Tenshi needed to rest before attempting any more. He was excited that he was doing better after being with Gwyn and Tarou. Perhaps that was all I needed. A few people to get competitive with and some help. He opened his canteen and offered it to Gwyn, "You don't want to just relax your muscles. If you do they will cramp up and the push-ups will be more difficult. Drink some water and rotate your arms or shoulders." She only had a few more to go and he wanted her to finish with her training, even though he had barely gotten anywhere with his own. He had his whole life to train, although he wished it had come easier. He looked at his gauntlets with hateful eyes. He wanted them off, to be free of himself, but in time it would come.

Mizuiro looked around for a test subject. He then saw Andou-sensei. He got one big grin and walked up behind him, threw a rock at his general direction to get his attention, and then quickly used the invisibility cloak to turn into a rock. He stayed absolutely still, hoping Andou did not notice the new rock in the middle of the courtyard.
I wonder if I should try to get a hit on him while I am at it...

Ah, an influx of people. Both visible and attempted-unseen. Andou easily dodged the pebble that an errant student had thrown to get his attention. "Nice work Hoshigaki. Keep working on that jutsu," was all he said in response to Mizuiro's rather antisocial behaviour (although honestly, not that Andou was in any position to criticise anyone for being antisocial). He nodded at Keon, but held up a hand, silently asking him to wait while he dealt with the genins.
Batsu's mannerisms were awfully familiar... dare he say it? it was like Andou saw himself in him, the first to report to the mission authority, griping about his teammates. Soon enough the other Hoshigaki arrived and even Andou's asexual tendencies (except for Cassie) had to draw a breath then. The young woman was absolutely beautiful. This would be anything but unhelpful in the mission.
"I guess we'll have to wait until the last member of your team comes here. In the meantime here's a brief overview of your mission." Andou gave one scroll to both Batsu and Masaraku. "It goes without saying that these bandits will know of shinobi and will be suspicious of any chakra manifestations so keep that to a minimum." Andou then moved on to Keon.
"Ah, Kamori, huh? That's right. You're on my list so you're in my class. We're almost breaking up for lunchtime though so I would suggest to just mingle around for a bit. If you want to train, you can always do laps or push-ups." At that point, Andou noticed Gwyn prone on the ground and excused himself.
Making his way over to her he caught the tail end of Tenshi's advice to her. Oh, and he had even offered his water to her. The joys of youth. "Fubuki is right," Andou said, offering a hand out to her to help her up. "It looks like you're cramping. You should stop for now and stretch out your muscles. That was an excellent attempt, by the way, Fubuki."
Mission Scroll A small town on the edge of Kirigakure is suffering from frequent bandit raids. These bandits always come in small groups making it impossible to find their rallying figure, Infiltrate the bandits' hideout and take out or otherwise incapacitate the leader, breaking up the operation.

Gwyn was still half asleep when she heard Tenshi's advice. It had been well over a couple hours sense she had started and she hadn't drunken anything. Her mouth was like a cool desert, even with all the surrounding mist. Maybe that's why she hadn't noticed the sudden creep into dehydration. She had been careless and she payed the price, she was sure that should wouldn't be so careless. Not long after Tenshi had put in his two cents did Andou also chime in. He came bearing water which Gwyn happily accepted taking a few large gulps. When she was finished drinking she handed the water back and accepted her hand up. She had skipped stretching because she was impatient, another thing she would most likely not do in the future. To get through this exercise she was going to have to start using her head a lot more.
Starting again so soon after passing out for exhaustion did not sound like something a level headed shinobi would do. If she wanted to progress her way to the top she would have to start being much more critical on herself and her actions, and starting thinking steps in advance to counter situations like these when they arrived. So for now Gwyn took the twos advice, rotating her shoulder cuffs, applying bits of pressure to her joints as she stretched. She loosened her tense muscles so they would be nice and fresh for the second time around. She didn't have long until lunch so she didn't want to put it off for to long, but at the same time just jumping in to it would be a very unwise choice.
For now Gwyn chose to wait, recuperating her strength until she found herself with enough energy to attempt again. She hoped this ordeal of waiting and stretching wouldn't take to long, but at the same time she had no control over how fast her body recovered. She wasn't experienced enough in any jutsu to help regain her strength, she was unsure if such a jutsu existed. It would make sense after all, ninja trained a lot, it would be odd to hear that in the thousands of years of ninja, none had attempted to create jutsu to help speed up the progress of training.

Batsu took the scroll from Andou and opened it up. The boy read the contents and immediately gathered that this mission was a stealth mission. It was fine by him, because he was more of a long-ranged fighter anyways. The problem was that the group sounded like could detect chakra. This meant his tags were useless. any type of jutsu was useless, and if someone on his team needed to be healed they were virtually s**t out of luck. Batsu couldn't help but drop his head. Overall, the mission was not in his favor. Even worse, Masaraku was more close-ranged and was not exactly the stealthiest... hence the outfit. As far as Shinzu was concerned, all he knew was that he was hyper and a lard-a**.
In the boy's mind, the team was doomed to fail.

As Gwyn stood, Andou stepped back. After hovering for a bit longer, he left the kids to their own devices again. On his way back to the genin team, he paused where Tarou was. "I apologise, I didn't get to explain what chakra molding was earlier. I'm sure you've noticed that by making hand seals, it molds the chakra running through your body's network in a certain way. You can expel it easily through your fingers into the physical world, to create a physical chakra manifestation. I just want you to work at that and to work on molding and gaining control over the chakra."
Finally, Andou was free to talk to Team Natsumi again.
"Hmmm... you look worried. What's eating you?" he asked Batsu. "By the way, I failed to introduce myself properly. My name is Saitou Andou. Yours?" Of course Andou knew full well what their names were but it was just out of politeness. Besides, if you thought hard enough and into a meta layer of cognition, an argument could be made that a person's name was not necessarily how they saw themselves and that Andou was truly interested in the latter (which of course was bs that Andou had spent a lot of time wallowing in during his 2-year sojourn outside of Kiri and ninjahood).
[+4 to Tarou's next roll]
@Keon: There are some training exercises in the first page of the academy. ^^ Unless you want to work on hand seals (first core lesson), in which case ask Andou.

Gwyn was feeling much better after her little stretching session. Maybe she was a fool for not doing it, but could you really blame her for wanting to get done. Training may have been on of the most important things for a shinobi to do, but it was also one of the most tedious. It seemed like repeating the same task over and over again, because that is mostly what it was. Training when broken down to its basics was performing the same action multiple times. Yes it got you stronger but that didn't make it any less boring. Gwyn played with ideas in her head of ways to make the training more fun. Adding people to converse with made it that much better already. Perhaps there was some sort of team training they would learn of latter on that would accomplish the same goals as these solo push-ups but a bit more interactive. Gwyn would enjoy that, and she was sure Tarou would to, seeing as he seemed to have a difficult time sitting in on position for to long as she remembered earlier in the day.
Gwyn felt her energy to be about half way recovered, it was time to start again. Would it have been more beneficial to perhaps weight another few minutes to regain full strength, maybe, but it was time she didn't want to waist. Tarou was already moving on to the next training exercise and she wanted to be right there with him as he did it. She was already behind and falling even farther behind wasn't part of her objective. With her strength growing there would be nothing to stop her from reaching for the top again. She just had to be more patient and careful with how she was training.

Batsu gave a slight bow to Andou before looking back up at him. "I'm Watanabe Batsu... and yes. I am very worried. I rely on chakra quite a bit, so if the enemy can detect that then I won't be any good. About how much do you know about these bandits anyways?" Batsu wanted to try and get as much info as he could so he could plan ahead. Going into a situation unprepared would do nothing but cause trouble... and considering that his healing capabilities will possibly be detected, he had to come up with something.

Gwyn had done enough stretching for now. Her energy was slowly returning to her and she figured she had more then enough to do the two remaining push-ups. She just had to concentrate on her breathing now, and she felt like with the encouragement that Andou had just given her, the sky was the limit. If she could just finish these last tow push ups in a timely manner then she would have caught up to Tarous training. Already light years ahead of where she thought she would be and still that wasn't enough for her. Gwyn gave her arms one final stretch before getting in the push-up position. If she could just do these last two then she could hold of training any more until after lunch. Once she had eaten and was refilled with energy training would come to her with no issues. All of that began here with this push-up. If all went well she would only need to attempt this two more times before she could call a time out and go get some food. She was starving!
Gwyn lowered herself down slowly using the breathing technique that Tenshi had taught her. She got down with little to no trouble but as she started to come back up she felt her energy leaving her. She fought through it, ignoring the soreness and her growling stomach, all she tought about was Andou's words. His guide was all she needed to help her complete this task, for after a sudden burst of strength she completed her ninth push up. She would have thanked Andou if that was the type of person she was, but it wasn't so she just internally gave him thanks. Only one more push up stood between her and completing this exercise. However; something was bugging Gwyn. Something about what the adults were talking about.
A bandit village? That was all Gwyn could make out, that and something about sensing chakra being a bad thing. She knew that there was a gang of bandits terrorizing the outskirts, so perhaps that was what they were talking about. Gwyn didn't let it bug her to much sense it wasn't her problem, but she still thought of ways that she would go about doing the mission. If it had been her, she would lay some sort of trap to get a feeling for how good the bandits sense of chakra was, and from there formulate how much and by what means her chakra could be covered or suppressed. Though seeing as she was only a child she doubt she even had a enough to trigger their radar. Gwyn sighed, why was she concerning herself in all that? She was much to weak to take on a mission of any sort, let alone of that magnitude, to think otherwise would just get her killed. If this push up exercise had taught her one thing it was how to find her boundaries of limitation.

"Thank you Andou sensei," he had managed to get out, but Andou was already gone. He figured that Andou already expected the thank you and was busy at the moment. The life of a shinobi was always filled with things to occupy the time. That was one of the things he looked forward to the most. He always had too much time on his hands and the days seemed to melt together and become long and boring. At least in the academy there were things to do and assignments to be done. So far he had not met anyone who posed a threat to him or seemed to come off as a 'bully.' He was awaiting the lunch hour, yet wanted to get a few more tries in before lunch, hoping to at least get closer to finishing his training. He didn't pay much attention to the other ninja and their business. Sure it was a ninjas job to eavesdrop, however, he was more focused on the task at hand and contemplating how long it would take and what he had learned thus far.

Keon nodded, not wanting to talk to others at the moment, he put his bag down and started running his first lap around the training area. He started out with a light jog to conserve his energy. Which would increase as the laps progressed. He felt good about his pace and knew he could keep it up.`

"Hmmm... legitimate concerns," Andou commented. "I apologise if I gave the impression that these bandits are somehow perceptually advanced. I just meant that they know that shinobi are sent on missions and that shinobi can use chakra effectively. Ergo, they will be suspicious of anyone able to manipulate chakra. Of course, there are many ways to get around this." For example, by concealing this ability, or by making up a suitable backstory, and persuading them that there was no threat. Not that Andou said that aloud.
"To me, these bandits sound just like the typical troublemakers that crop up during times of uncertainty," Andou answered honestly before peering over at Batsu's scroll. Well he'd be damned. They practically gave those genins no information at all. A big fancy scroll for a three-sentence paragraph and a heading? For each team member? What a waste of resources! "You know that there are many different kinds of infiltration," Andou stated. "Also, it says here that you're a medic-nin. First aid is not an uncommon skill and you could use it on your teammates when things go wrong," but not when things got too wrong, of course, "and also to assimilate better with the bandits." Andou shrugged. "Just saying."

One more, just one more. Gwyn kept repeating those words over and over in her head. Even in the cool mist the young girl was working up a sweat from the work out. Even with her light frame she still found these push ups to be exceedingly frustrating. It seemed with every two steps she took forwards she took one back. She was reaching the end but it seemed like it was so far away still. That was most likely just her tired mind playing tricks on her. With the amount of sense deprivation she had she found it astonishing herself that she functioned at all. If she was a betting woman she would have put money against the odds of anyone with her clans condition living very long. Maybe that's why no one thought very highly of them. People always viewed the Yubie, namely the children, as the Devils garbage. Demons so useless they were banished from even hell. Bah, what did she care of other peoples thoughts? Everything, if it weren't for them she wouldn't have to drive and motivation to try and prove everyone wrong, to prove that the Yubie clan should be respected for their gifts, not teased for them.
Gwyn sat cross legged contemplating her next move. She had one of two options here. Take more of a break to regain her energy, and with the way the mist was, most likely catch a cold. Or to keep working until she passed out again or finished, whatever came first... Gwyn decided to go with the later. Sitting there doing nothing wasn't her style. Not while training anyways. That was the thing about Gwyn, she was almost two different people. Her first person, a headstrong fiery ball of energy that wanted to train and train until her body gave out on her, the other a calculating level headed person who acted based on best course of action as opposed to emotion. She was curious as to what of these two types of persons she would be in battle... Battle that would come after this next push up.
Gwyn couldn't do it though. She hadn't been stretching and her arms were still cramped. To even attempt would have only brought pain upon her body. She would wait only a moment longer before attempting again.

Gwyn couldn't bring herself to even attempt another one, even just sitting there she could feel her energy being sapped out of her. She was so sick of these stupid push ups, and just wanted them to be over, less for the fact of the benefits, and more for the fact that she simply wanted it to be over. Gwyn decided it would be best if she took her mind off them and focus on something more intellectually stimulating. The bandit problem. Gwyn couldn't help but hear them talk about it, after all they weren't being quite and were well within her range of sense. the way Andou described the problem made Gwyn question a few things. First off, why was he blowing this off as such a small deal, perhaps they were just bandits but so what, they were still dangerous. Two, could it really be so easy. Gwyn knew first hand very few things came that easy in the world. Not that infiltration and sabotage were easy by any means. And third, there had to be a catch. Perhaps the bandit leader was a stray Anbu or something, something was always there lurking in the darkness.
Gwyn chose not to dwell on it as she gave a mental sigh. She was so tired, but she couldn't give up. If only she had water. She hadn't thought to bring any for herself and thought it to be rude to ask of others that which you could not return. If she didn't have water to share she wasn't going to ask anyone to share theirs. If someone offered it to her that was one thing, that was their choice, but Gwyn liked to live in balance. So for now Gwyn just sat there, tired and dehydrated willing herself to have the energy to have one more push up left inside her.

Finishing his last lap with ease he decided to pick up the pace. He ran faster than a jog bur slower than a sprint. He felt good about running so far although in the past he hadn't had the best cardio. He lengthened his strides on the straights and shortened them on the turns. He was beginning to feel efficient in his running although he still had a long way to go. He tripped just before ending the second lap. He caught himself barely and continued running. He could feel himself getting winded and would need to rest soon.
