Snow seems prevalent on everyone's minds. It's been a snowy winter in my city too. I usually complain that the snow just misses us and so we don't get "snow days" for anything but ice. And so, even though it sounds good, I can't say it this time around. I am jealous of my brother and my nieces though. They got out of school twice for snow days so far and I still had to go to my University classes. xp
I loved the opening ceremonies for the Olympics and was able to watch the pair figure skating. I've got to say I love the ice skating the best out of all the Winter Olympic events.
@vballer: I love all three of them. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is an excellent read, along with Harry and co.'s little remarks off to the side. Quidditch through the Ages gives you a wonderful history of Quidditch and some of the related games that get mentioned but never explained. Tales of Beedle the Bard is my personal favorite. Maybe because I like fairytales, or maybe because I like Dumbledore's commentary about each one. It's really fun to get that glimpse into the Wizarding World that Tales of Beedle the Bard provides.
@Oshenukhar: Some other less known Ravenclaws include Terry Boot, Anthony Goldstein, Padma Patil, Mandy Brocklehurst, Michael Corner, Morag McDougal, Eddie Carmichael, Roger Davies, Penelope Clearwater, and Moaning Myrtle. Hope you enjoy being a Ravenclaw!

I own the Tales of Beedle the Bard, it's really good. My favorite sports are speed skating and figure skating though the figure skating takes a much higher precedence. Since I'm so busy with school I have to really pick what I want to watch so I'm choosing to only watch figure skating this olympics. But I'm really upset that I apparently missed the EPIC speed skating match where Korea took out two of its members.

AsianSpazz: I saw that speed skating race. I was practically yelling at the TV when all three Koreans pulled ahead and Ohno and Celski were in 4th and 5th respectively. Then when two of the Koreans took each other out, it was absolutely hilarious. I have never laughed a sports related accident like that in a LONG time. And one of the Koreans got DQed for causing the wipeout. So we took home a silver and a bronze. I also enjoy watching snowboarding.
We've had tons of snow, and no snow days. It makes me mad.

Well, there are some days when I want snow days, but I hate having to make up the extra days at the end of the year.
So I had my counselor appointment a couple days ago so I could schedule my classes next year, and my appt. is scheduled for 1:35. I don't actually get in to meet with my counselor til 2:25, and we only have 5 minutes left in the school day. I got all my classes scheduled, but I missed all of Algebra, which meant I missed the whole lesson. Though I did get to skip the quiz yesterday and simply take the average of my two previous quizzes. But I was there for an hour doing nothing except talk to people that I barely know. It wasn't fun. And it made me really mad. And now I'm rambling.
I'm excited-I turn sixteen in less than a week. But on my birthday, I'll be spending the whole day at school because the first night of the fresh-soph play is on my birthday.

HAPPY ALMOST BIRTHDAY!! Please tell me some of you guys have been watching the women's ice skating at the olympics? Kim Yu-Na, one word... AMAZING. I've been so busy sweatdrop with deadline, school violin so much stuff. We just had our FIRST snow day yesterday. Where I live, snow days are like once ever 3-5 years literally. It wasn't even snow it was more like soft mushy icy snow but it was still amazing, all of us were hanging out outside playing in it.

Hello again, my fellow Ravenclaws!
It's been a long time since I've been in our common room, and I don't really know why either...none the less, I thought I would come in and see how everyone's doing.
There are a lot of new faces that I don't recognize along with the old familliar ones, it makes me feel as if I'm new here too because I don't know anyone anymore. Ah, well, I'm just so glad to be back here again!

Wow. It's already March. It feels like this school year has flown by. Next thing I'll know, I'll be a junior. Yikes!
Gosh, I haven't been in a while (Note: not going on the computer for more than five days is a long time for me). But I've been so busy lately-I've had drama all last week because the Fresh-Soph play was last week, and I've been slammed with homework, and of course the usual dance and church stuff going on. But now the Fresh-Soph play is done and I have a life outside of school now. At least for a little bit, because then crew starts meeting for the Spring Musical. So basically, I'll be keeping myself busy.
Asian: I'm sure that must have been nice-having a snow day and all. Since it's March, I highly doubt that we're going to have a snow day this year. Oh well. That just means that we won't have to make any days up at the end of the year.
Yeah, I was watching the Olympics every minute that I could. I love them, and I'm sad that they're over.

hope you had fun! I went to 2 parties on Friday and Saturday, a freshman's birthday party on friday and a little baking party with 7 seniors. Though I'm close to the freshmen in age, I have to say that the senior one was much better. I felt like I was seriously babysitting the freshmen on friday, while as on Saturday it was much calmer but more fun. And I probably got so fat off of everything we made XP.
