The Nidorino lowered his head and thrust his horn underneath the Geodude, sending her tumbling up and over and over again until she landed upside down with a thud. Her eyes opened wide, and she flailed her rocky arms around angrily as she turned to glare at the perpetrator that had awoken her. "Geo!" she shouted, righting herself and smashing her fists together. "Geo! Duude!"

"It's about time," Keegan sighed, shaking his head as the Geodude continued to throw a temper tantrum from being woken up from her nap. Her flailing somehow enabled her to dodge another oncoming Tackle from the Nidorino, who pivoted and pawed the ground, readying himself to charge again. "Defense Curl!" the redhead yelled, wondering if the boy had plans to change his attacking strategy any time soon. He managed to catch sight of Rosemary taking down the Squirtle, and now about to battle against a Cubone. He didn't think it'd be a problem, seeing as the Bayleef still held the advantage. Go get 'em, Rosemary, he thought, his gaze shifting from Kasiya's battle back to his own again.

Tierra curled up into a tight ball, and she kept her eyes fixed on the Nidorino as it began to charge at her again. It repeated its previous attempt of sending her flying, but the Geodude refused to budge, and instead, grabbed a hold of the Nidorino's horn with one strong hand, and bashed it in the face with the other - Rock Smash.

"Snap out of it, girl!" Kasiya told her Pokemon encouragingly. "It's just trying to scare you!"

Rosemary didn't seem convinced though, and continued to back away from the growling Cubone, shaking with fright. Jake grinned, and pointed at the Bayleef. "Now Cubone! Smash it with your Headbutt!" The small Pokemon lowered its head and charged forward, keeping its bone club low to the ground as it prepared to ram itself into the larger Bayleef.

"Reflect!" Kasiya shouted desperately, praying that the Bayleef would respond in time. Rosemary hesitated, still trembling as the Pokemon neared her. She focused, and the glowing wall began to form in front of her. The Cubone charged right through it, shattering the wall before it was fully formed, and slammed right into the Pokemon's side. Rosemary cried out as she was thrown backwards, landing painfully at Kasiya's feet. The trainer knelt beside her Pokemon, who was still shaking slightly. "It's all right, Sweetie," she told the Bayleef. "You did your best." She patted the Bayleef's head gently before recalling her into her Pokeball, and she stood up, looking at the Cubone fearfully. Now what? My best chance at taking that thing down is gone now... She sighed, going over her Pokemon team in her mind. She could send out Flash and hope his Hidden Power Ice could overcome it, but she didn't want to risk the Jolteon being KO'd by the Cubone's powerful Ground-type attacks. Another idea came to mind, and she reached for another Pokeball, swallowing hard as she let it fly.

"That's more like it," Keegan nodded, glad that Tierra had decided to fight back. Unfortunately, Rock Smash wasn't very effective against the Nidorino, but it caused the Pokemon to back off and rethink its strategy. It retreated back towards its trainer, looking over its shoulder at the Geodude with obvious indignation.

"If that's not gonna work... try your Double Kick!" the boy hollered, and once again the Nidorino was on the charge.

Keegan frowned, remembering that the attack had been effective even when coming from Flash, and Jolteon weren't known for their physical prowess. "Defense Curl!" he cried, hoping that another boost in the Geodude's defense would help to sustain the damage sure to come.

Tierra curled into a ball again, but this time, she began to spin in place, sending small chunks of rock from her body to fly off in random directions. When she stopped, her body was much rounder and smoother in most places, not to mention that it had a noticeable shine to it. As the Nidorino closed in on her, her newly rounded body seemed to react faster, and she rolled off to the side with ease, avoiding the Double Kick altogether.

Oh please let me not be making a huge mistake... Kasiya thought fearfully as the small blue form of a Mudkip formed before her. Leviathan stretched and yawned, looking up at Kasiya and wagging her tail fin happily at the sight of the girl. "Hello to you too, Levi," she giggled as the small, cute Pokemon jumped up into her arms. "Now isn't the time for cuddles though." She turned towards Jake and his Cubone, and Levi nodded, understanding completely. She hopped down from Kasiya's arms and faced the Cubone, who was only the tiniest bit taller than the Mudkip.

"Show me what you can do, okay Levi?" Kasiya asked, only to receive a happy chirp from the Mudkip as a reply. "Dante said you could handle yourself in a battle, now prove it to me! Get things started with Ice Ball!" The baby Mudkip's techniques were still fresh in her mind from studying, and she had made a mental note to herself about Levi's special egg move. The adorable little Pokemon curled herself into a ball and began to roll forward. The pores of her skin began to excrete pure water, which quickly spread about her body before freezing solidly. The icy ball that was Levi rolled faster and faster until she rammed into the Cubone like it was a bowling pin, sending the Ground-type reeling.

"Hang in there, Cubone!" Jake called out. "Use your Bone Club to knock it away!"

"Cuu bonebone!" was the cry uttered as the Cubone jumped back to its feet and swung the bone at Levi not unlike a professional golfer. The ice-covered Mudkip flew back only a few feet, having gained several pounds of ice, which acted like a weighted shield. More water covered her body and the ball grew a little larger as she rolled forward, gaining momentum and preparing to attack again.

Crenu half expected another Dragon Claw, but it seemed that Ky didn't witness what he did. "Heh, now Poliwag Ice Beam! Spread it out over the bubbles and pull back the power, just like the training!" Totodile had blasted away a line in the bubbles, but it didn't matter. Crenu's plan was still on track. Poliwag planted his feet and tail in the ground as he began to charge the ball of frozen energy in front of him. This time however, he did not gather all the energy he normally would before unleashing the beam, the jagged energy spreading out in random directions. Poliwag winced a little as he forced the beam to scatter wider and when he as done he panted rather heavily. A weaker beam was more energy efficient, but full control was difficult due to the fact that this move was forced into him via TM. the beam spread out and burst some of the bubbles as it shot upwards, fragments shooting out and icing up the ground a little. But the major effect here was that the fog of bubbles around them had now frozen over and began to plummet to the ground, Poliwag had frozen all of the bubbles near them and even most of the ones that hovered high above.

As soon as Crenu spoke, Ky closed his eyes as his brain ran a mile a minute, deciphering Crenu's plan. "Bubbles; Ice Beam; frozen Bubbles; heavy Bubbles; Bubbles fall!" Ky thought in a panic. By that time, the Ice Beam had done its effect. Rex took a step back as he looked up, not sure what to do as the frozen spheres formed... "Water Gun, no; not strong enough; he'll get hit for sure; he'll get hit for..."

"REX! RAGE!!!" Ky screamed at the last moment.

Luckily for Rex, Ky's words rang clear as he braced for impact. As soon as the first ice ball crashed painfully onto Rex's skull, Rex let his anger consume him to the point that a faint red glow surrounded him. One, two, three more landed before Rex couldn't stand it anymore. The ice shards were cutting his skin and bruising his muscles, and here that little tadpole was hiding like a coward...

"TOOO... TOOO... DILE!" Rex screeched as he charged with reckless speed, feeling but ignoring the continual barrage of ice nailing him from above as well as the sharp shards digging into his feet from below. Though the constant blows to his head would have dizzied him normally, he let the pain fuel his anger to focus both his eyes and his strength. As soon as the Poliwag came into view, Rex dashed at him just like before, diving with his claws slashing madly, hoping to do equal damage to it as the ice had done to him.

"What was that?" Keegan blinked, watching the now-faster Geodude roll out of the way of another oncoming Tackle (it seemed that this particular Nidorino wasn't the brightest of Pokemon). "Well, whatever it was it worked..." he trailed off, spotting the misandristic Mudkip out of the corner of his eye. She seemed to have somehow turned herself into a ball of ice and was attacking. Interesting, he thought, shrugging. He hadn't figured Kasiya to be ready to use Levi in battle yet, but it seemed he'd been wrong about that.

"Shake things up, Tierra!" he called out, going back to his own battle again. "Use Magnitude!" Recalling just how much the ground had shaken last time, he braced himself as the Geodude raised her fists and brought them both down on the ground. This time, the attack wasn't nearly as good, as it was probably the weakest Magnitude could possibly get. Keegan frowned, hating the randomness of the attack. The Nidorino staggered a bit, but looked quite ready to continue.

"Double Kick again!" the boy shouted, and the Nidorino charged. This time, two solid kicks from its hind legs were landed right in the Geodude's face, and she flailed her arms, trying to swat the offending Pokemon away from her.

"Are you just gonna throw a temper tantrum now! I thought you grew up some Ky! Poliwag, Double Slap now, go for the ice balls!" Poliwag barley had time to react as Totodile began to be over taken by fury. Leaping into the air as high as he could, Poliwag began to slap ball after ball with his tail at Totodile. He too was in the danger path of the ice, but with circular motions he was able to knock away most of the ice balls around him and direct them at Totodile, taking minimal damage from his own combination as he tried to deter the raging pokemon from his current target.

Ky mainly ignored Crenu's comment as he focused on the battle. Rage was much more than a tantrum and he knew Crenu was just in it for the tease. Grown up indeed. "Get him Rex!" Ky called out, knowing there was little time to give a detailed command.

Though Rex was in a Rage, it did not dull his senses enough to not notice the Poliwag's counterattack. As he sped forward, he did his best to shield his face by slashing at the incoming ice balls. Though it was impossible to stop every single one, the ones that did hit him only added to his Rage. The barrage would have easily tired him normally, but now that he was driven by pure adrenaline, the attack wasn't enough to deter him. The distance between the two Pokemon soon closed and all that was left was Rex's momentum and Crenu's Poliwag. Raising his claw once again, Rex dove to strike with his claw.

It was a hard hit that Poliwag received as the rage fueled assault connected. Crenu had hoped that the Totodile was still a bit green in battling and that Ky would be taken aback by the odd attack pattern, but Crenu had not counted on a rage attack. Going on injury from the Dragon Claw, the Rage that had been powered up by every hit landed devastating damage. Poliwag rolled back several feet and attempted to rise, but could only keep himself from falling over by leaning on a quivering tail. Poliwag panted heavily, and every attempt to move from the current spot was in vain. Dodging at this point was futile, and another hit like the last would be overkill. "Heh, aright then Poliwag, this is our last move. Give it all you got Poliwag, Hypnosis!" Poliwag delayed for a second, but pushed himself a little higher off of the ground with is tail to get a more direct view of Totodile. With tremendous strain, Poliwag began to emit hypnotic suggestions using the spiral on his body as an enhancing visual aid. The signal was weak, he could not muster enough concentration for a full powered Hypnosis, but if he could make Totodile a little drowsy or even calm him a little, then all was not in vain. He could do nothing more, he was setting up for a hit and he knew it, but all that mattered was the greater good and that he do what he must for the sake of the team. What only took moments seemed like an eternity to Poliwag and when it finally ended, he could only see the darkness of his eyelids as the return beam flooded over him. "Not bad Ky. Rage was a logical choice, if I do say so myself."

"That's the way!" Kasiya cheered, realizing that she wasn't surprised at how well Levi was doing. The young Mudkip kept her momentum up, and she took careful aim and slammed into the Cubone for a second time. Kasiya couldn't help but notice that this time, the attack dealt more damage, and once again another layer of water quickly froze around the small Pokemon, making the Ice Ball bigger. The Cubone was noticeably staggered as it tried to recover from the attack. It growled, stomping its feet in frustration from the fast-moving Mudkip.

"Don't let them get to you, Cubone!" Jake shouted. "Use your Headbutt to stop that Mudkip in its tracks!" Still growling angrily, the Cubone lowered its head as Levi came around for another attempt at striking the Cubone. The Ground-type had other ideas though, and it charged forward, aiming for the oncoming ball of ice.

Shards of ice flew off in all directions as the Cubone's attack hit, stopping Levi's icy assault like a brick wall. The baby Mudkip let out a cry, but Kasiya couldn't tell if she was hurt or just plain angry.

The Nidorino did retreat a few steps, and it snorted at Tierra as it reached its trainer and had turned to glare at the Geodude once more. "We'll just have to keep hitting it," the boy told his Pokemon. "Horn Attack! Go!"

The Nidorino pawed the ground a few times before it charged forward, lowering its horn as it prepared to attack the Geodude. Keegan watched as the attacking Pokemon thrust its horn underneath Tierra, just like the first time. Keegan's eyes lit up at this, as he had an idea, so long as Tierra could react in time.

"Let it get you into the air, Tierra!" he shouted. "Then come back down on it with a Rock Throw!"

Nodding, the Geodude hunkered down and prepared to go airborne. When she did, she wrapped her arms around herself in order to get less air resistance when she started to fall. As planned, the Geodude plummeted to the ground, pinpointing the Nidorino as her target. Keegan winced and averted his eyes as so not to witness the impact, accented by a heavy thud and a screech of pain from the Nidorino.

What else can she do... Kasiya thought, watching as Levi jumped out of the way of an oncoming Bone Club attack from the Cubone. Perhaps Levi had a bit more battle experience than she'd initially thought. Kasiya eyed the Cubone for a second, realizing that it had been weakened quite a bit from those two Ice Ball strikes. It shouldn't take much more to bring it down, she thought, watching again as the Mudkip taunted her enemy.

"Okay Levi, let him have it! Water Gun!" she shouted, and the little blue Pokemon was quick to oblige, opening her mouth and firing out a fairly powerful blast of water. Mental note, see if she can learn Surf, or if Dante has already taught it to her, Kasiya thought again, smiling with satisfaction as the Cubone took another heavy hit, and was noticeably staggered and sluggish as it grew weaker and weaker.

"Bone Club!" Jake shouted, and the weakened Cubone dashed forward, water dripping from its body as it charged, raising its weapon, ready to strike.

Keegan looked up in time for the Nidorino to shove Tierra off of it, its legs quivering from the last hit. Keegan ran his hand through his red hair and raised a fist. "Finish it with Tackle attack!" he shouted, smirking as his Pokemon delivered the final hit, and the Nidorino went down. That ought to help Tierra's confidence, he thought, watching the Geodude celebrate by clapping her ruddy hands together.

The trainer recalled his Nidorino, smirking back at Keegan as he held up his second Pokeball. "Let's see you stand up to this! Go, Primeape! Turn that lump of rock to dust!" The spirited fighter appeared before its trainer, hopping from one foot to the other, and jabbing at the air with its fists. "Karate Chop! Do it now!"

Even Tierra's raised speed couldn't help her against the swift Primeape, and its fist landed a solid blow to the top of her head. The Geodude cried out, and countered with a Rock Smash as ordered by Keegan, although the attack paled in comparison to the Primeape's previous strike.

"Levi! Look out!" Kasiya squeaked out as the white bone lashed out and caught the little Mudkip on the side of the head. She was thrown back a few feet, but managed to make a semi-graceful landing, a large bump forming where she'd been hit. Time to call it quits, she thought, looking at the wobbly Mudkip with concern. "Okay, you win," Kasiya started to say, but was interrupted by a sharp cry from Levi. The little Pokemon had started to glow with a watery aura, much like the Squirtle had earlier in the battle. Is this... Torrent? she thought, having heard about the ability, but never seeing its effects firsthand. Levi let out another loud growl, and opened her mouth, retaliating with another powerful blast of water, but this one was fueled by her Torrent ability. The Cubone didn't even stand a chance from Levi's watery assault, and it toppled on the spot, its bone club lying motionless at its side.

She did it... Kasiya thought blankly, unable to fully take in Levi's victory. "You did it, Levi!" she shouted when it finally had started to sink it. "Nice work!" She scooped up the tired little Pokemon in her arms, and Levi's aura slowly dissipated. She snuggled into Kasiya, grateful for the chance to rest after those hits she'd taken.
