You only wear it when we go to Old Town St Charles but that's okay. I've been working on a Hufflepuff one for myself but for some reason, I don't have all the yarn I need and I can't afford to order more from the website so it might stay "not done" for eternity".

I guess we can't fully nerd out together xp

I have a pair of 5,5mm circular knitting needles, 73.5cm. Or if you want me to get all non-metric on you, size 9, 29 inches.

Hmm....

I've never seen a hat pattern with a 29 inch circular. Usually they're on shorter lengths or on DPN's. I'll keep an eye out though.

I'm sitting here taking work calls and this is our "today's special". Beyonce's mom selling her crap. Am I the only one who finds this boot rather ugly? It's presentable without the "covertible/calf" part but still...

I have ZERO fashion sense but I know I don't like that. Sometimes I wonder if I just don't know "what's hip" because I see so much ugly crap on this channel and women of all ages loving the hell out of some of it.

They only had the only length, and the needles were on sale.

Uhg. No, those boots are terrible. I don't even think they're presentable without the boot portion. That zipper looks like it would chop right into your foot and the heel zip is pointless. It gets lost in the snake skin pattern.

I like clothing that does a double duty of some kind, but that rarely means it's convertible. Reversible, hook up/belt up/tie up, multiform zippers, but never convertible. I've never seen a good pair of "pants into shorts!" or "sweater into t-shirt!" or "shorts into skirt!" (Yeah, I've seen that). There's a small number of convertible jackets that look good, but they're super well designed with hidden snap points. Now I can add "ugly boots become ugly shoes" to the list.

Glad to know I know when something sucks rofl

So.. Brian's been saving for a PS3 and Arkham Asylum for a long time. He got enough money so off we go to the town with the good walmart and the gamestop 45 mins away. We trade in a ******** of games. (newer ones too!) and our ps2 and get a whopping 65 bucks. Ripoff! No girl games at all for the Ps3 so this is going to be yet another thing that's only "for him". Boo..

We then went to Walmart and we got groceries for the week and the 27 dollar hdmi cable. We go to Michael's and get yarn and then 45 mins to home. We get here, unpack it all and realize that we have all the cold stuff but we don't have any of the boxed/canned items OR the HDMI cable. I called the place and they said to come back in the next few days. I'd go now but I don't want to ride out there alone and it's very aggravating. You can't tell me that the cashier didn't notice if all that stuff was left behind? At the very least, the lady with all the baby crap behind us should have said "hey, what's all this stuff?"

Lame. I'm so annoyed. Not to mention that Michael's didn't have the knitting/christmas stocking book I need. They never seem to have what I need. Lame a** store.

**edit**

It also seems like the wifi connection on the PS3 is damn shitty. We shall see

what about "little big Planet"? Granted it's gender neutral, but still.

What do you consider a "girl game"? There has to be some titles that you'd like to play!

I'm not sure the gender-specific-ness of the Ratchet and Clank games, but all of them are awesome. They're the only thing that makes me wish I had a PS3.

A friend of mine from college ended up getting in contact with me through Facebook when i mentioned the virus.

He connected to my laptop through remote access and fixed my computer. So after talking to him for a few hours and bambarding him with aggravating questions about "where did that icon go" and "what on here that i don't use can i delete without uninstalling," My laptop works!

All I have to do is take him out drinking the next time he's in state... Which might be a few years, unfortunately. Him and his wife are actually cool. xd

So, he talked me into waiting on buy a new computer, sense the freezing and other things that were happening could be from the multipale viruses.

He set me up with tighter security..... I'm thinking of waiting a few more weeks than estimated before making a solid desission of keeping this one... I guess time will tell.

Probably things that aren't first person shooters or sports games. From what I recall statistically speaking women are drawn most to racing games, which is largely in line with my experience as well as RPGs and puzzle games. Of course that varies a lot to individual tastes. I mean s**t I'm (allegedly) a guy, but I think Halo is mostly garbage and I haven't played a single sports title for the 360 yet (I've been guiltily eyeing FIFA 10, though).

PS3 games;

Narnia

Katamari Forever

Monopoly

Guitar Hero

Monsters Vs. Aliens

As so mentioned before, Little big planet

Golden Compass

If you're looking for something with cooking or fashion design I believe you should get a Wii or a DS. Those systems have such games..

Play Station is known more for it's 'Mature' content than anything else.

Also, If you're having problems with the internet connection there may be cards you can purchase at a Toys R Us or Walmart. I know they have them for the Wii but Ps3 is not a system I have researched. Unfortunately, that system just came out when I worked in a gaming center. And I'm more a DS/Wii girl.

Oh bleh. What is a "girl game?" Mythical animal. It's what people say exist when girls don't want to play games because the companies say girls are morons.
It what we're looking for are just less brutally violent games, there's of course Little Big Planet, Portal, the Penny Arcade game, the Persona games....I'd make a better list if we were looking at PC games and stuff from about 5 or more years ago. Midway through college I just didn't have the time for games anymore, so gave them up.

Oh hey, finally someone besides me and Brian that think Halo is overrated and lame. Huzzah~

When we were at Gamestop, I'm looking over the wall of PS3 games and it looked like all of them were horror/shooting/sports blah blah. They did have LIttle Big Planet but it was almost 60 bucks and I didn't want Brian to drop that much cash on a game I didn't know if I'd like. I know in the past, people have liked katamari games but I've never played one so I don't know much about those either.

We do have a Wii and a DS. I just wanted to have at least ONE game so I could use the PS3 too! I just get annoyed when there is a console in the house with nothing for me to play on it. In the store, Brian said "hey, now the Wii can be all yours". heh.. One of these days, we're going to have to send that off for repairs because it has this "flickering pixel" thing in little "strings" sometimes but it doesn't really affect playing anything and it's not *that* big of a deal yet so....

My DS is about 5 years old. I got it on my birthday after they came out and it's the heavy silver kind. I want to get a DsLite because the screen is brighter so I can play it in daylight. It's on my Christmas list so we'll see.

Games I like are puzzle/cute and some platformers. Think Kirby, Professor Layton, Phoenix Wright, Cooking/gardening Mama, etc etc. I found out yesterday at the store that there is a cooking mama 3 for DS eek

In some ways the industry is in kind of a shitty place, when you look at it from the right angle it feels like we're back in the pre ESRB days of somewhere around 1995 when Nintendo was actively censoring 3rd party games like the original Mortal Kombat and heavily emphasizing kid and family friendly games.

Nintendo hasn't done that in over ten years of course (they ended that when Mortal Kombat 2 debuted), but it feels to me like the industry has splintered along very narrow demographic lines. Nintendo cheaped out on the development on the Wii to the point where it can't run games produced on any of the current game engines to just coast on the "new gamer"/family thing.

Meanwhile, Microsoft and Sony took that as the signal to jettison any attempts at marketing to anyone but the "hardcore gamer" demographic. It's fairly depressing when my only serious option for partaking in contemporary gaming is the fratboy console. There's a few games I like sure, but mostly it's just shinier rehashes of the same s**t I've been playing for almost twenty years.
