Zei opens his eyes and looks forward at Rikku, taking out a knife from a patch on his belt. He runs the side of the blade across his cheek. "He came looking me and asked for a fight to the death. He didn't put up much of a fight though. I know why. He told me just before I put this very knife through his forehead."

Zei stands up, keeping his eyes locked on Rikku's "His exact words were 'I've lost her.. Just kill me now. Please.. Kill me.' And with that.." He raises the knife and jabs it forward. "I done him a favour. And boy did it feel good!" He slowly lowers the knife.

Zei grins "I was hoping you'd say that. You want proof? Here.." He closes his eyes then taps into her mind, sending her images of his fight with Rufy.

Taking a few quick strides forwards, he reaches inside his jacket. "Stop it!" he demands, glaring at the demon.

Zei gets down on one knee, placing a hand in the ground, still looking at Rikku. "He lived in a world where only one person could stand to have him around, once he lost that person he saw no reason to continue his life. You killed him. He was already dead when he came to me. I just opened the gate for his escape from his hell."
