Seamus purred as he was pet and watched Maia stand up. Oh, was he needed? He was a pretty good cuddler. Toby took Maia's hand and Seamus wandered behind them all the way to the med bay.

Lucy waited for them. She was not the medic that had given Maia her initial physical as that woman had been human, and this woman was green-skinned.

"Hello!" she chimed happily, "Come on in! You're Maia, right? You've got a whole team!"

Lori was already perched on a medical cot. He smiled and waved.

"Of course he did," Lori said. Toby looked back at the sidhe and smiled. The feline truly had been in much better spirits since Maia's return.

"Absolutely," Toby replied, hopping up on the next cot. Maia could sit in his lap or beside him, but he'd offer her his hand either way. Seamus hopped up directly after.

"Maybe!" Lori said with a nod, "It all depends on these tests. It's also possible you're just a selkie with an exception to the rules, and that's exciting too." He was smiling broadly.

Toby wrapped his arms around Maia's waist and Seamus settled into a loaf beside them for better petting.

"Alright, could I see your arm please?" Lucy asked. She gently took the arm Maia wasn't using and tied a tourniquet and rubbed her inner arm.

Seamus gave his usual trill amongst the purring and bumped his head into Maia's hand.

Lucy found a vein, but she had been given special instructions, so she walked away and came back with a tube of gel. She rubbed it into the fold of Maia's arm and released the tourniquet somewhat. Lori appeared then with a folded warm towel and put it over her arm.

"I think that means he loves you too," Toby said, "I'm sure if we had the sidhe-Ouija he'd say so."

Seamus trilled again.

"It might be a few weeks," Lori said casually. He didn't want to get the poor girl any more worked-up.

Toby noted the nervousness in Maia's mannerisms and smiled to her and gave her a soft kiss. "Hey, lean back." When Maia did, he began to massage under her jaw. "Close your eyes." Now he was whispering. He continued to massage her jaw, moving slowly across it.

Toby was moving up the lines of her cheekbones when Lucy removed the warm towel. She prodded the flesh there and got no response. Toby moved up to her temples and made eye contact with Lucy. A little brow furrow told her to go ahead. It took only one poke to get a flow of blood and small vials were being filled.

When it was over, a smirking Toby kissed his girlfriend's temple. Lucy was taping down a bit of gauze.

"Love, it's over," he said softly.

Everyone involved laughed, except Seamus. Seamus simply jumped down and headed back toward the offices.

"Of course. Except that means no more face massage." He kissed her ear. "Later tonight. Come on." He hopped down off of the cot and held his hand out for Maia.

"Thanks again," Lori said, giving Maia a broad smile.

"You look lonely, Lori. Boyfriend not joining you today?" Maia sat across from Lori, offering Pixie a small piece of pineapple. She took a bite of her sandwich, chewing and swallowing. "You know, it confuses me, the term 'half selkie'." she said. It'd been days since they'd first spoken about it. " I can't be the first. Probably not even the first HQ has seen. I figure the selkie gene is recessive like blue eyes are, and the human gene takes hold. But they've still got to have some fae genes in them." She paused and shrugged.

"Are they always so excited about something new?" she asked.
