Love Hero Quest. My dad played that with my brother and I on the kitchen table when I was like 6 or 7. It is fond memories.
@ XI: I voted XI since I knew it would get no love except from the people who wasted their lives on it. I played the game since the NA pre-release (lol @ the whole 'get the game a week early by ordering online' thing) with my last foray into Vana'diel ending last November when I closed my account.
Highest class was 41 whm... or would have been if I hadn't ended up at 42 blm because I was bored and didn't want to leave the party that got me to 40. Most other classes were between 10 and 20, except for a 29 pld who was just there because I wanted to be able to set up my Bazaar in Jeuno wearing a full set of self-signed Kamph to draw attention to my crafting stats.
I wanted to do a lot of the high level stuff but just didn't have anyone to play with... and it is a party game, which is what I love the most about it. It just got hard to find a party sometimes and you'd sit around for an hour or two without getting a bite some nights.
Most of my time in the game was spent
sight-seeing (and subsequently
getting killed by things 50 levels above me for shits and giggles). And crafting. So much crafting. I had more money than I could spend. We had spreadsheets set up for experimenting on HQ rates. I think 78% was the highest we managed to average over an hour under the proper conditions (as well as doing other things that
should not have been possible).
Fun game. Can't wait for 14.
