Ceon knew something bad was going to happen when the SWAT members vrought giant nets and tranq launchers. 25 tranq darts were shot out in a volley at Ceon as he was ripping up a police officer. Ten of the darts filled with elephant tranquilizer pierced his skin, and instantly he felt woozy. He went into a wobbling sprint and leaped into the open manhole in the middle of the street.

After carrying herself a good long ways down the sewer, Eden had finally decided that she was going to get out of the dirty place for dogs like Ceon and head off somewhere else. She decided that just because Ceon was an a** hole didn't mean that he was going to throw her off and make her unhappy too. At the moment she had no idea where Veroen was and she was hoping to meet up with him but for now Starbucks existed to console and focus her.

She walked to the place that she had a clear addiction for and ordered another London Fog, completely forgetting that she and Veroen had been the cause of the whole place being busted up. The clerks now looked at and eyed her warily for they now knew that she was actually legit in her hunting abilities and hadn't just been posing or boasting with her huge-a** battle axe. They seemed kind of scared of her now but she didn't really seem to notice.

While walking along the streets with her coffee, Meredith realized that though she had her purple contacts in that she'd friggin' lost her purple aviators that she loved to death and that pissed her off. She was going to have to go find another pair and snag them quickly. The fact was she was going to have to go get another pair custom-made so that she could have them again and those old aviators had cost a fortune already so Meredith wasn't exactly looking forward to replacing them, however, she wanted them back and that was that. Prime mom material she was, she knew, she knew.

As she walked, though, she ventured farther and farther away from the heart of the city and closer and closer to the residential areas until she was surrounded on all sides by houses as opposed to scy scrapers and whatnot and that was when she heard what could have been a shot and a very loud shriek.

Yet again the rather bulky huntress found herself heading on over to what had to be her favourite joint in the world since she was there at least four times a week, Starbucks. It was no surprise to her as she instinctively began navigating the streets in order to get to the place and when she arrived at the small cafe there was no surprise from the workers there when she walked through the door. She decided that she was simply going to get something that wasn't overly complicated to make, not that she knew which was harder to make and which wasn't but she ordered a Vanilla Rooibis tea and quietly waited at the other end of the counter for someone to announce the title of the drink and then hand it to her.

She slapped her money down on the counter and told them to keep the change when they proceeded to bring her the tea she'd ordered. As usual they smiled and said thank you and Eden just nodded to acknowledge that she heard and walked out of the joint while sipping her tea. She opened the door with one hand and proceeded to walk along the streets where she watched the steam from her drink rise and contrast with the briskness of winter.

As she walked around she took note of all the signs promoting Valentines Day and she couldn't help but sigh. Yet another Valentines she was going to spend alone since her last Valentines Tokeru had somehow managed to disappear for the day as well. Oh well, after twenty consecutive years of spending the self-promoting event alone she wasn't all that surprised that she was here walking the streets of New York by herself with her tea. Of course, she'd rather be walking and gabbing to Veroen about something but she was certain he had his reasons for not being there. She missed him and had been waiting around for him ever since they'd parted and she'd taken a few days off but so far there'd been nothing.

The lone huntress casually sipped her tea as she walked along and remembered that she still had to replace her violent lensed sunglasses and that she was probably best to get that over with. She headed over to a store where she found the pair of aviators she'd purchased and asked them to make the lenses purple. The appointment didn't take too horrifically long and soon enough she was back outside roaming the sidewalks with absolutely nothing to do and no tea since she'd finished it during her little appointment at the eyewear store.

This was going to be a very long, bland day ... "Mommy's got nothing to do, kiddo. There's no one out to hunt or anything. This is ridiculous."

It seemed the woman who Aiden had met at the docks had vanished from him. He only turned back to grab his suitcase, and when he turned to the woman she was gone. So Aiden decided to just wander the streets of the city and find a place to eat. He was actually hungry, but maybe it was not polite of him to interrupt the woman.

Aiden walked in the sidewalks, blending his being with the humans that roamed the nights. The honey colored hues scanned the path before him, using his nose to find a meal worth his time.

Though Sibyl was pretty flustered and very antsy she remembered herself enough to correct her current form and shift to her humanoid form seeing as a miscoloured wolf stalking the streets of New York city was more than bound to attract unwanted attention. She hated attention in the first place but right now she wanted abosolutely none of it because where as attention was bad before it was horrible now because she was giving off those special pheromones that only came around two months of the year. Only lycans and those with sensitive noses would pick up on it but only male lycans were her concern.

Even though it wasn't the brightest idea to be roaming about when she was in heat since not all males had the self-control that Jaden and Duke had, she decided that she was faster than any of them so if it came down to a chase she would surely be the victor in a match of that. To fight or to flee, that was the decision her instinct always posed her with and in a situation such as that one she would certainly flee because she couldn't trust her instincts right now. To reproduce was to survive and her instinct even now was urging her to do so.

That was when Sibyl caught sight of the lycan, Aiden, whom she'd met just before she'd gone into heat, hence her reason for running away. She knew it was rude and that he was probably offended but she decided she at least owed him an explanation and an apology. It wasn't as if she couldn't run away from him if he went berserk and tried to mate with her because he could smell she was in heat and he was a fertile male. Whether he was young or old, she didn't know for sure so she wasn't certain how sophistocated his self control had come to be. However, she was prepared at any moment to flee when she approached him.

The wolven girl approached him from the side and began to walk in sync with him since approaching from behind was unwise whether the person was human or demon. "I'm really," Sibyl's soft voice quietly and legitimately exclaimed, "sorry about running away. I'm ... I'm in heat and I got scared and ran away. I'm going to have to run away if you're self-control is overridden too but I felt it was polite to at least explain why and to say sorry."

It was clear the girl was ready to bound away at the slightest jerky movement for she was on her toes and she was watching his body language intently, waiting for the slightest of movements to suggest that he was going to give chase or attempt to mount her. Her arms weren't at her sides, they were held at waist level in order to assist her in pivoting and making a break for it faster. In a situation like this reaction time was critical and she was prepared to react as soon as he made a wrong movement.

Amnity opened the door for him from inside the store, grinning, basically just showing off that she got there 10 seconds before him. "Do you want to get beer or Vodka?" She asked, heading for the liqueur section of the store first.

Meredith was walking the streets, for once not instinctively heading to Starbucks, instead she was heading over to the eyewear store where she'd placed her order the previous day for her violet lensed aviators. After all, she'd lost the original pair and she'd loved them so she was quite intent on replacing them and seeing as she had nothing better to do she would focus on petty little aspects of her life such as purple sunglasses she'd accidentally left in a car after a vampire had almost drained her dry. The encounter wasn't about to keep her down and out and it'd been accidental so she wasn't too terribly peeved over the fact that she'd lost her glasses. However, she was rather disappointed that that same vampire had fallen for her and vice versa and he'd been a no show on Valentines Day of all days but she figured it would be just her luck.

Instead she was out here in the streets patiently walking to her appointment in order to pick up her specially ordered glasses. It was pretty surprising that they'd managed to commision them in a day but she wasn't about to complain. This gave her something to do with herself while absolutely nothing was happening because everyone had gone into hiding and everyone that hadn't was being handled by the FBI. She was free to walk around without people gawking at the huge-a** battle axe on her back now and she found that rather amusing.

Pretty soon Eden was making her way inside the store where she'd placed her order and she picked it up and paid for her expensive glasses in no time flat and was out the door with her new pair of purple aviators before anything of significance could possibly occur. The entire time she'd been with the lady she'd seemed like she was in a hurry when she really had nothing to do but that was just the thing. She was constantly out on the streets now, not wanting to miss a thing in case a calling happened to come where she could actually perform her duty. She was starting to get out of practice from all this nonsense and it was starting to piss her off.

Mephlius grabbed a cart, and followed after her. "I encourage variety." He smiled, grabbing a dozen or so bottles of Vodka, before grabbing some 12 packs of beer.

It did not take long for Aiden's powerful nose to pick up the scent of Sibyl. Since she was in heat Aiden't instincts quickly picked up the woman's pheromones that intoxicated him from the far. So the man quickly picked it up but he did not react, not even to reveal to the woman that he knew she was trailing him. The lycanthrope was level-headed under any situation, that included being around a woman in heat. He had so much self-control because of the way he was trained, he was forced to achieve complete control of himself.

So Aiden was walking through the street, passing beside a long pitch black alley. He figured it was there that the woman began to follow him, but he paid no attention until she wanted herself to be found. He waited for her to begin walking beside him and talk to him.

He heard her words intently, he figured that she would be very defensive under her current state so he made sure not to do any abrupt movement. So he simply turned his head as she spoke. It was obvious now that she was in heat, so he understood why she left- not that he minded.

"Do not worry about it". Aiden replied softly as he kept walking. Even if the woman had reappeared, he wanted to feed himself.

Since Aiden seemed to be calm and hardly seemed to notice that she was in heat, Sibyl decided he was safe to be around and that he probably had more self-control than she'd been willing to believe when she'd initially started panicking. Now that she'd apologized and now that she remembered she'd been intending to find something to eat she decided to tag along with the lycan since she was bored and was fairly social, being a wolf and whatnot she was pretty accustomed to having pack members but at the same time she'd been a lone wolf so she was self-reliant and not fully dependent upon a pack as some were.

Seeing as Aiden was fairly quiet Sibyl wasn't sure whether she was supposed to initiate conversation or not and the thought that he might not want her following him didn't really occur to her. The thought that her tagging along with him might strike him as suspicious or weird didn't occur to her either and she merely tagged alongside him in silence but for the soft, quick breaths she took and the quiet padding of her feet against the ground as she walked.

Amnity smiled, heading for a different aisle. "I'll go get some actual food." She laughed. The lycan looked around, taking a few things from the store and putting them in the cart. Her stomach growled a bit. She cringed, biting her lip, then continued to the counter. Her hunger was beginning to get to her, but she managed to control it momentarily, comforting herself with the thought that she will eat soon anyway. The air in the badly air conditioned store made her more tense, but she just ignored it all. There was barely anyone else in the store, probably only Amnity, her husband, and the teenage kid behind the cash register.
"That would be 35.67..." The boy said in an obviously monotonous voice.
"My husband has the money...He'll be right-" As she spoke, the fan that was on behind the kid blew his scent over to her. His human....Appetizing scent. Amnity's eyes widened, then narrowed dangerously. Adrenaline began pumping through her veins, the werewolf inside her screaming for her to attack, kill, eat. No...Stop it... She scolded herself. The lycan kept herself steady by clenching onto the metal counter, almost denting the aluminum with her grip.
Even the kid felt tense seeing the woman with silver hair and piercing red eyes glaring at him. "Umm...Ma'am? Are you alright?"

Mephlius came around with his cart full of booze. He saw Amnity, and walked calmly up to her side. He put his arms around her. "Sshhh... it's okay honey. Relax..." He casually put down a $50 bill, while hugging her tight.

Aiden's nose continued to actively filter the smells from the vicinity, trying to find a location worthwhile. But the truth is that the man did not have a clue where he was going, the city had a cornucopia of smells. So it was nearly imposible for him to simply pick out a smell and location with just his nose.

So the man turned his head towards Sybil once again, smiling slightly. "I have no idea where I am going." The man declared with a light tone.

Eden happened to be walking by the grocery store out on the sidewalk and her purple aviators and behind them her hazel eyes covered with purple contacts briefly glanced into the store. She saw a couple hugging and couldn't help but give a verbal sign of disapproval as she passed by, a disgusted sigh heaving off her shoulders as she tromped by. So yeah maybe she was a little jealous that the little unit was together and she was currently out in the cold wondering where the hell her half was but Valentines Day was over and she was sick of couples walking around and unintentionally rubbing in the fact that she had yet to figure out where the ******** Veroen was and if he was alright.

She hoped Lily hadn't finished her job and had eaten him or something but she was pretty certain that Veroen could hold his own. Being an assassin and whatnot usually called for having to be good at taking care of oneself but she had been reminded that immortals weren't as immortal as they boasted to be. However, she continued to fuss and worry inside the confines of her own mind and finally remembered that she was walking along the sidewalks and she had a much better chance of avoiding being hit by a car if she was paying attention to where she was walking.

Eden had passed the grocery store by now and was walking along the same street away from the store. She didn't know where she was going, she was going everywhere and no where, somewhere, somehow. It didn't really matter to her, it was all the same to her, there was abosolutely nothing to do in this Godforsaken city so she would continue trekking until at last her trekking paid off and she found some demon to kill or she ran into someone that she actually wanted to run into. However, since she was about the only person she knew of besides Stan and minus the noob hunters, the hopes of running into friends didn't seem very plausible at this moment for Edith.
