I Have to deal with two things.

Bigots, and The Christian's. I have nothing against most Christians. Alot of my friends ar Christians. But There's a good deal who more or less think I'm a cult leader. Usually adults.
And Usually, when they Find out I have no religion with a book or something, just my own beleifs, they either show the bible at me, or Say I worship Satan because I Don't read the bible. So Then they try to tell their kids to stay away from me.
So I continue on Playing D&D (NOT A ******** LARP! DON'T START.) And Ignore them as best I can.
But, God, So many Christians try to convert every person they meet, and then If they CAN'T Convert them, treat them like abominations or something.

And I can get away with saying many for only two reasons. There's alot of them and Many isn't that much. Many Is a vauge number. many is between some and alot. In this case, some of alot. Or, a small ammount.

But, in general, it's the fanatics that piss me off. Reguardless of Religion. Christianity is just easier to use as an example because I'm familliar with it.

Oh, and the one's who can't stand me asking "But where did God Come from?" that bug me alot too. It's just a question. If you don't wanna deal with it, say you don't wanna think about it. Don't flip out.

Oh, and one more thing? I have read parts of the Bible. It has some interesting stuff. And some stuff that is more or less ignored by the people who read it. But who cares.

Besides, If enjoying the out doors, by definition of the Bible "Gods creation" or whatever, instead of going to church is Satanic, what the hell is going on here?
Seriously. If I want to spend time out doors, amoungst the trees instead of in another building, reading a book that is still questionable, Some of it is possible. Some of it is easy to say, yeah, that seems possible. I like some of the Ideas. But, still, I don't need some book to explain everything. If you think it's a good Idea, go for it. I'm not trying to change whatever it is you do or beleive in. I just personally think the best I can do to reach god is to be in nature, as opposed to a church.

I know the difference...My college has a group of D&Ders, and one of my friends who's with them (her character is a cleric with an alcohol problem) would regale us with tales of their pen-and-paper exploits.

"So we all had to jump off the cliff to escape the monster, and I cast Heal on myself and the others on the way down so we wouldn't die, and then we landed in Ravenloft!"

I want to play as a Bard or something, so I could garrotte (sp? I have no idea) monsters with spare lute strings. I would have gotten an invite if they hadn't already had a lot of people in the game.

I love the first Pirates movie. It was based on a Disneyland ride; it shouldn't have been good (remember "The Country Bears" and "The Haunted Mansion"?), but it was.
Also: Octopus fish-men for the win! Davey Jones must be Cthulhu's...nephew or something. But Cthulhu isn't a pirate.

That and the whole story is about one person who becomes a hero, it wouldn't work with a whole lot of people doing it.
