Amenitre nodded, and Atem gave his daughter an odd look before taking Nanu's hand again and leaving the room. When they were a good enough distance away, he said mildly, "Funny how she didn't say anything about your eye." "Hmph. There's nothing shameful about living to a nice old age and dying in your sleep. People who think that dying in battle is the best way to go need to be re educated." Seto spoke seriously, but he grinned to let her know he was just teasing.

Ayira laughed "I dident say it was the only way to go. You eather want to die in battle or die of old age." Ayira smiled "I plan to become very very old."
Nanu nodded "I was thinking the same thing."

"I plan to be murdered." Seto said, his smile fading. "I've got a lot of enemies who wouldn't like anything more than to see me dead." Without a word, he pulled off his shirt. There was a long strip of bandages wrapped around his middle, with one bloodstained spot off to one side. "See here? Someone did that just the other day. I guess I deserved it, poisoning his wife, but he is a threat to the entire kingdom. The pharaoh doesn't seem to be in agreement with me."

"I'm a priest. I've been through medical training." Seto said, tugging his shirt back on. "It'll be fine. I'll be fine."

Seto grumbled but did as she said, to avoid getting into a meaningless argument. He sighed and leaned against the wall near the head of his bed, watching Ayira as she rooted through her bag. He hoped she wasn't going to pull some kind of ointment out and insist on using it on him.

Ayira pulled out a small pouch of liquid and bandages. "Alright can you undo those bandages for me?" shesaid kindly.

Seto looked at the pouch suspiciously, but began to unwind the bandages, wincing when they were all off. It was a nasty-looking wound; Bakura had done it in a fit of anger, so the cut was deep and crude. It was as though the thief had tried to rip Seto open. "Hey, you ever hear of a thief named Bakura?"

"No..I havent." Ayira opened the pouch and poured it onto his wound. The liquid turned out to just be water. She closed the pouch and then took thread and needle from her bag as well as a small jar of pale green goop. She opened it and smeared the goop around the edges of the wound. She waited a moment and he would soon feel the woundarea becoming numb. She then sewn the wound shut. She used more water to clean the wound before she started to wrap it agian.

"He needs to die... because that would be the most merciful thing to do. My father told me what happened to him..." As Ayira worked on his wound, Seto briefly told her about the village of Kul Elna and the Millennium Items. "He's completely mad, but the pharaoh won't kill him, for whatever reason. The pharaoh doesn't even know why Bakura hates him, and nobody can tell him." Seto poked at his still-numb, but freshly wrapped, wound. "Hey, thanks."

Seto was pulling his shirt back on when there was a knock at the door. He got up to see who it was, and found a small child standing before him. He bowed slightly to the princess, stepping back. "Amenitre. Don't you have some kind of studying to be doing?" Amenitre looked pouty as she entered the priest's room. She didn't see Ayira yet. "Papa says he's marrying Nanu. If they have a child, will the baby have higher status than me?" She asked, looking up at Seto. "This is Amenitre, pharaoh's daughter. Amenitre, this is Ayira, who will be staying a while." Seto spoke as he pulled the door shut. Instead of answering Amenitre, he looked to Ayira. "I sometimes have to teach Amenitre about politics and such. She always comes to seek me out when she has a question. She-- hey! Ow!" Seto jumped backwards, since Amenitre had just kicked him in his shin.
