It gets cleaned and depending on profits gets upgraded with more lights, or theme design. one week would be a foam party and the next would be a pajama theme lol so a lot of clean up is needed lol

and the words are on the back of the picture lol its a double sided flier.

The front of the flier (with the door) I like a lot. It's very stylistically done, using a minimal amount of objects on the page while making an excellent use of space. Leaving the majority white gives it a nice, clean look that gives the perception that it is a classy club and not some poorly thought out nightclub. I would suggest moving the door, stairs, and the word Sky over slightly to the left, making it still off center but giving a little more space on the right side and a little less on the left. Its just that the right side seems like there could be more there but it was cut off, like a cropped picture. And because of the words in the bottom left corner, it makes the white space above it seem dead. Moving the door over so it is partially over the words would activate the space a little more and the eye would be less drawn to the blank space.

As for the side with the words, I personally don't like when people do it like that. To me, it looks like a disorganized jumble. Then again, that's only my personal opinion. The actual placement is alright, but its always best to have three points of interest. Its called triangular composition, and it takes people's eye away from the dead space. I wouldn't know how to do that, however, without completely changing in at this point, so I guess just forget about it and remember it for the next flier. Also, in the word jumble, you should try to keep words that are part of the same phrase the same size and together. The way CLUB is broken up makes it hard to understand, and because its not even with the word SKY you can lose the meaning. The way NEXT 2 and THE BOWLING ALLEY are separate sizes, it makes it look as if they are not a part of the same phrase, and NEXT 2 seems as if it fits more with HANG.

Looking at it at first glance, what I gathered was:
CL SKY NEXT 2 HANG
UB RAP
GIVEAWAYS PARTIES
And I'm like 'what's CL sky' and 'UB rap?'

It takes a little deciphering to figure out, but as an advertisement, you'd want people to understand your message at first glance, and especially in their subconscious, since people might glance at the flier while walking past. Curious people might stop to look and figure it out, but I don't believe people who just glance at it will get the message.

All that being said, I think it is overall very good and if it can't be changed before the opening, there is no need to worry. Critical analysis is one of my specialties (even more than actually making art) so its always best to be nit-picky for the person's own good. Its much better that a lot of other clubs I've seen, even some of the well-known upscale ones.

We thought about that initially, but where the fliers are smaller than a post card, there wasn't that much empty room from what we could tell.

And as for the problems with the back, we are going to high schools, hanging out with them, talking to em and giving them the fliers, so they will probably to understand them, plus with Daniel its kind of hard to make him go away if you are annoyed lol. Perfect person for advertising! I however, am large, so I head security until we have other arrangements, at which point I'll probably we keeping an eye on the parking lot to make sure that nothing is going on in them ((IE theft, breaking into cars, ya know the stuff))

Actually, we've already figured out a way to get extra revenue, and it worked last time we had a club. We have VIPs and EIPs and DIPs ((Daniel's Important People)) since he is the "host" of the club. the further you get up on those the better stuff you get ((like discounts and stuff)) and people were very anxious to get them so we would hold a challenge.

Daniel- "Okay, you can be a VIP, and get the discounts that come with such if you hold a party here on Sunday, same prices as ours, only you bring in ((depending on how many people we get)) 500 people."

Of course, if they didn't get the right numbers ((and we would actually count, everyone that paid, we aren't about to rip someone off if they go to such lengths)) we would still get the profits from the party, with no advertising, we just ran the place an extra day. ((The VIP pass usually costs 1000 dollars and you do get good discounts like half price on admission, 3 dollars in drinks ((soda and water is what we serve for now, once we get the supplies we plan on making non-alcoholic drinks)) But it is much easier for them to try and hold the party. I think the only time that the person actually brought the people was when we requested 400 and she brought about 750... so that was 7500 dollars in pocket so we were happy!!


As for the birthday thing, we are actually going to the schools almost every day, and getting a list of birthdays weekly from the principals, so we can contact them and offer to hold the birthday for 750 dollars, and a small admission, usually 2 dollars. lol
