It didn't take long for Kasiya to calm herself down and after a moment or two, when her breathing was under control again, she stood up, holding Twilight in her arms. The Umbreon was a lot heavier than any of the Pokemon she'd picked up earlier but she didn't care. Snuggling up against the Dark-type's soft fur was also helping her to relax and look on the bright side. Perhaps a call to arms would help her friends to repair their broken bonds and work together. Somehow the Umbreon managed to reposition himself so that he was perched on her good shoulder, and quite comfortably too. "Twilight, you are something else," Kasiya smiled, reaching up to scratch him behind the ear, and in return she received a nuzzle. "We'd better head back," she sighed, closing her eyes, and realizing then how rude she must have appeared to Dante. "Great," she mumbled. "He's gonna think I hate him or something..." Hoping that she hadn't offended him too much she began to walk back towards Oak's place, also formulating a plan for Operation: Rescue Shocker.

She reached the entrance to the yard pretty quickly, it seemed she hadn't gone nearly as far as she thought she had. It was a little awkward balancing Twilight and after a while she pulled him down so that he could walk beside her. Even though he hadn't been up on her injured shoulder, the strain could still be felt, and she silently made a memo to herself to pay Mai back in spades for dislocating her shoulder in the first place. She looked around a few times, wondering if she should go in yet or not. After a moment or two she spotted a familiar figure wandering the yard, looking just as lost as she did. She gathered her courage and walked up to him. "Hey Dante," she said, giving a small wave. "Uh... sorry about that. I've had a rough couple of days and I feel kinda like I'm falling apart." She chuckled sheepishly, before remembering that he'd had a Heracross with him. "Is that Heracross yours?" she asked quickly. "Looks like a toughie."

Riza quietly followed behind Keegan as the woman in the lab coat lead them inside. It wasn't the most exciting place to be and Riza sighed, already bored out of her mind. But Keegan needed a pokedex, and knowing how much she used her own she couldn't blame him.

Professor Birch seemed nice enough though, and he seemed to be pretty easygoing as well. When he turned to her, she smiled politely and shook her head. "Actually, I already have one," she said, taking the slender black mini computer from her bag and showing it to him. "My brother picked one up for my from Professor Elm for me when I started my journey." She carefully put it away, feeling a little embarrassed. "Uh...thanks anyway though," she added quickly, not wanting to insult the man. She gently nudged Keegan's arm. "I'm going to go wait for you outside, ok?" she said quietly, and without another word she smiled and headed back outside, following the same route they'd come in. When she was outside again she breathed a sigh of relief and sat down on the steps. She had no real good reason to be so nervous, but she just didn't want to stay in there any longer.

'Hurry up Keegan,' she thought, checking the time on her phone. 'It's getting late...'

Medicham was in to close, so there was nothing that could be done when the odd flames spewed out of the oval pokemon. Medicham felt a sensation that was similar to heat but just different enough to somewhat creep him out, and immediately jumped backwards with the flames to gain some distance to recover. The attack wasn't particularly savage, but it still hurt. "Hmm, so it'll be like that then, that's one sturdy pokemon alright. Heh heh, ok Medicham, take a breather this time around. Use Mind Reader!" Medicham looked back at Brawly, already sure about where he was going with this. Medicham didn't use this that much, Brawly must have been really enjoying himself with this trainer. But he had to admit, even he was getting into the battle with this little shell with legs. Mechicham balanced on one leg with hands clasp in front, closing his eyes and entering a meditative state in which he opened his mind. When Medicham's eyes opened again, they were glowing an otherworldly blue as he stared at the Endurance Pokemon, piercing her soul and listening to her stray thoughts.

Shelgon turned back a bit towards to Jaeshan, wondering what he thought of this. Suddenly it felt as though something were prodding at her brain and she shook herself a little, trying to get rid of that feeling. She didn't like the way Medicham was looking at her and she eagerly awaited Jaeshan's next command. Okay, if they're going with Mind reader that means he's planning on using something big next turn, Jaeshan mused, scratching his chin thoughtfully. He trusted in Shelgon's strength and he also trusted in himself. "Okay Shelgon, let's show them your Zen Headbutt!"

Ooh, she knew this! Shelgon had used this move once before but she hadn't a clue what it had been called. Taking aim at the Medicham she began to charge forward, much faster than one could expect from a heavy, shell-clad dragon, a peculiar bluish energy emanating from the front of her shell where her head might have been as she prepared to smash into Medicham with all her strength.

"Zen what? Hmm, this must be one of those moves I was told about. Oh well, to bad I only learned some fighting ones for my own pokemon." Brawly said with a light grin. "But that doesn't matter, no need to trade hits Medicham. You know what to do!" Before Brawly even made the command, Medicham had already started his attack. With eyes still ablaze and fist glowing with an odd light that surgedwith power, Mechicham met the charging Shelgon with a charge of his own, leaping into the air and coming down like an arrow. "Dynamic Punch!" Medicham's fist was cocked back until the last moment where he slammed it into the aura, recognizing a field of psychic energy almost instantly and using all his might to push through it and crack the skull of this tough little shell. His fighting type move was at a disadvantage against a psychic type move, but Medicham was hoping that his own natural resistance to psychic moves and the sheer force behind his attack would give him the edge. But damn it all if it wasn't taking all he had in spite of those factors to keep from losing the power struggle with this beast! This Shelgon was mighty indeed, an opponent he'd feel no shame losing against. Of course, that didn't mean that Medicham didn't intend on winning.

No, not that! Jaeshan thought, frowning as the dual Fighting/Psychic-type reared back it's fist and let it fly. He knew if it connected, Shelgon would become confused, and that was something he wanted to avoid at all costs. Shelgon kept up the strange, psychic energy for as long as she could, but seeing as this technique was still new to her and she hadn't quite refined it yet, the Dynamic Punch won out in the end, though the blow had been softened quite a bit. Shelgon shook herself fiercely as her mind suddenly felt a bit muddled, like she was trying to peer through murky water at her opponent. Jaeshan frowned. This was not the kind of thing he needed right now. "Shelgon! Follow it up with a Dragon Claw!" he shouted, hoping he wouldn't have to switch out Shelgon in order to remove her confusion. She seemed a bit dazed to him, and he hoped that's all it was, and that she hadn't become confused.

Shelgon blinked a few times and centered Medicham in her vision. A few quick steps and she was running forward, leaping up into the air and rearing back with her front leg, which not only had begun to glow with a bright, indigo aura, but also had sprouted several large claws.

Misty simply smirked when Slowpoke seemingly shrugged off the attack. Sure, he can't feel it now... But when all the pain does register, he'll be in for a big surprise. She thought, eyeing the Slowpoke. Suddenly, a little cloud of Yawn floated over the pool towads where Staryu sat. Even better, though - it was going about 2 miles an hour.

"Haha! A fitting attack for a Slowpoke.. this should be easy to dodge. Staryu, jump into the pool!" Staryu did as its trainer said and slid off of the float into the water directly below. However, it remained blissfully unaware of the Yawn cloud that was now changing direction and charging right towards the star, even though it was underwater. "What's this? the cloud is homing in on Staryu..?" Misty's face showed confusion. "I've never seen that before.." Well, it should.. dissolve when it hits the water, right?

No, it went underwater too (defying physics?)! It did dissolve when it hit the water, but Staryu wasn't very deep. The cloud was able to touch Staryu before it fizzed out completely. Staryu floated back to the top, and Misty could see that it was getting tired (no one else would be able to tell, after all). She quickly came up with a plan.

"Okay Staryu, use Rapid Spin! That might shake off the sleep, plus Slowpoke won't be able to escape from a fast attack!" Misty called. Staryu followed command - albeit slowed than it could have. As it spun towards the Slowpoke, its arms lightly grazed the surface of the pool, sending small, sparkling drops of water in every direction.

'Why is this yard so large?' Dante thought in frustration and he stepped around a sleeping Snorlax.

'Well there are a lot of pokemon here he needs to take care of.' Came an amused voice in Dante's head.

'Shut up. Stop reading my mind to, it is annoying.' That and it gave him a headache. Ignoring the chuckle that echoed in his mind he decided to continue his search for Kasiya on the path so he would have less of a chance of getting lost.

Just as he made it to the path he heard Kasiya's voice call to him. Glancing back at her he waited patiently for her to make her way over to him. Well that wasn't to hard to find her, then again he didn't really look that hard maybe. Listening to her explanation to why she ran off Dante shrugged his shoulders. "Don't worry about it Kasiya. I am sure everything will work out for you." When Kasiya mentioned his new Heracross he chuckled slightly at the thought of her before shaking his head. "Yeah I just picked her up about an hour ago actually."

He was silent for a moment before he realized that she would probably be a bit confused as to why he was with a pokemon. The last time she had seen him he had given her Leviathan with the explanation he couldn't be a trainer anymore. "In case you are wondering about the whole pokemon thing well, lets just say the gods that be changed there mind a bit." He wasn't to happy with their decision. Changing their mind like that was not even fair in the least. Give up being a trainer? Oh now you can be one? Totally not cool. "Ah sorry about my bad attitude for a moment. I am sure you don't want to hear about what I was doing, your adventure sounds much more interesting then anything I have to say."

~~~~~~~
The moment that the Yawn escaped his mouth Slowpoke felt the pain of the Swift attack. It hurt a lot! Glancing back at Robin with tears in his eyes he gave her a look of, why did you do this to me?
Robin watched Slowpokes Yawn attack dive down and hit the Staryu, or well she thought it hit, it was kinda hard to tell. Looking back down at her pokemon Robin felt a pang of sorrow for him. This was Slowpokes first battle and it was against someone as strong as Misty. Ok so maybe not one of her best moves, still she didn't regret her decision. "Hang in there Slowpoke." Her voice was strong and her eyes were full of determination as she stared back into Slowpokes eyes. Robin didn't even avert her gaze when Slowpoke was hit hard with the Staryu's Rabid Spin.
Slowpoke had felt himself fill with some sort of strange emotion when he was staring into his trainers eyes. That however flooded out of his body when he was sent flying with the Staryu's Rapid Spin attack. "Pooooooke!" He cried as he flew through the air before landing with a splash into the water. Blinking a few times adjusting himself to being back in the water he swam back up to the top of the water so he could hear what Robin said next. His body was really starting to hurt though, this wasn't as fun as he thought it might be.
"Slowpoke use your Confusion!"
Confusion? Ok, he could do that. Well he thought he could anyway. Bringing all of his focus together on the Staryu he didn't notice as his eyes started to glow as he unleashed the purple wave of Confusion towards the Staryu. Of course that attack was pretty slow considering who it was coming from.
This too is sacred...
3 Days Ago in the Pallet Town Research Lab
"Muuuuk?" the slimy, smelly, purple fleshed glob of Pokemon turned in a circle and caught sight of Travis in the dim light of the research lab. It's filmy eyes narrowed and it gave a bubbling growl. Travis grimaced and tried to breath shallowly through his mouth, glancing quickly over at the screen where the files were transferring. Four minutes left. Enough time to dispatch this pile of waste.
"Go, Beedrill." He tossed the Pokeball to the floor and a matching flash of red light signalled the appearance of the Rocket member's bad-tempered Beedrill. The insectiod Pokemon hovered in the air, a loud angry buzzing filling the room. The Muk glorped its' way into what might have been a defensive pose, eyeing the angry Pokemon warily. "We've got to work fast so hit hard with a Fury Attack!" Travis instructed and the Beedrill zipped forward to stab furiously into the Muk's goopy body. The pointed stingers made their mark and the Muk backed away to hide underneath a table. Unable to reach it's opponent the Beedrill flew back and hovered at Travis' side, the Rocket member smiling coldly.
"Good job, Beedrill. It wont give us any more tr-" Whatever he had been about to say was cut off by a horrible screeching sound that came from the Muk's open mouth. The Beedrill spun in a circle and buzzed in confusion while Travis was forced to cover his ears to block out the noise. The screeching continued for another moment then stopped, the insueing silence seeming deafening. After that Travis wondered if he'd ever hear anything again.
"Beedrill! Wrap that thing up with a String Shot!" he snarled and pointed sharply at the cowering Muk. Without a trainer to guide its' actions, the Muk was vulnerable and scared and no match for the Rocket member with his viscious Pokemon. However, as the Muk was being wrapped in layers of sticky goo from Travis' Beedrill, its' Screech had brought Professor Oak's household to its' feet.
Seated at the computer Travis removed the disc with the research data and shoved it in his pocket. In moments the door would open and Oak's security would be pouring in, moments in which he had to climb the rope back to the roof. It was worth a try; anything was better than jail! Beedrill returned to its' ball and Travis slid the chair underneath the rope he had let down earlier hoping the extra foot or two of height would give him a head start. The ceiling felt a mile away as he pulled himself up hand-over-hand as quickly as he could, sweat running down his face and making his gloves slippery on the inside.
The door burst open and Officer Jenny with a Growlithe bounded in, both spotting him immediately.
"Stop in the name of the law!" the Officer shouted, pointing her flashlight at his retreating figure. He was nearly halfway up the rope now, his years of sneaking and skulking paying off in well built muscle, the sheer stubborness from his youth carrying him as much as anything. He didn't stop, couldn't stop, no more than he could stop breathing. Just a few more feet and he would be on the roof...
"Growlithe! Flame thrower attack!" Officer Jenny commanded, her Pokemon leaping forward to vomit a gout of flame at the rope above Travis' head. His head was singed as the rope burnt away to ash in seconds but that fire was nothing compared to the bitter ash in his mouth as he began a short free fall to the floor of Professor Oak's research lab. Just as he hit the chair and bounced to the floor he had time to think 'I failed'. For a while after, there was nothing but blackness and despair.
"Uh... okay then," Keegan mumbled a second or so later, but Riza was already out the door. Okay, that was weird, he thought, looking back towards Professor Birch, who was now pulling a shiny, red device from one of the cupboard doors. Keegan could tell it was a PokeDex, though it didn't look like any he'd seen before.
"It's your lucky day," Birch said brightly, pulling out his computer chair and sitting down in it. "I just got a box of brand-spanking-new PokeDexes. All of the data on it has been compiled between Professors Oak, Elm, Rowan, and of course, yours truly," he added, grinning broadly. "All the Pokemon knowledge you could ever want, right here in this handy little hand-held." Still grinning, he inserted the device into a slot on his computer and began to initiate a sequence of programs. It took about ten minutes all up, and after getting information from Keegan, the PokeDex was ready to go. "I don't know if you know already, but these things also keep track of the badges and contest ribbons you've won, as well as Pokemon you've encountered and caught. You can also synchronize it with your Pokemon Storage Unit on a PC to keep tabs on all your Pokemon. Isn't that dandy?" He now held it out for Keegan to take. "Well, that is if you have somewhere to store your Pokemon. You look like a seasoned trainer," he reasoned, gesturing to the bruises on the redhead's face, "so I can only assume you do."
"That's right," Keegan nodded, though he disagreed with the part about him being a seasoned trainer. He was more competent than a rookie or a novice, but he was nowhere near the level of his friends - or ex-friends, perhaps. He would change that, now that he had a PokeDex. He smiled at it, then up at Birch. "Thank you so much, Professor, you have no idea how much I appreciate this."
"You're welcome, Keegan," Birch nodded. "And yes, I do know how much you appreciate it. The PokeDex is possibly the most important tool for Pokemon trainers to have. In fact, when you became a trainer you should have come here first to get one."
Keegan could only nod at that, but at the time, he didn't really know the things existed. He pocketed his new PokeDex and glanced at his watch, cringing. Riza would probably chew him out once he met her outside again for taking so long, not that he could really control it. "I've got to get going, but thanks again, Professor," he called, giving a wave and exiting the lab and ultimately the building. It wasn't hard to spot Riza as she was the only person in sight. "Ready to head back to Lilycove?" he asked, jumping down the steps and turning to face her, already holding up Alvero's Great Ball in his hand.
Both Falkner and his Pidgey watched as the little Fire Mouse Pokemon psyched himself up. As soon as the flames on his back flared up Falkner's Pidgey took flight again, it's eyes narrowing as the cloud of smoke billowed out over the battlefield. The haze would be of little bother to the Pidgey, as was the purpose of it's special ability, Keen Eye. It's accuracy remained as good as ever, and it watched as little Sherlock launched himself into the air. "Take it, and counter with a Tackle of your own," the blue-haired Gym Leader commanded, a bit of a rough edge gripping at his normally calm and smooth voice.
Pidgey braced for impact, a little bit of a cry escaping from it's throat as the Cyndaquil thudded into it. The attack actually stung a bit, as it seemed that Sherlock was a bit tougher than his teammate with the eye-patch. However, the Pidgey recovered quickly and executed a quick counterattack Tackle, a few stray feathers floating down from the small bird as it attempted to smash it's body into the Cyndaquil.
Kasiya laughed a bit at Dante's statement. "Interesting. Yeah, you could say that. I'm sure you heard about the incident in Slateport last night." She shuddered at the thought of it, clearly not really wanting to discuss it right now. "And besides I would like to know what you've been up to." She paused, looking around the yard. "But if by whatever means you get to be a trainer again, well, that's great news in my book! And you've got a Heracross already too, I hear they're pretty tough." She looked down at her shoes and kicked at the ground a little, still seeming a little she was avoiding something. "So... what brings you all the way here to Pallet Town?" she asked, looking up at him. She'd forgotten how tall he was. "I was actually going to be heading out pretty soon... I finally got myself a Charmander and I can't wait to get out there and start training her."
The blue-ringed Umbreon, still standing valiantly at her side was looking up at Dante with wide, golden-yellow eyes. He sensed that there was something strange and unique about this new person but he couldn't put a paw on it. However, Kasiya seemed to know him, so that made it all right in his book.
After a moment or two of sitting Riza had let Kirlia out of her pokeball and was now watching the psychic Pokemon dance. It seemed that Kirlia was quite proud of her new form and intended to show it off as much as possible. Riza found that she was quite captivated by Kirlia's beautiful dancing and it did wonders to improve her mood. After her performance Kirlia danced over to Riza and hopped up into her lap, now being too big to ride on her shoulder. A bit of sadness passed through Riza's heart at that moment. Kirlia wasn't a Ralts anymore, and she was both very happy about it and a little bit sad.
She didn't get to dwell on it for very long though as soon Keegan came back outside. "I assume everything went well?" she asked, standing up with Kirlia in her arms. "You look happy so I guess you got your pokedex." She eyed the pokeball and frowned a little, not wanting to have to sit through another fairly long flight. Kirlia reached up and touched Riza's cheek with her hand, saying something very quietly into her trainer's mind. Riza smiled, and patted Kirlia on the head. "Well, if you're sure," she said, looking to Keegan again. "Kirlia says she can teleport us back to Lilycove. It would be much faster than flying," she said, shrugging. "Though if you'd rather fly, be my guest." Riza shrugged, knowing that she'd be teleporting with Kirlia no matter what the red head decided.
"Slateport incident?" Dante wondered to himself as he thought about it for a second. "Ah, yeah I heard about that. I didn't pay to much attention to that though. I am taking it you were there? Oh you said you didn't want to talk about it, ok." He thought for a moment before shrugging. "Well I am glad to be back training pokemon I guess. As for why I am here at the lab, well most people visit a pokemon professor once to pick up a pokedex don't they? I may know all the old stuff but with the Sinnoh region open to the public now and all these new moves I do need to brush up on somethings. Nothing to exciting."
Listening to Kasiya talk about her Charmander Dante smiled a bit. Yeah getting new pokemon was always fun. It reminded him about all of his other pokemon captures and his new team he would have to take care of now. "I am sure you will raise her into a wonderful Charizard."
Now that they were back at the door to the lab again Dante opened the door for Kasiya before stepping in himself. "Sorry about the abrupt leave Professor."
"That's ok Dante. I figured you would be back since you left your Heracross here. So what brings you all the way down to Pallet town?" Oak asked curiously.
"What do all new trainers come down here for? I need to pick up a pokedex, I don't know all of the new pokemon or moves and I do like to be informed."
Oak just laughed at that. "You always did like to read, I remember you coming down here with your mother a few times and you would always mess around in my papers. Anyway I can give you one of the updated pokedex's no problem. Although at the rate people are coming to pick up new ones lately I am going to run out soon!"
Seeing that her trainer had come back Hera buzzed over to where he was. While this lab was full of lots of cool things and a lot of new pokemon Hera would love to battle, she had a job of protecting her trainer to do. Landing down by his feet she looked up at him before looking over at the blond girl and her strange black and blue dog pokemon.
