"This city," Sibyl declared with a soft smile that was by no means encroaching or suggestive but simply innocent and genuine, "is practically the size of a country so though I've been here for a year I have no idea where anything is, really. I just follow my nose if I'm hungry and if I'm looking for a certain person then I follow their scent. I've been trained to lock onto smells, it's why I'm an expert tracker. I can block out all other smells but one or dull them to the point that a specific scent becomes focal and I can follow it for miles. It's why I'm excellent at killing vampires."
The way she said that she was excellent at killing vampires was not mentioned to impress, she stated it as a fact and casually at the same time. It was the truth and it happened to be relevant to the topic she'd began blubbering about and thus her reason for saying so. She was not fishing for compliments, not seeking praise, not waiting to be acknowledged for her accomplishments, she'd simply raised it off-handedly and was more than prepared to move onto other things.

Amnity brought her attention to Mephlius, feeling a sudden wave of relief that he was there. She buried her face into his shirt, focusing on him, and only his scent. "I'm hungry..." She muttered, trying to gain control over her hunger before she accidentally kills someone because of it.

Amnity tensed as the fan blew the human's scent to her again. She hugged Mephlius tighter, keeping herself from going crazy. "Can we leave now?....Please?" She begged.

The person working there quickly loaded the booze into the food cart, and gave Mephlius his change. "Thank you..." Mephlius said. Absanthe
Eden happened to be walking by the grocery store out on the sidewalk and her purple aviators and behind them her hazel eyes covered with purple contacts briefly glanced into the store. She saw a couple hugging and couldn't help but give a verbal sign of disapproval as she passed by, a disgusted sigh heaving off her shoulders as she tromped by. So yeah maybe she was a little jealous that the little unit was together and she was currently out in the cold wondering where the hell her half was but Valentines Day was over and she was sick of couples walking around and unintentionally rubbing in the fact that she had yet to figure out where the ******** Veroen was and if he was alright.
She hoped Lily hadn't finished her job and had eaten him or something but she was pretty certain that Veroen could hold his own. Being an assassin and whatnot usually called for having to be good at taking care of oneself but she had been reminded that immortals weren't as immortal as they boasted to be. However, she continued to fuss and worry inside the confines of her own mind and finally remembered that she was walking along the sidewalks and she had a much better chance of avoiding being hit by a car if she was paying attention to where she was walking.
Eden had passed the grocery store by now and was walking along the same street away from the store. She didn't know where she was going, she was going everywhere and no where, somewhere, somehow. It didn't really matter to her, it was all the same to her, there was abosolutely nothing to do in this Godforsaken city so she would continue trekking until at last her trekking paid off and she found some demon to kill or she ran into someone that she actually wanted to run into. However, since she was about the only person she knew of besides Stan and minus the noob hunters, the hopes of running into friends didn't seem very plausible at this moment for Edith.
Veroen silently krept in an alleyway next to the grocery store, watching his prey. He kept his only good eye open, watching her every movement. his dept perception was a little off, but he was used to only having one eye now, and could easily judge dept and distance. He crouched a bit, leaning fowrad in the darkness, and as soon as Edith passed the alleyway, he walked out, himself, and smiled, revealing his rght fang a little. Of course he was just going messing with her, just acting like she was the prey. He wasn't very good at joking around, and rarely did it. But he had missed her, and felt it was the appropriate time to mess with the girl he loved.
He began walking behind her, waiting for her to notice him. He silently tried to keep his smile to himself, as he reached froward a bit with both of his hands, and grabbed her on the waist suddenly, with a bit of force, trying to startle her.

Eden had been distracted, wandering in and out of thoughts, doubts, worries, hopes, dreams, all the kinds of things that humans like her thought about and worried about and stressed about. She wasn't different from other humans in that aspect by any means and her thoughts had managed to distract her yet again though she'd at least managed to cross the street successfully without killing herself or someone else. However, when Veroen grabbed her by the waist from behind she freaked out at first and reeled around about to swing a punch at his face when her fist practically crumbled to pieces midair and fell to her side for a moment as she stared in confusion and registered she wasn't sleep-deprived.
Once she decided she wasn't going insane Meredith, where she might have contemplated yelling at him was much too relieved to know that he was safe and that nothing had happened to him, grabbed him and crushed him in a gigantic bear hug. She'd pulled her newly commissioned aviators up and they now rested on top of her head as she affectionately nuzzled him, her cheek tenderly brushing against his neck. She didn't need to verbalize the fact that she'd missed him, her response did all the talking for her.

Veroen's smile grew whenever she turned around, ready to sock him square in the face. He made no attempts to prepare for the strike, but looked down at her instead with a calm stare, with an added smile. He quickly embraced her back as she did the same, and he smiled gently for a moment, as he and she embraced each other firmly. He was careful to not hug her too tightly, still keeping in mind that he could crush her bones easily from being a vampire for almost 6 centuries. He was silent, as he held her in his arms, happy to see her again.

She nuzzled him for a long while and planted a number of kisses on his neck and chin before finally meeting his lips and pulling back with a smile and a relieved, contented sigh. "You had me," she said though she was still smiling, "worried sick. I had no idea where the ******** you went and I thought maybe that crazy b***h vampire got you or something or that you got burnt or that the FBI got you or something really crazy and ******** up like that. I'd say you owe me at least a tiny explanation since I was worrying my a** off and was bored out of my mind all by myself for a solid week."
It was clear she was significantly more concerned than angry but more than anything her hazel eyes gleamed with delight upon her love's return. This was made even more evident because she was still holding him in a vice grip and was practically refusing to let him go. Of course, she knew that it wouldn't harm him because he was a vampire so she'd squeezed with all her might. And after asking him her question she rested her chin gently on his chest and looked up at him expectantly with her hazel eyes.

Veroen silently smiled as she planted a number of kisses on his neck, and then smiled even bigger when she planted one on his lips. He then looked down at her with a large smile as she looked up at him, after asking him her question. He silently looked into her eyes for a moment, happy to see her again.
He then answered in his smooth voice, "I took a bit of a short hibernation, to recover from the long period of time i went without blood." He smiled down at her, and added, "Sorry, i didn't think it would be that long." He then leaned down toward her face, and at the same time, lifted her chin up with his right hand, the other still around her waist. He then slowly kissed her again passionately, making up for lost time.

"It's fine, you just worried the living s**t out of me is all. I'm just glad you're back and nothing happened to you, makes my day."
She couldn't help but be dazzled by his charming smile that she'd never seen him wear until she'd somehow finally done something right in her life though at first it'd probably seemed like it was something she'd horrifically screwed up. After all, most people didn't exactly expect to be almost drained by a vampire when they were a hunter of all things and end up falling for the same vampire that'd almost killed them. Well, she'd done just that and though Veroen had almost drained her she wouldn't have been able to hold it against him even if they weren't here together now, even if they hadn't been granted the chance to figure out they loved one another.
When he lifted her chin she made no move to fight his gentle instruction and as his lips came to hers she smiled softly and returned his passion, standing on her tip toes and wrapping her arms around his neck. Another moment she would lock into the vault of moments she wished were not fleeting but eternal. Of course, though, all good things eventually came to an end and she softly pulled away, taking one of his hands into her own as she rested her head on his shoulder, still basking in the closeness of him. He hadn't abandoned her after all and deep down she'd believed he hadn't.

Veroen silently held his hand in hers, as she laid her head on his shoulder. He looked down for a moment away from her with a slight grin, taking in the moment, and enjoying it. He then looked up and his gaze turned off into the distance, losing himself in thought, thought of Edith, and her touch, and the way things felt when he was with her. He enjoyed it, and was not afraid of anything like this. She had changed him, alot in fact. He was once cold hearted, and had no mercy for humans, nor lycan's for that matter. Now, he was actually in love with a human, and had befriended a few Lycan's. Not to mention she had a Lycan pup growing inside her. He quickly directed his thought elsewhere, trying not to think about that.
He then looked down slightly, hugging her closer with his free hand. The smile still held its position on his face, seeming to never end.

She looked up at him again, her hazel eyes grinning as much as her mouth was as she inspected him and lost herself in the features of his face. Eden was one of those people that couldn't help but inspect people's faces for she found that they were what always made a person seem the most unique, especially the eyes and right now she was gazing into Veroen's remaining eye, just happy and content with all things to have him back. It was slightly embarrassing but she had been to the cathedral a few times to pray for his well-being and for God to keep him safe and apparently she'd prayed with enough fervence because she was holding him this very moment.
"You know you have a very pretty smile when you actually bother to smile."
The huntress then playfully poked his nose and gave him one more gigantic squeeze before she allowed him some space though she'd taken his hand into hers. She had no idea what they were going to do now that Veroen was back since she hadn't exactly planned to do anything today aside from be the scrooge she normally was and patrol around in the hopes that something might actually happen. However, now something had happened though it hadn't been anticipated and her heart was gently fluttering along faster than it normally did but it wasn't beating horrifically fast now that she'd calmed down from being surprised by him.
"So what exactly are your plans for today?"

His smile's life span was extended when Eden commented on it being pretty. Veroen chuckled a bit after thinking about it for a moment. He then looked down at her, after she asked him what his plans were. Honestly, he had none.
"Hmm.. I don't have any actually..." He said with a thoughtful expression, in his smooth semi deep voice. He then turned his sttention back to her, and reflected the same question back to her.
"What about you?" He finshed the question with a calming expression, looking at her and loosing himself in her hazel eyes, with his own crimson eye.

"Well my initial plan involved skulking around and being a b***h to everyone that happened to piss me off and patrol while praying for something to shoot but you came along and I decided you're much better than something to shoot."
She smiled at him and winked playfully then looked down the street, holding his hand in hers as if afraid he would vanish if she didn't have some form of physical contact with him at all times. It was horrifically evident that she was an overly protective person with a gigantic heart and thresh hold of forgiveness. Hating was not something that Eden was really capable of and whether that was a curse or a luxury all seemed to depend upon whom she befriended and who she loved.
"Maybe I should go find Mr. Dumb a** Mac Rover and kick his a**. I found that sorry pathetic excuse for a wolf passed out down in the sewers and even after he tried to kill you and my baby I ******** helped him as opposed to shoot him. Something's seriously wrong with me!"
