Yeah, that ambulance bill won’t have anything to do with you, then. You’ll probably be getting a lot of bills in her name delivered to the house, for the hospital and such. Which really sucks because I doubt you’ll appreciate the constant reminder. =/

The issue with taking out a loan is that, often, because of little credit you will be unable to get more than a one-time $400 loan for a couple of weeks. A credit card may become your only option, and you may have to get two or three of them; I wouldn’t suggest it if you can avoid it, but if you can’t, your hands are sort of tied.

Always check what the minimum payment you can make with bills is. It might buy you some time, sending in small payments; Kat and I did that all winter on utilities, but now we’re paid back up and our slates are clean. She’s been supporting me for a couple of months now, because other than that month at Logan’s I haven’t had a job since December.

We were going to get rid of our cats recently for the same reasons. Save on money, stress, guilt from not paying enough attention to them; but we couldn’t do it. When it came down to it, we realized we needed them. And our shelter only has a 32 hour wait period for adoption before just gassing them, so.. XP

The neat thing about all of the confusion is what you feel when you’ve scrambled above it; as desperate and frightened as you feel now, you will feel SO empowered when you have it all sorted out. You will know things you never had to before - you will be capable of more than you ever have, and though the learning never stops, that’s just a little farther you’ve come. It’s an amazing feeling to reach that first month where every bite of food, ever bill, was paid by the hard work you’ve put in. I wouldn’t trade any of our hardships from last year for anything. And this next year’s trials will probably be hard too, but by the time New Years rolls around, I know Kat and I (and you) will feel amazing for how far we’ve come.

ADDRESSING THE LAST FIRST- O_o Um..... biggrin I dunno. XD I'm a 90's kid.... boy band era, girl power diva era.... so I have a lot of those... um....

I really think I like the band MAssive Attack..... and I don't really have any n my computer that wasn't from a CD, except some Kingdom Hearts songs and some songs from songstowearpantsto.com. XD

Really, honestly, truly? I like anything. I just love all music. xD Put something together that YOU would enjoy listening to, that's the best thing I can say about that.... xP There are so many artists that I like, that I'd like but I've never heard of...... I just love the sound of music. xD I want to learn how to play the piano, violin, banjo, and guitar one day. XD

OTHER THINGS- Yeah, I might have missed where it plugs in... OR MAYBE.... MAYBE THE PHONE PLUGS INTO THE ANSWERING MACHINE!!!! AND TEH ANSWERING MACHINE CORD PLUGS INTO THE PHONE JACK!!!

XD And it doesn't really feel that she's gone, honestly. Or it mostly feels like it's always been this way, but sometimes it doesn't.

razz Yeah........ I didn't think about that with the loans. D: Hmmm....... and the average american is supposed to have like, five credit cards! I know my mom didn't have any, I won't either unless it's a small one I can get when I'm more financially stable- I can buy groceries with it, pay it off every month, and that'll look good on my credit.

I really think the only utility I might have to pay off from her is the gas bill, because it's in the land lord's name. But I'm going to call him tomorrow too, have him come to pick up the money slip so he can go to the bank to get his rent- and see if he'll erase my mom's rent, or at least work with me on it. D: I know he's strapped for cash too, but that's really his own doing, and he lives in this huge, fancy log cabin that he owns and owns his own business so... I don't really feel bad for him. XD

And yeah, I'll definitely check up on the minimum payment thing, thanks for that. D: It had actually slipped my mind. XD O_o And that's pretty cool too!

Aw man, I could never get rid of Elliot and Aerowyn, or my lizards...... it's just that he hasn't been eating very well and you can like, really see how skinny he is although he's a long haired cat. I have to take food otu of the bowl and put it on the floor, and he really is a princess.

D< I DO NOT LIKE YOUR SHELTER. *BURNS IT* I would never everevereverever give a cat to a shelter that wasn't no-kill. D: We had to do that in missouri... I just know cuddles, frisky, and winky were likely put to sleep.
XD So good job with that. Cats are pretty independent too, mine haven't been bothering me too much, to be honest. I get cuddle time when I sleep with aerowyn when she hops into bed with me... Elliot just pesters me randomly.

And actually I liked going to the church. Usually I feel anxious there, but not anymore. IT was really lulling. XD I yawned like 7 times, but it was nice, and I had been feeling kind of lonely so that helped that a lot. biggrin

The only thing was the ex-boyfriend's mom gave me a hug and squished her face against my cheek, and my stupid wisdom tooth cut out on the very back, so it was like 'OWWWW!!!!!! D:'

xD It was a voulenteer appreciation night, with ice cream... but he doesn't eat ice cream and I'm giving all that crap up. D: So we left! Yay.

I could never join the church, but it would be nice to go there and listen to things, I loved it when the kids played the bells. ^_^

Joining the church would be making a commitment I couldn't keep, a lie. D: Because I don't exactly believe in everythign the evangelical immanuel lutheran church preachse.

What I do appreciate is the benefits church brings to these people- an opportunity to express themselves through music, song, and writing, a community of people you can feel connected to, and benefits the kids get from having the small church school atmosphere. 3nodding

I don't sing very well, but I liked singing hymns and stuff. XD

I remember when I was ten and living in missouri- I think it was a catholic church that would lure the local kids in with candy and ice cream and-

Wait, this is a normal, happy story, I promise. XD

- and we'd have to sit through like a summer bible/music/learning lesson on thursdays/fridays, and then we'd get like two cookies or some ice cream. :O And that was like, the ultimate thing-to-do in the population of less than 300-500 town I lived in when I was that age. XD

Hm... stupid phone still isn't working... and I know it should work because mom dialed out with her work machine from the phone jack. D:
Wow, so I can switch electric over, but they watn me to pay the $300 owed, because she said it was because I used it too.

So I'm going to argue that I should only have to pay half then. 3nodding And we'll see what kind of thing we can work out.

I'm going to get the gas switched over to me- the only thing is that the land lord will have to pay the 700 owed then. And I can only pay 200 of it right now, and will have to pay him the $500 back...

Mom had owed him $1600.... 800 for the gas, 800 in rent. But she paid 500 in gas, and I just paid 400 for this month's rent.

So that's down to 700, plus he said he'd give me a month for free, so that's 300, plus 400 on the gas, so basically 700 again. XD

I don't really care about sharing bills/money amounts, I'm not ashamed or anythign..

But gas is only $52 a month right now (A lot less if I cut back) .... $52 for electric, 400 for rent, 20 for internet/phone? I have to check on that. So I need like... $600 a month to live without being able to pay much back, which isn't too bad.

I hope to work with them on the gas, if just to pay a very little bit...

The only thing is I'm applying for jobs, but if the phone won't work, how do they contact me? And I think the cellphone is going to get shut off today, because they want payment every month o they shut it off, no late stuff... xP And I'm not paying the $83 on that... my uncle's going to get me one of those cellphones where you just pay for the minutes you use, like $20-30 every 3 months, which is better because I don't need all the stuff my mom did. Just waiting to call everyone first before I call alltel and lose the phone...

xP I hope I can get some help setting up the phone.. maybe Liz's dad? biggrin

Ooooh.... kthen. biggrin THe landlord didn't try to screw me over, and I just have... disney movies, some book club thing, trash, all-tel, and mabye the phone/internet to call. Yay! Oh and Gas and electric.

All the jobs I'm applying for are within like a mile/2 miles from my house, so easy walking or biking until I can drive. It's just this phone thing that I need to figure out.... *Sigh*

Those pay-as-you-go phones are AMAZING if you just need them for emergencies and things like an employer calling. You can get them at any Wal-Mart, and after charging it the first time (often six hours) they are as functional as any other phone. Most have texting, too, for .5 minutes each. (Averagely, the price is ten to twenty cents a minute, and you can’t go over your minutes so there aren’t additional hidden fees; not to mention you sign nothing, so it isn’t like you’re on a contract.) We’ll probably be getting one if we can’t get our own cellphones turned back on next month. XP We’ve had them before.

$30 and you’ll have a phone with 300 minutes. You’ll just need a ride to Wal-Mart. (Set-Up is a snap, too; you charge it, put in the codes provided, and it gives you your number and shows you how to add minutes from purchasing additional minutes cards.)

And definitely argue that you only owe half of the electric.

Pshaw, bills aren’t anything to be embarrassed about anyway. XP We all owe them eventually, you know?

Also, good luck on applying for jobs - you could also call some of them back, and cheerfully ask a manager if he was able to look over your application yet, because “I’m very interested in a position.” I’m applying at a grocery store that’s about to open up, and won’t stop harassing them until they hire me. X3 One of my mother’s coworkers at the store was hired for doing that.

Do you guys make sure to unplug appliances/the computer when you're not using them? I think it's literally saved us $25 a month for electric. :O And Gas should go down too soon, because it's getting hotter, biggrin Yay!

Went into the garage and went through the few keep boxes in there... and found a plastic see-through tote to put all the old pictures in, so they wouldn't warp or anything. biggrin Holy s**t though...

... it really is huge. And I own so much more stuff now than I can handle, seriously.... there's so much stuff it's unbelievable. D:
