the tower and headed towards the building that Nuri was waiting for Sibyl. It took him a few seconds to reach there, and as soon as his feet touched the concrete he jumped down to the alley at the ground floor. He landed and began to scan the area, waiting to hear any fast passed movement.

He had guessed correct after all, Sibyl had dropped down and turned around. Before long he could smell the foul smell of a lycan in heat, and it was approaching him. So the man reached into his school jacket and pulled out his dessert eagle. He held it at his side, with his arm outstretched downwards and waited for Sibyl to reach him.

Sibyl's muzzle uplifted in what could only be described as a wolf's or dog's version of a smile as her perfect teeth showed from her muzzle uplifting. There was no growl escaping from her either so that furthered the likelihood of it being a smile of sorts and it was. After all, she'd just out smarted a vampire. This was definitely starting to look up, after all, vampires always prided themselves in being more human and smarter than their wolven counter parts and she'd just outsmarted one. However, she hadn't forgotten the van and she wasn't sure now whether or not she wanted to jump back up to the rooftops to avoid the van or if she'd remain here on ground level. After all, it was only a matter of time before the female vampire that'd overshot her came after her again since she'd clearly seen that Sibyl was down on the ground.

As Sibyl was debating her decision about what she should do her nose caught the scent of another vampire that'd recently been through here, however, her eyes caught Shin before her nose had and the moment she saw the vampire standing there obscuring her path she took another turn that took her out of the alleyway and back out onto the street. It was clear that the vampire that'd been standing there in the alleyway had been waiting for her and she wasn't about to wait for him to shoot her or whatever it was he'd been planning to do and now the wolf had made it across the street successfully without getting clipped off by a vehicle.

There wasn't time to rest or celebrate, though, however, she slowed down just slightly so that she wasn't fully exerting herself since she had a bit of distance between herself and the vampire that'd been in the alley now. Of course she was certain he wouldn't just sit there like a feel and wait for her to run away but so long as she didn't have him on her heels she didn't need to burst with as much speed as was possible from her. Instead she ran at a still incredibly fast pace but it was not as fast as she'd been going moments before. She had to find a place or a way to shake these vampires off her tail and fast. Perhaps go inside a building? Preferably one with stenches that would cover her own.

The wolf smirked to herself again and while no one was watching quickly shifted back into her human form and decided that she would make her way into a restaurant, a potent one at that, which would hopefully be able to somehow smokescreen her trail. If it didn't work there was still the whole ethical code the vampires would have to go by if they didn't want the FBI to drop into the restaurant and blast everyone's head off. With that thought in mind Sibyl made her way into the restaurant that happened to be most accessible to her at the moment and didn't even bother to look at or read the sign.

It was obvious that Sibyl would not just walk up to him, so Shin was waiting another chase. He waited patiently for the wolf to approach, and soon his black hues spotted the wolf speeding towards him. Then he saw the woman make a very close corner and head into traffic. Shin took a moment to analyze the woman's insane agility, even though he took a moment it did not stop him from running after the woman right when he saw turn.

Shin turned and ran into the busy street, on the street parallel to the route that Sibyl had taken. When he reached the street he took a giant leap over the cars and kept going. He did not want to stop, so it was the fastest way. The reason why he was not on Sibyl's toes was because he was running beside her, but still trailing her.

He kept running at pace with Sibyl, his black eyes glued to the woman's figure because he did not want to lose her. Then he drastically reduced speed when Sibyl reduced speed when she shifted back into a human. He had been successful to hide himself from the woman, since he was a long distance away; even if it was a stone's throw away for a vampire.

The woman entered the Bribonona. Shin was not going to enter the restaurant after her, but he knew the vampire owned restaurant very well and he knew that it had a back exit. So he headed towards the back exit, where he would wait for the woman to come out. While he moved there at human speed, he took out his mobile phone and called the truck driver. He directed them to the bribonona.

Her nose was assaulted by that same scent from before when she'd been chased by the van and Sibyl then caught the scent of the other vampire though he wasn't in sight. The van seemed to be parked around the back of the restaurant for some reason as if she would use the back entrance for some reason and she quickly darted across the street again though this time she had a walk sign and was able to quickly cross the street without anyone noticing her yet. She kept going and eventually ducked behind a few buildings where she was certain the vampires hadn't spotted her and where they definitely wouldn't be able to bring the van.

However, as opposed to sitting there waiting to see whether or not she'd gotten past the vampires she kept walking to assure that she continued to move away from their position as opposed to toward their position or simply standing still like a sitting duck. At the moment she had no idea where she was going to go but it was definitely not going to be anywhere that was vampire infested or anywhere that brought her closer to the vampires she'd just left behind. As long as the van didn't follow she was safe and that was all that mattered.

As the wolf cautiously made a point of avoiding the van and the vampires that'd been hunting her she decided she would be best to attempt following Jaden's route back to the apartment. Hopefully this time she would not be interrupted and hopefully she hadn't done anything that'd scared the s**t out of him or that'd made him worry too horribly much.

Shin waited outside the restaurant for a good while, having the van parked on the alley beside the building. The man was sure that they had trapped Sibyl, but he was wrong. It seemed that the mas had been waiting for so long that his attention suddenly slipped. It was only a moment, but it was long enough to have Sibyl sneak away. Anyone would have thought that having Shin on the back would make it almost impossible to simply walk out of the alley, but apparently Sibyl had done just that.

It seemed that Sibyl opened the restaurant window and slipped out fast enough that when Shin heard the window slamming shut she was already crossing the road. The vampire let out a sigh and darted after her. In a heartbeat he was out of the alley and onto the street, but he stopped when he reached the street.

Shin stopped because he saw Nuri leaning against the light pole right in front of the restaurant. Shin sighed again and walked towards her. It was evident that the woman was surprised to see Shin. She automatically asked what was wrong.

The man reached into his school jacket once again and took out his mobile phone. "She got away." The man replied to Nuri. She looked puzzled. "That's impossible." She replied, still in denial.

"I just saw her crossing the street. We lost her."
Shin replied as he opened the phone and began dialing."I'm calling Alasdair." He added.

"Wait, no, don't." The woman quickly replied, in a frantic tone. She knew it was her fault because she let Sibyl slip right past her. Alasdair was never gonna look at her with the same eyes again.

"We can't do anything about her now, its better we tell him now before he really gets upset."
Shin replied as he hesitated to start the call.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 19, 2009 5:05 pm

The phone began to ring, and every ring come accompanied with a graver look on Shin and Nuri's face. They knew that every second brought them closer to an answer from Alasdair and closer to their punishment. It was clear that Alasdair was going to be far from happy, but how mad he was going to be remained to be seen.

After a few seconds the rings stopped and Alasdair answered the phone. From his tone it was apparent that he already was not happy. "Umm. Good Evening, sir" Shin uttered frightfully. "What is the report" Replied a dry voice from within the phone's speaker.

"Well sir, she got away." Shin replied in a very low voice and as soon as he did Nuri's heart dropped to the floor. There was silence, a pin could have been heard around them. A very human chill ran down the immortals' spine when Alasdair spoke again.

"Return."
After those words Alasdair ended the call and Shin's heart fell. He was speechless, he knew the many tortures that could await them back in the factory. Nuri became impatient while Shin stood motionless with the phone still on against his ear. "Well?" She said impatiently.

"We have to go back." Shin replied dumbfounded and began a slow walk towards the truck. Nuri walked beside Shin, looking equally pale and miserable. It was the first real mission that Alasdair gave her and she blew it.

So the pair walked back to the truck and opened the passenger's door. They got into the car, Nuri making her way inside first then Shin. The door slammed closed and the truck started its engine. A second later, the truck was entering the street and heading back into the outskirts of the city.

Zero unlocks the door to his appartment. He sets the burned out amp down beside the door, and his guitar on a chair in the living room. He lays down on his bed, just staring up at the ceiling, thinking.

That kid was good... I wonder how he got so good... and why is he hanging around the park? He should be playing somewhere...

He just layed there for a while, turning things over in his mind.

Wolf ran across the rooftops, roughly graceful. Or...am I gracefully rough?...Whatever, here's the apartment now. He jumped down into an alleyway, then after following the doors and his notepad carefully, knocked on the door. "Hey...'Got no where to go, and it's quite late." Wolf awaited for the response.

((Yet another EDIT: Well, I have to go to bed now. Cya tomorrow?...))

Zero jerked awake. He heard another knock at the door, and sits up, rubbing his eyes. Who the hell can that be at this time of night? Grumbling, he picks up his bladed staff and walks over to the door.

"You'd better have a good reason for-" He opens the door and sees the kid from the park. His face lights up with a smile, then immediatly softens with concern.

"What's up kid? What are you doing here so late?"

Wolf smiled. "Sorry to bother you, but I've got nowhere to go at the time. I don't really want to stay out on the street, considering the latest events..." He paused. "I don't know if you know, but I'm homeless." Wolf's smile faltered for a second, then resumed.

"No, I didn't know that..."

He opens the door all the way. "Well, It's not much, but you can stay here if you want"
